I have the dcs391, bought it as a bare tool, your dcs393 i believe came as a multi tool kit. My 391 has a magnesium base, which is lighter and stronger than the 393. The brake seems to stop very quick on my 391, as fast as the new saw, i dont know. For what i use my saw for, no need to up grade for the moment. I understand that a brushless motor will not drain the battery as quick. Anyways, thanks for your review.
You are very welcome if the one you have works great then leave it. If you need to cut thicker wood just get the higher amp battery but the difference is not much. Just make sure your blade is a good blade and it should work just fine. Thank you
I picked up this saw not to long ago. The manual references using a rip fence for stability, but mine did not come with one. Is it not included or is mine missing a piece?
Hello I finally got some answers from Dewalt looks like the manual mentions the guide but doesnt bring it. I contacted them and they are sending me one. They are only like 17 bucks but if you need one here is a Amazon link amzn.to/3nN5Jyc or ask them via the website about it that its mentioned on the manual but not included and see if you get lucky. Here is the part number they gave me. 381091-00 Hope this helps. Thank you
Hi. Very nice presentation I do the same thing but my blade has a little bit of play and as a result my cuts do not come very straight. Do you have any ideas ? I put my circular saw against a level and I do my cut. After I do the cut I put a straight edge against my cut and I see day light. I would appreciate if you guide me. Thanks.
Hello I just checked mine and it also has a small play on the blade kind of weird. You would think it should be tight. I haven't noticed inconsistency on the cuts but now I wonder. Time to call Dewalt see if this is a normal thing or not. I am wondering if the blade makes a difference in the cut quality. I wonder if you need a perfect cut then maybe a track saw might be the answer. I dont cut wood to build furniture only use it for rough materials that dont need a perfect edge so havent noticed that. Maybe something like this might help amzn.to/481Xcs7 Thank you
@@ExtremDIY Hi. Thanks for responding. Now I feel better that there is nothing wrong with my saw. I was thinking to add a very tiny washer in front of the blade. What do you think ? Thanks for sending me the Kreg’s link. I have tried all these accessories none of them work properly. I agree with you to get a track saw. I see a lot of different reviews and I do not know which one to get besides Festool. Again I appreciate your prompt feed back.
Hello as soon as I moved the blade I thought lets put a washer on there. I wonder since the blade is so thin maybe getting a more aggressive or thicker blade might improve the quality. I replaced my blade to a 40T in the video for finer cut than the one it comes with 18T. I think the most professional and accurate is Festool for woodwork like you mentioned. Thanks
Nice review! Will the 565 saw run with a smaller battery at least for a short time like the ones that come with the drills. I have several of them. I believe they are 1.3AH batteries. I only have one 4AH battery and thought if I can use one of the smaller batteries while the bigger battery gets charged back up would be nice.
Thank you it does run with the smaller battery but you wont get as much torque on it as the 4 ah battery. I have 9 ah and it works pretty cool. Also depends on the wood. If its wet then the small battery wont last long but will work.
Hello do you have the same model saw. If you have an older one maybe doesnt have the brake. If you have that model with the brake and doesnt then could be defective. I love the brake on it. thanks
I have DCS573 and it seems to have a brake problem, it starts then it stops from the brake. I have been using full charged batteries and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. What could be causing this issue? It doesn’t get used very often so it is still like new.
Hello I have not had that problem but many people have. I didnt find the answer for you and looked all over. You can check the lock option when you remove the blade to see if its not in. Try to pull on it and try to use it to see if that works. If not its the brake option. Try to call Dewalt for warranty to see if they can help. It seems to be a common issue with Dewalt saws. Also bearings too. Thanks
I believe you are correct. Its one of the older ones that I have there so I used for the review. I replaced most of my Dewalt tools with new ones and in the combo kit set it has 2 new 4ah batteries I hadnt even open the tools yet when I did the video. The saw didnt come with the battery so I ended up using the black one. Love the new saw. Thank you
Thank you for the review its exactly what I was looking for but wasnt sure which one to get. Thank you
Thats a great review on the circular saw. Thank you
Fantastic review on the saw. thanks
Very nice !! Thank you for the review
Fantastic review thank you

Hello, mine didn't come with one either. Now that you mention it, I will ask Dewalt why's not included. Keep you posted

What activates the brake? My saw just stops after a few seconds making using it impossible. I can’t finish even a short cut.
