I gotta admit, when I clicked on this, I thought you were probably gonna be out of your mind. But now I cant stop watching your clips. your reviews are pretty sweet man. Keep up the good work!
Kids are obsessed with Ben10! I think its just caught on over here but all the kids at my charges school have Ben10 watches. That Bette Davis collection looks nice. I've just ordered another boxset of hers, think they're bringing a few out to celebrate her 100th birthday. I think you'd like The Watcher in the Woods (its a Disney but scary!, you might have seen it!), Burnt Offerings i've heard is awesome and scary! And The Nanny is fantastic!
The Un-Cut, Director's Cut version of "Murder-Set-Pieces" is unfortunately NOT available in the US. The only way to see this film is in Palumbo's original vision and NOT the Lionsgate version (which is cut by over 23 minutes) This film has been banned in three countries, including England. M-S-P was shot in 2003 on 35mm film for 2.2 million dollars.
I've been looking for a copy of City of Lost Children but I couldnt find one. Aside from the english dubbed version, does it have any interesting special features?
i stumbled over your video and thought to myself 'what is this?! it looks like it sucks!' ..after watching a few minutes i became addicted! wtf?! why are you so addictive dude lmao very well done =]
The murder set pieces dvd u hav is edited and is missing about 10 minutes, I really don't know y but I saw that version one time and so much was cut out, I really want to c the uncut version if anyone knows IF it will come out.
Good stuff man! "There Will Be Blood" is a great moive! I hated the re-make of "Day of the Dead" too, I can't belive they even released it! Keep it up buddy!
Cool as hell, dude. I have about 460 DVDs right now. I've watched every on, TV series and all. I'd like to keep mine medium sized, so I can keep up with watching and because I like to get decent version with plenty of extras (I've watched the commentary all the way through on at least 1/3 of my movies.) Do you have any advice on where to get quality DVDs at a 21 year old student-friendly price? I order online now and then and have been hitting up Blockbusters that are going out of business,
There is 20 minutes missing in the Lionsgate release of Murder Set Pieces, people who want to get that movie stay away from Lionsgate release of the movie, if you really care to see the movie uncut pay the extra for the director's cut online!
wow!!! this is the first result i found when i searched for Dewey Cox, I saw you at the hunt valley movie theater a couple weeks ago when I went to see Observe and Report (great movie btw)
Hey Shawn I hate to ask again,Didn't write it down and can't remember the video that you answer'ed my question in. 1,What site do you use to find all this info about the DVD's 2,Also is this the same site that said HD was Dead. I hope its not a bother to ask again thanks
Good reviews dude, very informative of what's packaged with the DVDs. I didn't even know that Michael J Fox had a collection, but I must get that. Plus I saw a Wicker Man cult classic and was wondering what that was about, now I know.
The uncut version of Murder Set Pieces is insanely awesome!!! Theres too many differences to name. I think its out of print at this point but i saw them trynna sell a used copy on amazon for $99.99. Gets its pretty rare at this point. Anyways awesome update, i love your vids. Peace

Actually that was shot a year ago. Not two sadly. I watched it online and still bought it, but that's only because I enjoy having a complete Romero set-up including the awful remakes.
The uncut version for Murder-set-pieces has more gore and violence and a bit more to one of the sex scenes.. i saw that DVD version of it and the audio seemed very choppy and not good...the uncut version is better than that DVD version if u ask me.
You should pick up the new DVD for Inside.. The French horror flick.. I've been hearing a lot of good things about it. It's out from Dimension Extreme.. Let me know what you think of it..
Hi, really great update! I'd like you to make a video on your favourite classic comedies (since you are a comedy fan). I would like to know what are your views on Marx Brothers, Chaplin, Buster Keaton, those kind of movies. They don't need to be all silent, just classic comedies. I'd really appreciate it, and it would expand your target audience. Keep up the good, great, work! Addcritics (Portugal)
- i didn't really enjoy Dewey cox some ok scenes but it only got a few chuckles from myself. -atonement is really depressing and a fine movie. -city of lost children was nice -short circuit 2 is essential you seem to have a very expansion knowledge and love of films :D
The Secret of My Success from the Michael J. Fox collection is actually quite well known, and I think very good. If you're a fan of 80's comedies, you'll definately like it. Check it out.
I left this out, Murder Set Pieces is so bad that when the main character dreams...he recalls vivid images about certain historical events. Watch and you will see what I am talking about. It's lame to the extreme...I hate it so much, I own a copy. It was a gift barring the hypocrite stigma.
so did u watch mortuary I rented it when it was new when it came out & I liked it I forgot all about I have a couple of copys of it on combo dvd movies Watch it & thought it felt fimiler & I liked it when I started watching but towards the end I ssaid I rember this movie years ago I like this movie cant belive I forgot about it
I picked up the Upright Citizen's Brigade DVD Asssscat!, a copy of Real Genius finally, and Amazon had a buy one get one free on Futurama Seasons 1 and 2.
These things you said were so funny: -"Bi-curious women." -"I have the urge to free my willy." -"Leonardo DeCRAPrio." And the movie, "Cruel World" sounds interesting I'll have to check it out. Take, care.
Secret of my Success and The Hard Way are timeless classics!! Easily, some of J Fox' best! And are you talkin' about?? People put down THE PROM NIGHT?? And what? Give thumbs up to the crappy sequels? Mary Lou shit? Come on! Prom Night is a classic! One of the best slasher ever made! They just don't make like Prom Night anymore.
Gunnar Hansen is the only reason I bought this movie, and I highly suspect that the producer gave Gunnar a cameo role just to sell this BS movie! I'm not saying anyone is wrong, but when you have a pre-teen girl getting raped, then you should know, intuitively, that there's a point you should not cross. This had the potential to be a good, shocking movie. If a few things were added and subtracted in different regions of the film, it would maybe even become interesting.
great dvds coolduder, i hope to buy 'There is be blood' when came to my country. i now watch a diferent dvd set 'Zidane, A 21st Century Portrait' (Zidane, un portrait du 21e siècle), i think is a powerfull documentary and the soundtrack is really amazing. i hope you do a review of this 'feature'. thanks.
Day of the dead had a very strong start... well after the teens making out part. But for the most part I agree, its shit. I am ashamed to say I paid money for it. But I really tried to enjoy it. Even washed all thoughts of the name of the movie from my brain, just so I could enjoy it a little better. But spider zombie really turned me off.
Dude, you know what's really cool? 12,245 people have watched this. I hope they walked away with a lil more knowledge than they walked in with.....Cheers!
Man, I'd only want to see 1 or 2 of these movies. The animalistic girl movie sounds good and City of lost children is great, but the rest are mostly trashy, you need to be a bit more selective and go out for a walk or something. Really, there's a world out there with girls and stuff. Take care.
The Michael J Fox set has 4 awesome films in it. Murder Set Pieces should never have been made. It sucks and is edited up the ass and done not well at all. Gunnar and Edwin just make a fast cameos. I refuse to watch that rubish called Day of the Dead. The original is my fave zombie film. You'll love the 11hr. It is an eye opener.
The thing that made me laugh about this was, half of your movies you said were good were CRAP, and then you called one of the greatest actors CRAP, it deffantly made me laugh
Shawn we need another video in this movie room!
I gotta admit, when I clicked on this, I thought you were probably gonna be out of your mind. But now I cant stop watching your clips. your reviews are pretty sweet man. Keep up the good work!
"'Oh, yeah, Nick Cannon, he's gonna be a big actor!' No."
Shawn, my friend, you are hilarious.
Kids are obsessed with Ben10! I think its just caught on over here but all the kids at my charges school have Ben10 watches.

Your killing me in this one with your impressions lol great update cant wait for the 70s and 80s horror updates

What do you mean by using your HD-DVD player for upconverting? Can you make regular DVDs better quality or something? I don't really understand.
Regardless of what most of you guys say, this guys knows movies pretty damn well
how did you get a 21 minute video on here?
Great update, I look forward to your new horror movie dvd updates.
