- The Heat defeated the Celtics in Game 7, 103-84. Jimmy Butler recorded 28 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Heat, while Caleb Martin added a Playoff career-high 26 points (11-16 FG) in the victory. Jaylen Brown tallied 19 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Celtics. After closing out this best-of-seven series, 4-3, the Heat will advance to the NBA Finals to face the Denver Nuggets. Game 1 of the 2023 NBA Finals Presented by RUclips TV will take place on Thursday, June 1.

@@luisalberto_travel WTF are YOU talking about? To end up with game 7 in your home court you'd have to be starting the series as home, in which case game 4 is away. So the original poster was saying it's better to lose that way (i.e. Boston losing 4:0, with the last game away) than getting all your fans' hopes up and losing in front of them on game 7.

@@kiksgreebo147 it’s not the problem they lost. For me it’s more the way how. Third quarter around 10 points behind taking quick 3s contested no one under the board. No system running no passing nothing. They played good defense. Miami had a couple of 24 sec violations in the third but the offense was so predictable. And why is Tatum on the court when he is obviously hurt bad? The coach did a bad job aswell. All players on the bench are pros aswell . They play in the NBA and you let a guy play hurt 30 plus minutes ? It was embarassing to watch and I’m not even a heat or a Celtics fan 😅

Miami aren't the first 8th seed to make it to the finals, the Knicks did it in 1999 too. They are however the first play-in team to make the finals (although even without the play-in tournament, they still would've been an 8th seed)
