Srixon have nailed their designs this year, beautiful looking club and you can see how nicely they would sit when blended with some zx5's or 7's. Keep up the great content Lee 👍
I hit fairway woods so so and pull most hybrids. I never considered a utility club before your review. My HC is 14 and head speed 84-85 with my 4 iron so, without asking for a free fitting would a utility club be an option for me to look into.
Thanks for a great review, the ZX utility looks superb and I will be looking to test the 2 iron to potentially replace my 5 wood as I now play loads of links golf.
“Bitterly cold”... hahaha, midday here in Canada and has warmed up to -17. Looks like I’m not golfing today. I’m intrigued with utility irons and might try some out to compare against my hybrids this year.
Hi Lee, I see you are pushing your long irons. I had a Mizuno fli-hi 3 iron because I struggle to hit a hybrid consistently and I would do the same. I now use a Cleveland UHX 3 iron, it’s ugly and has a huge amount of offset but it is fantastic for me and I play off 8. After the Cleveland driver results I would like to see you try the UHX, I think you could be a full Cleveland bag!
Great review Lee as always, I really dont know what clubs I need, clubs have improved so much, I have started playing again after nearly 2 decades, I will definitely go and have a fitting. As I am using cheapo Slazenger 300 Driver, Ping eye 2 - 3,5,7 wood wilson 1200 TR irons and Ping anser putter of which I bought around 1985/6 it a shame I gave my old Ping eye 2 driver away
Srixon are certainly producing some great new product this year, hope you will be testing the new ZX4 irons that are due out. I think they are based on the driving irons .
Nice vid Lee...is this club dependant on swing speed...mines about 90-95....can you tell me also the equivalent of a Mizuno clk 14 degree ...is it close to a 1iron - 2iron ...keep up the good work ...PS who’s picking the balls up 👌🏻
@@LWG ok cool is it because you just like new shiny stuff lol as you’ve said in the past or do you think you will find something more suited to your game
@@davidballard9781 chances are I’ll get some form of ambassadorship this year due to being a retailer so I’ll likely get fit by that brand. If I fit myself I’m directed by ego 😂😂
@@LWG So that means you'll be hitting the green fabric you have to stop the balls exactly (or as near as) in the same place all the time every time. I would have thought you might have hung some ribbon on the fence, then used the GCQuad alignment stick to point at the ribbon. Each day you can move the ribbon a bit so as to even out the wear on the fence.
Probably a stupid question but what's the difference between a utility iron and a normal iron? Great review by the way, it's refreshing to see a normal golfer doing this, albeit one with pro speed!
Utility irons are normally a bit more forgiving than a 4 iron in a set. Especially “players irons” which is the type of golfer that would use a utility iron as you need an element of speed to use low lofted irons
@@LWG Thanks. I had a bit of a moan on your video last night about Srixon not making a left handed 4 iron in the ZX clubs but this looks like it would be perfect. Would you expect to see a gapping issue between the 4 utility and 'normal' 5 iron given that the utility sounds like it's made for distance as well as forgiveness?
@@LWG Apex Pro have to be in there as well against the ZX7. I'd wager a resonable amount of money that one of those two will feature in a bag of yours during the season. Access to both brands, both have generally had amazing reviews across the board.
Great review lee. I'm thinking of maybe that or cobra ut in a 2 iron. To complement 3 hybrid. I don't play fw so potentially looking at 2 iron with cobra will probably play uit at 16.

Good review Lee. Srixon have some top stuff this year
Excellent review Lee. Those Srixon clubs look awesome. Very strong and still forgiving. Well worth considering for your bag.

It’s an option. I’d say a hybrid on paper would be better but certainly worth a test. At the end of the day it’s about gapping. If it fits in great.
@@LWG Thank you, Lee.

Great review Lee keep it up boss enjoying the channel it’s good to see a mid handicapper doing this very helpful
Thanks 👍
What are the pops you’ve got on the shelf? Good review lee
Tiger, jack and happy Gilmore characters
Good review. How does the ZX and ZU compare in forgiveness and head size?
Great work Lee 👏 Loving the videos and you have inspired me to start my own golfing channel so thank you 👊 Keep it up mate 👍
Go for it! glad ive inspired you to do it yourself

Good review, Lee, I have the 4 in the ZU85, it’s a great club, but the look of the new one is spectacular.

Always worth a fitting to get the best for your game.
Good video Lee thanks. Can see you with a couple of these in the bag to compliment the Srixon ZX5 irons. A good chance? 😊
Maybe a ZX5 and zx7 combo
Nice review lee, thanks... they sound lovely off the club face
Excellent review. I am in the market and after watching this video. We may have a winner.
Compare this utility iron against the new ZX4 long irons please....

14 degree is 1 iron mate. It’s a short range so I go and get them
@@LWG thanks Lee 👌🏻👍🏻💪
I have a faster swing speed but my strikes are too inconsistent to play an iron so I actually use a 4 hybrid
I might have to give those a look. Well done.
Great review and will look at these Srixon make great clubs.
You got to love golf. "I've been fading it lately" balls starts left and stays left😂😂😂
Typical isn’t it 😂
Love your swing
I will be testing those irons for sure
Just need a screen and projector now so you can close the door and wop the heat on 😁

Probably 😂

A tree

Going all SRIXON in your irons then ;-). Wouldn't argue with that. Great products.
