I tell you what, I'm a Buckeye fan and I've been one for a couple decades now - I am not here to enjoy your misery, but simply to say I sympathize. I knew the moment Mark Dantonio hired Jim Bollman after Urban Meyer dismissed him from the Tressel / Fickell staff that what you're seeing now out of your team was your destination. Buckeye fans lived through the awful Bollman years for about a decade. Thankfully we had Tressel who was the real OC during that stretch but we had to deal with bad recruiting on the Offensive Line, poor development on the OL, which was quite apparent when we lined up and played teams like Florida, LSU, and USC. But we would steamroll the Big Ten with better players. You guys are now seeing the result of what happens when you hire friends and familiy who really don't have much in the way of coaching or recruiting ability - and like I said before, we had Tressel who was a mediocre OC, but that's better than what you have right now - Dantonio is a defensive coach, so he is likely offloading all of the play-calling and offensive design to his offensive staff - and those folks are utterly incompetent. Best wishes to you guys, hope you are able to get rid of Dantonio if he's not willing to hire better assistant coaches.
As a fan Michigan until I see the psu you game I am not counting my team out due to the fact that Jim every year make changes because everyone complain about the offense. No, both programs are bad right now. Michigan's most decisive win this season is vs Rutgers, and there is no way in hell they are beating Ohio State this year. Same here, after the 2016 season, and no coaching changes were made, especially on the O side of the ball (Dantonio doesn't care about the offense... at all), I started to believe Dantonio had hit his ceiling. When he shuffled the coaching staff, after last season, I was done. I just want this to be over and let this whole coaching staff move on, such as it is, and start from scratch. The college game has changed and Dantonio has refused to change with it. Same with that stick in Ann Arbor. They are just making the State of Michigan college football look inept on a grand scale. Not that either school seems upset with that, from all appearances. It is the design of the universe for things to change... accept for Power 5 schools in Michigan.

Defense is not top notch. Probably the most overrated defense I've ever seen and people still matter of factly call them elite. Shredded back to back weeks by OSU and Wiscy. Had to win a shootout vs Indiana at home. The time of possession vs OSU was almost 50/50 so the predictable "defense is on the field the whole game" is mute.
MSU recruits a lot of Ohio kids who never get a whiff from OSU. That says something. The same is true for other players they recruit from Michigan and other states. To be a top program, you need to recruit top players. (Of course, coaching matters, too...just look at UM who DOES recruit top players).

They're the ones who failed the past 3 seasons getting a good farm of talent so their dated and lethargic offensive can at least be minimally effective and respectable. The coaching is bad but the kids they bring in are bad too, just being honest. This system is dated and with less natural talent on the field it's very ineffective without a solid RB. We didn't get the best results from LJ so don't kid yourself. Defense alone might as well be a another team they are so far off in comparison.

By the way I’m pretty sure the Offense wasn’t a top ten rank when they got to the Playoff, won a Rose Bowl, won Big Ten Championships and beat Michigan 8/12 times and Urban Meyer twice.

There is actually a term for people who say the things that MV is saying in this video...what a lot of so-called MSU fans are also saying in response to this video. They're called fair weather fans. Now, you can be angry about how bad MSU sucks this year. You can even express that anger. You can do those things, and still be a committed fan. But when someone says that they cannot get behind their so-called favorite team, or that they don't want to watch their games anymore...well that is the very definition of fair weather fandom.
I still stand with Mark Dantonio. I agree the last 4 years were not great but the season was pretty frontloaded this year and having the #1 and #2 teams in the BIG didn't help. The year still isn't over, and a 9-10 win season is a possibility, I'm not going to cry over that. He's earned a little more time to right the ship.
