    Great tutorial, loving the kiwi accent! My first coaster has a little haemorrhoid 😅 looking forward to making more, works up super quickly. I used 3g of baby yarn for a mock up, guessing you need closer to 6g of a heavier weight for a more solid coaster. Thank you!

    this is a lovely tutorial but i have a question. why can't i tighten the bum in the beginning? when i pull on the tail nothing happens :/ does anyone know how i can fix this?

    • @sunflowersonthemoon4729
      @sunflowersonthemoon4729 3 месяца назад +1

      Ive been trying to figure this out for an hour lol, but I think I found the problem. When you first make a slipknot you should be able to tighten it by pulling the end of the yarn, not the yarn that you’re going to use to make the stitches. When you start making a slipknot and you make the loop, pull the end-side of the yarn through the loop to make the knot, instead of the other side. I can’t really explain it, I hope it makes sense! I didn’t know you had to tie the loop in this way I guess I’ve been doing that wrong 😅

    I’m very new to crocheting, and I’m having a lot of trouble getting past the first 10 half doubt crochet stitches to start the circle. It does not look like the video, but I don’t think I’m doing it wrong. My stitches are so tight I can’t get my hook through them and I don’t know how to move onto the next step. Any recommendations to figure this out, I wanted to make these for Christmas presents 😢

    • @laine5658
      @laine5658 Год назад +1

      You might be using the wrong hook size or pulling the yarn too tightly

  • @AbLaV
    @AbLaV 3 года назад +4

    I don't know how I can follow the same pattern twice and end up with two slightly different coasters. Ones tail is more right than the other is, even though I swear I followed the exact same steps. I honestly think my tension was different on the first one than the second one because I was more tense and focused

    • @MummaJCrochet
      @MummaJCrochet  3 года назад +2

      I've done that with patterns I've followed before or I get distracted and my tension changes 🙃

    Mine turns out great, but when I work on the fur, it starts to turn in and won’t lay flat. Is it because of the size of yarn or my hook? My hook is a 3.5, and the yarn I’m using is a wool yarn. The label fell off. Is there a way to loosen it up? Great video! Thank you!!
