I used cherry wood for the first project (the bird on the heart). The dimensions of my whole piece of wood (together with a 'handle') were:
    7 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.7 cm or
    2 3/4 x 1 x 5/8
I used oak for the second project. The dimensions of my piece were:
    8.5 cm x 2.5 cm x 1.2 cm or
3 5/16 x 1 x 1/2 in imperial units (hopefully it makes sense, I am still struggling with these units).

you really are the best for beginners. Thank you for not making these too technical and explaining. Are you a teacher?

Thank you so much! I am still trying to find the best way to approach it, so I appreciate the feedback! I have taught languages, I don't know if it is helping... maybe! 😊😄

Love it, so concise and straight to the point. Will be carving them for sure! Thanks for the patterns too. As someone who has no idea how to draw they will prove useful, lol

I appreciate your videos. Do you have a particular knife that you prefer for smaller carvings?

Thank you! I mostly use Flexcut detail knife kn13. It's rather affordable and I've been using it for years

Cool. That's what I'm currently using aswell.
Not to pry, but I seen in another video of yours where you recieved a couple OCCT knives. Wondering if you like the flexcut over those ones or does it just depend waht you're doing?
      Cheers@@Werewolfwhittles

@WobblingHobGoblin occ tools are really nice, they have beautiful steel.. I think I keep using flexcut because I got so used to it... it's like one jumper that you wear whole winter, you know 😄 but I will try to use occ tools more and will let you know the results in a new vlog!
