Easy to follow and I love how it turned out. After making the tail with 20 stitches it looked a bit long so I left it at 20 stitches and did a little whip stitch to keep the base of the tail closer to the body and it turned out perfect. Thank you for this pattern.
Love this project. I love how well you explain everything & how you make it so easy for beginners to make beautiful pieces! Yes for the pattern design!❤
I have picked up my crochet needles for the first time in a decade and I am absolutely thrilled to have found you and your simple way of explaining the magic circle, I did it first time and I remember it being a giant pain my butt! Thank you so much! ❤
That's awesome to hear, I'm so pleased you have re-found your love for crocheting :-)
My first crochet project using the magic circle. You are a great teacher and I look forward to doing other patterns with you. I made the cat coaster with you step by step and I am so happy how it came out. Thank you.
Thank you, so glad you liked it! X
Thank you so much! I have knitted for years and just recently started crochet. I finally understand how to make a cat coaster,I have watched a few videos , and this is the first one that is understandable. Amazing how you were able to include some basic crochet into your talking. You are also very entertaining and down to earth! I am looking forward to more projects with you.
That's so lovely to hear, thank you :-)
Loved this pattern. So simple to follow along. I also really appreciated the use of the pie analogy to explain the increases to create a circular pattern. Thank you!
Thanks :-)
Can't wait to make some of these! They look great! All my kids love cats, so this is a fantastic idea for gift-giving. 😊
Ok, having watched the whole video now, I want to say three things - (1) You do an excellent job explaining how to make a magic circle, (2) You make crocheting this round cat coaster super simple, showing clearly how to put in the increases and add on the ears and tail at the end, and (3) Yes, I'd love a video in the future that discusses developing our own pattern variations.
For instance my 17yo daughter has two pet Shetland sheep, and I'd love to make her a set of coasters. Next to the ears, I'd need to add little curved horns. Hmmm.... I might just give it a go and experiment. How bad could it be? (Maybe really bad? ☺️)
That’s the beauty of crochet it’s so easy to experiment with different stitches to make a pattern! Plus it’s so satisfying to know your created something from scratch ☺️
This cat coaster is darling, will be a perfect gift for my sister in law ❤️
The perfect handmade present for all cat mammas! 🥰 I’d love to see the final creation. You can tag me on Insta @crochetandtea I’d love to share your coaster with my followers ☺️
Thank you for taking the time to show us how to make these. My granddaughter and daughter both love cats, so these are perfect for them. Well Done!!
Thank you, that’s so lovely to hear :)
My sister and her family are waiting to hear back about an apartment. Finally! They are cat people! So perhaps I’ll have to surprise them with these adorable coasters!
Thank you!
Yay to cat people, they’re the best! I’m sure they’ll love some of these for their new apartment :)

You have such a soothing voice and I learn a lot from you!

I can't wait to try these! So cute! I want to make them for my sister and my son who both have grey tabby cats. I found this on Pinterest and it started on this one. I may try to go back and see all the other days as well. So fun and I love how you showed your magic circle, I have such a hard time with those, but I am sure I can follow your video. :)
That's amazing, hope you have fun making these :-)
Thanks..beautifully done....
Thanks 🙏
I love this pattern. I made a set of 4 for my crazy cat lady friend. I went to make the heart coaster again, and could not find the video. Thanks so much for post fun videos, I really enjoy them.
Ooooh what colour cat coaster did you make?
@@CrochetandTea It has mixed colors of greens, lavender and purple. I tried to post a picture, but it would not let me.
@@karynwhite3708 Are you on Instagram? You can tag me @crochetandtea

Thank you, that's so nice to hear :-)
So cute and so easy thank you
Thank you x
Thank you for the tutorial! my first language isn't english but i can understand it well:))
Glad you found it useful. Thanks 🙏
Can I just ask, what is the easiest way to block and shape the coaster? I've even done some flat circle ones, but the edges tend to curl up slightly :)
I usually spray with a little water, place a tea towel over the top and then a couple of books overnight. Hope that helps :)
I did it thank you
Amazing :-)
Great tutorial! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I like it!. I will have to try it soon!. 😀
Thanks 😊
You are so welcome.
you are a joyment watching your video's l am up to making 89 coasters and they are all different colors
Wow 89 that’s amazing! You’ll have to take a pic of them all laid out!!!!
Meow meow!
🥰
falafel and hummus recipe ! Don't hide it next time. I love it.
🙌
I would love that learn how to create pay😊
:-)
Love the look of these! Could you pop a summary of the pattern in the comments to follow? Thanks!
I'm afraid this was created from a grid, I don't always draft up longhand patterns :-)
This is probably dumb but is there a written pattern somewhere? I'm trying to learn to read patterns by having them both written and following along with a video to make sure I understand. Cheers
Sorry I didn't create a written pattern for this :-)
This is so adorable! Your instructions are so easy to follow. I'm still beginner/intermediate so your detailed steps are so nice. Thank you for sharing!
That’s awesome 😎 so glad I could help :)
Got a bit confused with doing the ears please can you explain again, I am visually impaired and had managed to follow up to that point. Thanks
Sorry to hear you struggled with the video instruction :-)
Please could you just break down the steps for the ears or let me have written steps for that but. The rest of the video was good
l enjoy your coasters , why don't you buy a ball winder so wool won't roll around on the table
Thanks for the suggestion 😁
Have you ever tried to make a guitar coaster? I would like to make one for my husband.
I haven't tried a guitar yet, there's so many shaped to consider. I'm sure if you found a tutorial for a rounded triangle coaster you could say it was a plectrum...? :-)
@@CrochetandTea I was thinking more of an acoustic guitar. You know a figure 8 style. Thanks.
why not turning your triangles into school colors ,and collages colors
Thanks for the tips 🙌
Interest in pattern design
Pattern design in general or the pattern for this coaster?
Love this pattern but unfortunately was too hard for me to follow without the actual pattern printed
Sorry to hear that :-)
Muy hermoso trabajo😍pero....habla mucho , y no da las instrucciones específicas 😰😰
:-)
Very nice pattern but much chatter is annoying!
Glad you liked the pattern :)
