Absolutely love SamSho and glad it’s still being played at tournaments! It’s the ultimate game in footsies, punishing whiffs, fundamentals and player knowledge. No fancy combos that take half an hour to perform. No prolonged matches whittling down health. No gimmicky characters that fill the screen with flashy distractions. Just pure player versus player, knowledge based play is king.
I am so happy this game feels like its slowly coming back, covid and delay based netcode really robbed this game of the spotlight it deserves. We have rollback now and a passionate community. Love to see it
my friend, it ain't her ankles we love Baiken for xD. Seriously I always thought she and Dizzy were Cygames' best designs and I do think she fits Samurai better than GG. Would be epic if Cygames and SNK just leave her in future SamSho content

Hate questions like this. People will play form the love of the game. Bigger communities means tournament events. People still competing at Street Fighter 2 and other games from the 90s.
Yeah, people even still play games from the 90s because they're mostly from a generation that enjoys stuff instead of quickly looking for the next "best thing" to move on to.

Nah the netcode killed this game. If you don't like the 3d that's cool and all, to each their own but actually this game to this day is the best looking 3d SNK has made. Once Garou is out they will give and even bigger step forward.

I think you mean ArcSys. CyGames made Rage of Bahamut and Granblue Fantasy, Arc System Works made Guilty Gear and Blazblue.

The art style killed this game. Just ugly and dated (in a bad way) to look at. Loved the fundamentals in the gameplay
