    The biggest problem with being a forklift operator is not that we don't want to fallow each and every safety rule available. The problem is employers assuming we can follow them all while running you on as thin a line as possible. You can be the world's most perfect driver but over time if you keep making the road you gotta take more difficult them humanly possible then the safety ends up flying out the door a bit just so you can keep your job without being hastled by the employer for not meeting your quota. Fact is most employers want as much profit as they can squeeze with as little manpower as possible because they see more manpower as money wasted.

    • @Statimtek
      @Statimtek 5 лет назад +3

      This true.However safety should always be first priority and simple things such as using your seat belt, looking when backing, driving with your forks as low as possible and driving in reverse with a load do not take any extra time and should always be on the drivers mind and applied when ever they get onto their P.I.T. Shortcuts such as speeding, not fully stopping at stop signs, airplaning ,distracted driving, using your horn, etc, come in to play with what you are saying, however working for a company that demands safety at all times makes for good habits at future jobs. If your boss notices dangerous habits you will be called on that too.Especially when it comes to accidents or near misses.Any company worth their salt will enforce safety, for their employees and protection of their product.Any driver worth their salt should be able to be fast and be safe.

    Okay as a someone with a few years of experience driving reach, cb, bendi, and all sorts of trucks and attachments. I would say he can drive a counter balance, and he is fairly quick, but my biggest issue is right at the beginning of the vid, as he is speeding down the warehouse, not looking ahead for seconds, glance ahead, then looking away again. He does the same thing later reading the pick list speeding down the warehouse. Them gas trucks are quick, I've driven them... He pulls a bit of a dangerous joke on his reversing mate at 5:45... them are the main issues, I am surprised no one mentioned them...

    • @thatguy6638

      Yup, immediately he shows that he drives dangerously. He could've easily killed someone stepping out from behind one of the rows. If I was a foreman I woulda sent him home and gave him a written warning. There's a poster in the main office in the mill I work at and it shows a tank in one photo and a forklift in the other. The caption says "These can kill you instantly. One is a Tank."

    I am an FLT operator here in the UK. I hold my B1 counterbalance with a B2 clamp addition. I'm also a qaulified insutructor and examiner.
    Ive worked at two companies since I left school at 16, I did a FLT Operator trainee progrom. (I am now 28 years old at the time of writing this comment).
    This lad is a danger to himself and the people who work around him, I spotted 5 serious faults within the first 5 minutes of the video.
    Operating is not about speed, its about saftey and presision. Any member of leadership pressuring operators to speed up is in breach of health and safety guidelines.
    This lad needs a refresher course and showing what can heppen when a FLT accident occurs.

    Yup its dangerous while turning with a load in the air but if you know what you can and can't do while its raised, no problem...you are not going to go peddle to the metal while turning, that would be stupid and there are circumstances when you need to turn while raised with a load.

      Отвечу на ваш вопрос. Погрузички немецкой фирмы LINDE оснащены системой безопасности: пока педаль не нажмешь погрузчик не поедет. Погрузчки этой фирмы оснащены гидростатическим движителем, по сути они ездят с помощью гидравлики.

    • @aleksander8209
      @aleksander8209 3 года назад

      @@aleksander1982 я на линде езжу. И ой как хорошо он катится. Когда-то специально проверял. Стал на дороге с маленьким уклоном, отпустил педали, и как не странно, он покатился. Нажал тормоз - он стал, отпустил - покатился. И это у меня не старый линде. Ездил на старом, там вообще с этим беда, только стояночный тормоз. А так - крутые погрузчики, работать с двух педалей гораздо быстрее, чем с джойтиком переключения хода вперед и назад.

No seatbelt. Not even the e brake. For your safety and others take your time and follow those rules. Your company rather has a clean record then one that says you hurt or killed someone because you failed to follow these basic rules.
