At least I think that's what I remember it saying. But it definitely did state his age.
Also I believe Elesa and Clay, the Nimbasa City and Driftveil City Gym Leaders have had their ages roughly estimated in the Scarlet and Violet DLC by Lacey, their Daughter, who is around 12 or so. Meaning that roughly 12 years have passed since the events of Black 2 and White 2 and roughly 14 years since the original Black and White Games. This would put Hilbert and Hilda somewhere around 25-28 years old now, slightly older then me irl since I'm 24 and was 11 when I first played Pokemon Black.
What doesn't make sense is how from the events of ORAS to the Alola Games, Wally appears to have only age maybe two years maximum. This contridicts evidence we have of the events of Red/Blue/Yellow and Fire Red and Leaf Green happening simultaneously with the events of Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. As Wally should be only slightly younger then Red and Blue at around 25. And yet Wally doesn't look like a teenager yet.
Was there another Ultra Wormhole Faller incident like before with Looker? We may never know.

I think it was subtly confirmed that Calem and Serena are both at least seventeen. Emma is confirmed to be about sixteen, and she says in the games that her Espurr doesn’t like “older people” when it doesn’t trust you. Thought that was pretty cool

I think Florian/Juliana are at least 15 and around whatever age Carmine is supposed to be (probably slightly younger), because she speaks like they're both older than Kieran. Could be just that she considers Kieran particularly immature, but I think she treats Florian/Juliana as too much of an equal. Given her personality she would go around calling them kid or something until she warms up if they were too apart in age.
Arven and Nemona are implied to be older than the protagonist, so they're at the very least 15 or 16, but I doubt they're any older than 19. Personally, I think Arven's 17-18 and Nemona is 16-17
Arven is stated to be an upperclassman, so probably 16-18

Also, the rule that a person can’t become a trainer until they’re 10 is anime-only, as there are trainers younger than that in the games, including the Paldea Elite Four member Poppy who is confirmed to be 9 years old.
The reverse is also true; the rule of trainers in Alola not being able to start their Island Challenge until they’re 11 is only a thing in the games, because in the anime Ash does the Island Challenge even though he’s (somehow) still 10 years old.
Ash is older, he just doesn't physically age. If you observe the anime you can see seasons changing and other varies things that show that years are passing

@treeman73272 Matpat (The Game Theorists) made a video about that where he counted all the seasons that have passed in the Pokémon anime series concluded that Ash must have been TWENTYFIVE years old at the end of his journey if I recall correctly.
Ash is stated to be 10 years old at the beginning of every Pokémon season since Best Wishes (gen 5), unless the dub changed that.
in the french version of the game, kieran is said by carmine to be 14 (which makes crispin 14 as well, as they’re classmates of the same age.)
I know even the names of the protagonists from Pokémon ranger, Pokémon xd, and Pokémon Colosseum...but I don't know who Kieran, Carmine, and Crispin are.

Running theory is that, I suppose they made b2w2 before they thought about bw, and thus designed the older ones for a game they didn't appear in... though that is incredibly illogical, and that it was stated more times that they are designed to be 16 before AND after the interview.
Also side note, is it really problematic to have a headcanon that you believe over Canon? I lost an argument on another video with someone, they said its a bad idea to ignore canon/have headcanons and that I should just make an oc... which would be a headcanon/au as well would it not? Its a bit frustrating, especially considering the same people are ok with way worse...

It makes more sense for trainers to be in their teens before going on their Pokemon journey. You'll have an education, and a grasp of the world. I figured the gen 5 trainers were 16.
I always headcanon that 10 is the earliest age a kid can legally register a Pokemon. So any toddlers you see with a Pokemon are just borrowing a relative's or something.

However, remember that Pokemon is a world where the culture more or less was met with Japanese standards with respect for authority. Most of the world's criminals aren't so respectful, and we got issues like kids getting abducted by human traffickers to sell into prostitution.
And a Pokemon game with the West as a foundation, you'd see kids as young as Bonnie getting abducted into "service" to creepy ugly bastards who have no hair, giving kids the "Goosh-goosh". And the parents would support us in killing these sick perverts.
Honestly, a Pokemon game where the villain team is a bunch of blue-haired pedophiles that can't remember their biological gender would be a fitting antagonist gang for the next game in the series.
Trainers leaving the house as young as 16 is a more sensible thing, as legally in Japan, you can get married at age 16 (As far as I've heard).
If I were making a Pokemon game, you'd see a LOT MORE customization for trainers. Like, you start your journey as a small child, or you age up to being a feeble senior citizen, you could make yourself as fat, skinny, or muscular as you like, and even pick muscle definition too. Height, weight, gender (Male and Female are the only options) , so you could make yourself look like you're starting your Pokemon adventure as early as your childhood, or as late as your golden years, even to be an adult starting their own journey.
I would also include a Pokemon salon where you can recolor your Pokemon, and even put little clothing items on them like a jacket, a bandanna, sunglasses, a baseball cap, or a tophat.
its sad that the BW protag actually had a decently responsible parent who probably waited until they were ready instead of shipping them off at the first opportunity, and yet she's the one who never gets to see her child again. It's to the point she mistakes your BW2 character as her kid. She's still there, waiting for you to come home.

And in the manga, the fact that N traumatized the protagonists is more evident. For example, he convinced the female protagonist's pokemon to stay with him while she tried to escape. In the end she fell off the Ferris wheel, seeing how her pokemon decided to stay with him and getting badly injured from the incident. N left, left her lying around, and to top it all off with her pokemon.

My interpretation is that everyone can own pokemon and be considered as a trainer tecnically, but they arent oficialy alowed to be in their own jorney fighting gym and stuff until their 10s. And also they aparently they aren't alowed to capture pokemon, just recieve, since in the X and y anime, it's stated that Clemont HAD to capture deddene for bonnie since she could do that in her age. (Correct me if im wrong with something.)
Case in point: max and Bonnie in the anime.
Both of them has been seen taking care of the elder's pokemon and even battling with them.
So my best guess, is the pokemon that kids younger than 10 that you battle are actually their parents' pokemon.
Just so they feel safe when they are outside, or someone to play with.

The 10 year old rule was only in the anime. The games never stated that, hence why there's Preschoolers, Twins, Poke Kids, School Kids, etc, all younger than 10 years old. Hell, Max from the anime was literally based on one of the School Kids from RSE, who was a full trainer, despite his anime counterpart stating that he can't be a trainer yet.

Yes they would all have to be in that age range since that's the age range for being a trial captain.
That's because the minimal age to do the Island Challenge, and Mallow confirms that when they reach the 20 years old they have to retire from being captains.
So that's basically the ages they can be captains. I believe Acerola being the youngest, Kiawe and Mina being the oldest, and Mallow and Ilima like late teens.

Being completely honest, i would prefer starting my journey later as well. I was scared of Dogs regardless of size when I was a kid, that without mentioning going all alone besides Pokémons that i captured and all the survival required, it needs some courage and the only thing i know for real it's that i surely was the stupid-kind.
