    I love what your doig . One little bit at a time. From what I've seen with other videos on You Tube, I see them doing a whole lot of tack welds all the way along where you want to weld. Then coming back and adding more spot welds in between those . Repeat. Eventually you will need to only run a continuous bead in short streches. Also alternating from one end to the other to avoid too much heat building up. I am no expert, only repeating what I have seen. I need to do the same kind of thing and teach myself to weld. I plan on watching alot of online training videos as well. Keep at it and you will get there. The feeling of satisfaction that you did it yourself is its own reward.
