I did Hydra with the Hydra +1 legendary but I used the Fireball enchantment so when the hydra killed a unit it did an aoe. gained more aoe clear and felt smoother
@@mckinneycody1 I mean it gives one extra but it only give one, putting it on a 2H staff doesn't make the 100% weapon aspect bonus goes beyond 1, it only diminishes the malus.
If youre running strictly burning, go with firewall, and run the frost nova and firewall enchantments. Each Hydra has a 30% chance to cast frost nova, and with two thats essentially doubled. Throw around firewalls and just watch everything melt away. I did my capstone dungeon at level 59. Mobs can one shot you if your gear is lacking but it was 100% doable. Farming in World Tier 4 at level 59 is fast with this build.
Can we get a skill tree to look at? You say not to upgrade frost bolt but I can’t get access to the rest of my tree unless I dump another point into it.
I played a very similar build in the Early Access beta. That being said how are you able to keep your mana regeneration up so well? It seems like whenever I was using the sorcerer and similar iterations of this build I was almost always out of mana?
That one dude in yelesna who gives you a random drop from trading him that weird material gave me a serpentine legendary wand. Haven’t seen him mentioned but actually pretty underrated for getting legendaries.
Thanks for the content. I did not know Blizzard stacked! I asumed they acted as one blizzard on top of eachother. I did this build but covered the battle map with Blizzard not thinking it would stack so i did not overlap. My experience with this build or a version of it was great.
At no point during the game did you open your skill tree, and just mentioning basic skills isn't enough to follow a skill path from level one. Even in your wiki, the first line for this build says "Basic Skill: This skill deals moderate damage and slows down enemies. No upgrades are required for this skill." But the immediate next skill is frozen orb, when in reality to get frozen orb, you need two points into the first tree. I understand the game is new and only certain core skills matter so that extra point can be spent on anything, but for new players or for players wishing to follow the exact build, it seems kinda weird to not show your skill tree at any point in the video.
Hey fextra, any idea if they'll find a way for Barb to access their class quests for the open beta? I've heard the Druid class quest is in the same area as the barbs, so I'm worried it won't be accessible
the barb is awesome. Unfortunately there's a bunch of content creators who didn't bother exploring the skills / legendaries / synergies too much and immediately wrote it off because they saw someone who had done that on a different class doing better than them.
I would highly recommend taking both teleport and ice armor, and either dropping blizzard or frozen orb (or drop both of them and pick up chain lightning instead). Frost bolt, chain lightning, hydra, teleport, ice armor and inferno would be my recommendation.
Too many spenders better use 1 spender + a defensive like flame shield or ice armour or even frost nova which all have much more useful utility when fighting bosses, trash can be killed with just hydra alone.
This worked well for Beta but felt limiting for the full release. We made a Fire & Frost build instead. If you want to go full fire, we have a pyromancer build too: fextralife.com/diablo-4-lvl-50-sorcerer-build-guide-pyromancer/ (video coming in a few hours)
I had tons of fun with Sorceress and the hydras. I also enjoyed the combo of frost nova and chain lightning. I totally understand sorcerer was looked at as easy mode but I honestly still found some encounters to be hard as sorcereress. For example the event where you have to stand still in the circle and survive…also found the butcher, Den Mother, Neyrelle’s mom, and a few of the dungeons I would get overwhelmed and couldn’t keep my distance. And those encounters I found challenging minus world boss and butcher I found easier as the rogue and Barbarian because I felt I could maneuver or just tank hits a lot better. That being said I do agree that barbarian felt weak considering the amount of time it took to kill enemies where as with sorcereress I’d mow the same enemy/enemies down quickly.
I played with the flame shield, gear haD THE FLAMESHILED BUFF THAT IMMOBILZED ENEMIES HIT BY THE SHIELD, THEN ANOTHER PIECE OF GEAR THAT DID 35% MORE DAMAGE TO IMMOBILZED EMENIES. SORRY FOR THE CAPS, AT WORK, ALWAYS CAPS. tHAT WITH BLIZZARD, HYDRA AND DEEP FREEZE, ONE SHOT SOOOOO MANY THINGS. i HAD GEAR WITH THE BUBBLE BARRIER AND A SELF BARRIER. I LITERALLY COULD FACE TANK ANYTHING. IT WAS NUTS. LOVED IT
Please do a Druid build before the beta ends. Im struggling with this class. I had a lot of fun making different sorc and rogue builds last week. But I can't seem to find a good build for Druid. Tbh I find the class a little boring to play. Would love some tips. thx.
I've seen alot of people complain D4 doesn't seem that deep but its actually abiut as deep as diablo 2 which wasn't that deep in terms of skills and stat builds that's why D3 felt so shallow. I know it gets compared alot but PoE really isn't anything like D2 in terms of character builds. It's more closely related to guild wars 1 if you really look at it. D2 mostly inspired the tone, gameplay and style
It doesnt, the person who made this guide obviously never actually found the aspect, or most likely never actually played the game. Once you have 2 hydras you don't want to be spamming blizzard or frozen orb either. Youre much better off taking either fireball for fire synergy and the echantment effect or better yet taking chain lightning. Between your double hydra damage and chain lightning mob clear speed you won't need any other abilities.
Wait, Is the only way to get serpentine aspect is from a random NRG drop of a legendary? I've looked in my codex and none of the unlockable skills are called "serpentine aspect". Can you enchant this or you literally have to wait for a drop to get the extra hydra?
I like this build however I don’t really care for the orb skills as much because I feel like they are slow and much harder to land on the enemies you are wanting it to land on.
it is not a Hydra build or only Firesorcerer , FireSorcerer is hard nerfed he need a buff , to many guys want the buff for all fire skills , aktually is only Firesorc unplayable and the lowest class of all other
My wife never played diablo or games but got her to play the beta with me. I told her to go hydra build and shit died without me even needing to do shit. I went from the teacher to the loot hoarder that gimped along

Serpentine aspect on 2H staff doesn't give one extra Hydra, it gives less duration debuff (from - 26-20% to - 13-10%).
It does both. It would be completely useless if it was a weapon that only made your hydra weaker…

They will not be accessible until the full game launch. The beta only consists of the first zone, which means the barb and Druid are out of luck.
Is this build dead after the nerfs?
this was exactly my build last week! thumbs up!

It would have been nice if you actually showed how many points you put where, with level 25 cap we can't fully unlock all the skills mentioned ...
Will this build work with ice armor instead of teleport?
I would highly recommend taking both teleport and ice armor, and either dropping blizzard or frozen orb (or drop both of them and pick up chain lightning instead).
Frost bolt, chain lightning, hydra, teleport, ice armor and inferno would be my recommendation.
