I’m so happy I decided to get braces, I’ve had them for about 3 months total now & my teeth have drastically changed already. I still have months to go before they come off but I’m so happy.
My orthodontist is so good and caring I’m lucky to have found him. He explains everything he’s doing and checks in on how I feel when he’s adjusting. The man even apologizes!
Damn I wish I had one like you jeez! I'm trying to fix my wire but I can across this so just gonna relax for a bit! But my wire is poking my gum and my orthodontist is closed at the moment so I'm trying my best to fix it!
My orthodontist is similar in some way Not rude, but she does not communicate with me, she just look over work she tells else someone to do. She is not friendly, I have chosen the wrong ortho but since am in process already I keep telling myself am getting my teeth fix for me so it about self care and the money am spending is on me. So I used this as mean of conciliation.

I’m soo happy I got my braces ! I was so nervous at first because I really thought they would hurt, I recently got the thicker wire put on, my teeth was alittle sore for 3 days but not too bad ! So excited to see what my teeth look like after treatment !
Every video I watch, people talk about how tightening their braces hurt so much and tbh I don't find the pain to be that bad😂 I've had mine on for almost a year, and I'm always excited for the next tightening appointment. My teeth have improved so much so far.
I absolutely love my orthodontist he's always cheerful and explains a lot that's going on and he just seems like another family member always makes me feel welcomed he goes over and beyond to make sure I love my results and fixes what I don't I definitely recommend him 🥰🥰
Glad to see your back Dr.Greg, I think the unknown is scary. But getting braces is one thing you should not be scared of doing. Dr. Greg has a video of someone getting braces on. That's exactly how it's done. The only pain is a a dry mouth with your mouth open. The reason is to have a brackets glue on your tooth it needs to be dry with your tongue back and open. Your going to be fine. On the day you get your braces you'll add a sparkle to your your smile. Good luck your going to do great.
16 months (1 year and a half) since my 1st installation and I still not break any bracket, your videos help us, patients, to answer all of our curiosity, very informative 💌
I think you did a great job in the video! I recently got my round arch wires changed for rectangular wires, and the first few days were very difficult (like the first week with braces), but I eventually got used to the new wires. The orthodontist said that it may be my last wire if everything progresses quickly, so hopefully I'll get my braces out by summer! :)
He’s back 🥲 makes a lot of sense now ! I always wondered about the different wires they use ! I’m six month in with no broken brackets and in a thick rectangular wire ! I guess this means I’ve made progress !

I got my braces 4 days ago AND IT IS EXTREMELY PAINFUL because of all the mouth ulcers its causing, my teeth are extremely out of place, maybe gets better once they get more in line.
@@chandrionnanorman2117 yes! Also I started using sensodyne whitening toothpaste. It helped a bit with the sensitivity after adjustments. Plus I will help keep my teeth white for when the brackets are removed so it won’t be too much of a color difference

@@zaffiruddin6808 i got mine taken off 2 days ago 😁, the end result is awesome! Couldn’t believe they were my teeth lol. It was a little uncomfortable when my teeth were being cleaned from the cold air being put almost directly on my teeth while they were polishing them. Getting fitted for the plastic retainers was also a little uncomfortable. Now just getting used to wearing the retainers at night only while my mouth heals 👍🏾 love my new smile 😁😁😁
Getting braces is the best choice I ever made. Still got about 12 - 18 months of treatment to go but the improvements are already amazing. That said, my orthodontist is going to start pulling down one of my canines soon (Will be cutting the gum to do it, fun times ^_^).
have LOTS ibuprofen on call because i could barley eat soup for the first few weeks 😩 i remeber having broccoli cheddar soup and having to take the broccoli out because it was too painful to chew.
Yesterday makes my 1 year with ceramic braces and yes I am 36 year old. .My gap almost gone , my overbite almost. My top lips not over my bottom lips anymore they kinda looks even yes braces gave me kylie jenner lips. My tooth looks straight and oh yeah my face has changed soo much. I am over the moon beyond excited. I am glad i got braces.

Why does my orthodontist just show up at random times in the appointment, tell the woman doing the work what to do, doesn’t even say hi and just leaves again? I know he is busy but it seems so rude. The person who does all the work is always so nice and gives a lot of detail on what’s happening
@@mistythecat3050 mine hurt badly for the first two days (first was the worst, second slightly better) but it’s not a sharp kind of pain, it’s more of an achy pain. The best way I can describe it is that my front two teeth felt bruised. I managed without any painkillers so it’s not too bad but it just continued to get better over the next couple of days. Your teeth will also feel really weak so you won’t want to chew on anything for at least a week, even two but it’s really not all that bad and worth it in the end! (my two front teeth probably hurt a lot because I had a 7-8mm gap and it pretty much closed within a few hours haha)
@@mistythecat3050 the first day was fine the 2nd day did hurt and after the 3rd day nothing hurt anymore and after 5 days i could eat almost everything again

I wish my orthodontist explains the process of what’s going on every visit. I can see the drastic change though But a little more information would be nice from them. This was great information I gotta stop breaking my brackets lol
TBH, I didn't change what I ate and I never broke a bracket. One of my Orthodontist assistants actually broke off may back bracket trimming the wires, but that wasn't my fault and she fixed it on the spot. TBF I don't eat sticky chewy candy, but I ate nuts and KIND bars the whole way. I did avoid biting into very hard fruit, like I chopped apples, but that is about it. I did eat popcorn, but I always flossed after and I never bit into any unpoppped kernels.
I do not like my teeth at all. 😫 They are so crooked, and I have gotten bullied at school for my teeth. I just want braces, but my parents are divorced and cant afford them.😭
I just got mine a few days ago at 30 years old! I would save as much as you can and pay for them doing yourself. Ask for money for birthdays and christmas. I wish I'd saved my money when I was younger and got them earlier instead of wasting it.
I got a bracket on my last crooked tooth a couple weeks ago (had a lot of crowding on the bottom but have small teeth so I didn’t want extractions), and my tooth has already come forward and I’m like omg. Scratching my upper lip with my teeth feels like dentures now 😂 I’ve always wanted to know how it felt to have straight bottom teeth. It’s so surreal to me.
two weeks ago I just had my top braces and separators. yesterday I had my bottom braces out in as well got my wire changed from the top I heard them say those numbers and thankfully now I know what they meant.
My granddaughter has an open coil spring on her braces. Half of the spring has come off of the arch wire. Is there a way that we can get the spring back onto the arch?

@ for me it hurt when they took the elastics off and put new elastics on. When I first got my braces it didn’t hurt at all until a few hours later.

@@mistythecat3050 mine hurt badly for the first two days (first was the worst, second slightly better) but it’s not a sharp kind of pain, it’s more of an achy pain. The best way I can describe it is that my front two teeth felt bruised. I managed without any painkillers so it’s not too bad but it just continued to get better over the next couple of days. Your teeth will also feel really weak so you won’t want to chew on anything for at least a week, even two but it’s really not all that bad and worth it in the end! (my two front teeth probably hurt a lot because I had a 7-8mm gap and it pretty much closed within a few hours haha)

TBH, I didn't change what I ate and I never broke a bracket. One of my Orthodontist assistants actually broke off may back bracket trimming the wires, but that wasn't my fault and she fixed it on the spot. TBF I don't eat sticky chewy candy, but I ate nuts and KIND bars the whole way. I did avoid biting into very hard fruit, like I chopped apples, but that is about it. I did eat popcorn, but I always flossed after and I never bit into any unpoppped kernels.
I do not like my teeth at all. 😫 They are so crooked, and I have gotten bullied at school for my teeth. I just want braces, but my parents are divorced and cant afford them.😭

I got my braces for $600 on smiles changes lives. you gotta fill a $35 application though. But it’s worth it if they approve you.
I just got mine a few days ago at 30 years old! I would save as much as you can and pay for them doing yourself. Ask for money for birthdays and christmas. I wish I'd saved my money when I was younger and got them earlier instead of wasting it.
I got my braces at 30 hahaha, it's worth the pain and bad memories from crooked teeth.

I got a bracket on my last crooked tooth a couple weeks ago (had a lot of crowding on the bottom but have small teeth so I didn’t want extractions), and my tooth has already come forward and I’m like omg. Scratching my upper lip with my teeth feels like dentures now 😂 I’ve always wanted to know how it felt to have straight bottom teeth. It’s so surreal to me.

two weeks ago I just had my top braces and separators. yesterday I had my bottom braces out in as well got my wire changed from the top I heard them say those numbers and thankfully now I know what they meant.
I get braces soon! Kinda worried but looking forward to getting straight teeth 🌝

I eat whatever I want and I’ve never broken a bracket Thank God. 🙏🏽 Even been bold enough to eat ribs and corn on the cob and no broken brackets.
