Kodak, ive not seen you a little while hahaha im glad you are making this camera. Hehehe and also can you make this man an endorser to your future product? He is great and cheerfull reviewer.
Kodak is always innovating. Canon and Nikon are in fact reaping fruits of Kodak's innovation. This company is really awesome. I have Kodak Ektra mobile phone, and trust me, its the best and the most handy and user friendly phone I have ever used.
Really looking foraward to mine coming in the mail. I already have a DSLR, but I was looking for something small and easy to keep on me all the time. I am going on a study abroad to Seoul next semester, so I am really excited about the small print sizes and adhesive so it can easily go into my travel journal!
Thats a great idea! You'll have so much more vivid memories with the addition of pics to your journal! I hope you have a great time in Seoul (try hard not to join the BTS army, lol!)
I think this would be the perfect Mother's Day gift from my mother. She's in her seventies and doesn't really work well with technology. She comes from the generation were a Polaroid camera would instantly print out a picture.
Great review. I was interested in getting this as a pseudo-disposable camera. Where I’d take pictures without paper and “develop” the pictures from the SD card later on. You answered every question I had regarding the behavior of the camera with only an SD card and no paper.
Great review. I really enjoyed your attention to detail. Thank you so much for also going into detail about the photo sheets. Strongly considering purchase because of your review!
Thanks! The printer seems to always want to print, so you should remove the printing paper if you only want to save on the SD card. It's a hassle, but seems to be the only solution.
Hope you like it! It's kinda fun to have around when you're with friends. But let me warn you, everyone wants to take pictures with it so have a good supply of photo paper!
I got the card because I can use it to share pics to any groups I'm on. I can also open it in my computers photo editing and maybe pop the contrast a little. You can NOT go back and reprint though, so it's just a matter of being able to share the pics, and have a dig copy if you give one away. I bought mine for journaling, not as my main camera.
Hi, your video was really nice and useful too watch, thank you! But i was wondering for how long you can keep the zink paper? Cause I dont know of I should buy 20 pièces or 50 pièces of paper
Thank you very much! About the shelf life, it's a good question. I haven't noticed any expiration date, so I can't say for sure. But I can tell you that Zink technology prints colors using heat pulses, so I reckon as long as it's sealed in the wrapper and kept away from intense heat/light, it should be fine.
As a mobile rotary I occasionally need to take photos of ID cards. I don’t like doing them on my phone and this will allow me to take a picture without the SD card to let the client know I am not saving their information. I only just need a copy of their ID at the clients request.
Hi great vid👍 do you recommend this for beginners? I’ve never bought a camera before but I have used my moms. Also is this semi cheap or should look for other printing cameras?
It's basically good fun to use, but that's about it. If you want to do anything more serious with high quality, better just to use an advanced smartphone camera or buy a point and shoot or DSLR. But for most people, those pictures end up getting buried somewhere with nobody to share them with. Let's see... there are several printing cameras similar in price by Poloroid and Fuji.
For your first question, when you take a picture, it both prints and saves on the SD card at the same time. To your second question, unfortunately you can't print straight from the SD card.
Afraid not. Only prints what you shoot immediately. They now have small printers that do this, but isn't a camera. Kind of takes the fun out of it, if you ask me.
I have bought two used of these but they don’t seem to shoot the photos in frame. It’s as if it shoots the photo to the right of what I’m seeing in the view finder
I got mine from eBay , everything seems to be the same except mine doesn’t indicator lights on the back of the camera , there is one on top and two on bottom by the charging slot

Automatic printing when you take a single picture? Or there's a button you should press to print? And how about if you just like to store and capture photos, just insert memory card and remove the photo paper?

I've compared the pictures with my old polaroids and there's no comparison possible: old polaroids were already very limited in size and quality, but the pics from Printomatic are like toy camera pictures when put side by side with polaroid ones.
This is a simple point and shoot with an instant print - there is no built-in editing functions. If you want to edit, you need to copy your photos from the micro SD card to a computer and use a program like Irfanview or Photoscape (both are free.)
I just bought this camera, when I asked Wich paper do I have to use they gave me a pack and said that that's the one, I proceeded to pay both my camera and paper and when I got home to try it I realized the paper they sold me was NOT for this camera, but for the other one that you can choose which photo to print and for the photo printer, so I got really sad, I wish I had found this video sooner and not after just to check how I was "supposed" to fit the wrong paper on the camera, I hope tomorrow they will let me return the paper... Or at least Change it for the right one...
FirstL00k they understood and they let me return the item, but only for another product or giving me the money on a gift certificate only for that same store, they didn't have the one's I needed so I went to another location of the same store to finally buy the paper!

I guess it depends on who you're buying it from? Some places charge shipping, some don't.
It doesn't have that classic instant pic style prints or is their some settings like that?
The technology is different, so they print differently. There's no setting to make it "print" like the original.

Automatic printing when you take a single picture? Or there's a button you should press to print?

yes to both questions - automatic print once you press the button, and if you just want to save a pic on the sd card, you should remove the paper.

Quick question. If u have the sd card in and u print out a picture, will it also save to the sd card ?
With an SD card inserted, it'll both print and save a copy on the card when you take a picture.
So if there was no film in there at the time you took those pics of your fingers how do you go back to print them
This is from 3 years ago but do i need to buy my own SD card or will it come with one in the box?
You need to bring your own ssd.
How much mega pixel it is ?
can i load the sheets and choose which photos to print or will it print automatically?
It prints immediately after you take a picture.
Does this have flash?? how about night/low light photography??
This is just for fun and making memories. Anything more serious and it's better just to use a phone or a dslr. It does have a simple flash.
If you have pre existing photos on a SD card can you print em?
Nope. Not from sd cards.

can I put photos from my phone into the SD card and print them?
That doesn't work, only prints pictures you take with the camera.
Great job!
thanks!
Can you print from the SD card?
Nope. Only pics taken on it are printed.
Can you still print pictures if the SD card is filled with pictures from other devices like a phone or computer?
Good question! It's a very simple model, it's not able to print pictures from other devices.
Are you able to take the photo to be enhanced
If you have a microsd card in there, it saves a jpg so you can edit it on a computer if you want.
Can you plug in your phone and print pictures from your phone ?
Nope. It's a point-and-shoot basically.
If there’s paper in the camera, but i wanted it to go onto the SD card. How do I only make it go onto the SD card?
If there's paper in the camera, it will make a print. The only way (I think) is to take out the paper.
Is there a way to turn on flash?
Can you use the kodak zink photo paper on a instax mini 9
Not sure, but the kind of paper/technology might be different.
Is it true that you can use other brands paper as long as they are Zink 2x3”?
We don't know the answer to that, but it's a good question.
From a business perspective, they probably make a lot more money from selling paper than the actual camera, so I have a feeling they won't want to say anything.
