Unlimited Yapp Works, someday I will be the next Kal'tsit. Now talking seriously, I'm pretty sure S-4 is Cleareable using Ines, not sure of the CM, and I couldn't even play S-5 so I don't know if it was easier or harder. Bro fell off
So after clearing EX-8, I was chilling thinking that S-3 CM wouldn't be that big of a problem, as I mentioned before, the stage can be beaten by the niche's 5 Stars, but oh boy, I was wrong. This stage took me the last 2 days of the event to beat, changing and adding more steps to the strategy over and over again, having to bring Magallan in the squad for the first time on the event and even then I couldn't think of way to clear it, I almost gave up because my brain refused to work until the last 3 hours, where I stopped my tunnel vision and finally cleared it. This Stage is horrible, the reason why I had to bring the 6 Stars here, you guys have already probably guessed, is the CM condition, where the Cellist don't get the average +20% buff to their stats but a whooping +44% Buff to the HP, making them extremely tanky and unable to be defeated with 5 Stars due their lack of DPS. Yes, what gave the most trouble was the Phase 1 part of the stage. In the normal mode, Cantabile was also the laneholder, and she tanked easily through the whole stage, but obviously the CM wasn't going to be easy on her and she received a lot more damage, even being defeated in some of my tries, so I had to get really creative in order to mantain her alive through Phase 1. Beginning the Stage, Cantabile uses every bullet and Kroos is deployed, we technically already have the lanehold checked, but we have to consider that Cantabile is 1 block and Kross has a RNG talent, which is essential that it procs or enemies will leak, the start of the stage being the case more noticeable. So the Device is retreated as soon as we get the DP of the last bullet, and we use it's deployment time as a timer, April is deployed when it reaches 0.0s, and the device when April is getting up (the animation), but it doesn't have to be too early, this is done for one specific reason. When the device it's deployed again, Kroos will charge her skill and we activate it alongside the Node to change the variation, if these steps are done correctly, we have succesfully controlled the way our operators attack with the device, this being one of the many times we HAVE to do this. Controlling Kroos's attacks means that, when the first two enemies enter her range, she will attack them instead of the Tuning Node. We have to damage and defeat them ASAP, and for that her Crits are extremely important, I honestly don't know what is the minimum she has to crit here, but in this run it was 6 times. There were a lot of runs where I just lost in 1 minute due to the insane RNG that is needed, wasting sanity like a madman. At the same time, April is deployed to begin damaging the Cellist ASAP, then Firewatch is next and with her help, we survive the first rush. Cantabile skill is back, and the Device is deployed again when the two enemies are in the tile row below Firewatch, somewhere when they're reaching the middle, so when the device shoots, the damage is not wasted. If we don't damage them like this, Cantabile receives too much damage, if that happens, the stage fails as we need the DP for other operators. There's another reason the Device is deployed, Kroos Skill has to be charged at all times, by deploying the device, we make sure she doesn't damage those enemies that much and she can have her skill ready while also avoiding charging the Tuning Node as much as we can. After April is retreated, Lunacub is deployed and the variation changed so she can almost kill the two casters in her range, pretty simple stuff. We proc the Boss 1st TP and Manticore is deployed alongside Ines to help defeating the Cellist, Manticore is really good due to her AOE. By having Kroos skill active when the next enemies aproach to her range, we can safely lanehold it with Kross and Cantabile "alone". After killing them, the other ones spawn, but here Kroos skill finished. In this part, in the NM, I changed the variation to defeat them and baited my operators attacks with the device, but in the CM this is not viable, as we need to defeat the Cellist ASAP and giving them invincibility for 20 attacks is the opposite to killing them soon, so the strat that I found was maintaining the Passionate variation on and defeating those two enemies with the device... yeah I know, I'm a genious. Maintaining the Passionate variation allows me to deploy April safely again, killing the enemies and also charging Kroos skill, which we activate again once it's charged. After Kroos skill is activated, Magallan is deployed, Lunacub attacks for the last time and is replaced with a Maggy Summon, this is also to avoid changing the variation, you know why. A Summon is deployed in the caster side and her skills is activated, while Kroos charges AGAIN (xdding), April is replaced for another Drone so we can deal more damage and the variaton is changed in the last second so we get the buffs. Once her skill ends she's retreated for later. Manticore is not retreated until they get the shields as she has the +60% ATK Buff, which allows her to do the incredible amount of 300+ damage... Like I said, we need all the Damage in the world for these guys or else the runs fails. We avoid Firewatch killing herself with the device, and when the boss TP's to the left side we burst him, procing his "last" two TP's of Phase 1. Now here comes a funny part, after every cellist is defeated, Firewatch is left alone attacking the Boss. While it may seem that we just do damage like crazy when there's the opportunity, I Actually had to control how much damage I did to the Boss, because like in EX-8, we have to finish his Phase 1 at a very specific timing or his Phase 2 becomes impossible, so if in a run I did too much damage to him, Phase 2 would start earlier than it should, or if I did almost no damage after the last proc, Lunacub couldn't kill him "alone" when it was the time and that would also send the strat over the window. We need the variations buff for Phase 2, so we have to go to Phase 2 before the Variations can no longer be activated, like in EX-8. For that reason, we can't retreat Kroos to dodge the last TP of Phase 1, so Stealthknights has to unfortunately bait the Boss TP, big L frfr. When the Device is on the top side, the boss has to be defeated a little before it's duration reaches halfway. Lunacub Defeats him and she's replaced again for a Maggy Drone and because there's only 8 ranged tiles in this stage, with Magallan's help we reduce the TP RNG for Scene, making it a 50/50 to be teleported to the left side. Here I committed an error, as I deployed the Drone of the left on the wrong tile, and the Scene is TP'd right next to Kroos, killing her in the process. Phase 2 is really simple, we have to proc every TP before we can deploy Heavyrain to tank, and we do this by delaying the most left Cellist with a Scene summon and Cantabile, once he reaches there we can't damage the Boss. Without his TP, the Boss is no longer a menace and he's defeated soon after. In Phase 2 I lost a lot of times, reason why I wanted to give up, as there's no other StealthKnights operator that can contribute to the clear, Kafka or Robin don't really do something in Phase 2 so they were useless when I needed them... Until something clicked in my head. On my previous attempts, I was using Heavyrain to delay the cellist, and when it was enough, I retreated her, which was the worst mistake I could make, because once everyones Camo/invis finished, there was no one to bait the Boss attacks, so they just died before killing him and that's why I wanted to burst him in one cycle, something that is currently impossible for the niche. Once I understood this and when I reached again Phase 2 (God dammit Kroos), the run went smooth as butter.
Yeah, aside from her S2, Texalter is not that good on this event due to the enemies High RES, so I can see how it can still be hard. She's still broken tho. PD: Just to be clear, I also use meta team if the stage is completely impossible with the niche, so it's not like I'm mocking you or smth haha. For example, I cleared DoS A-3 with meta, the stage of all times. Didn't even try S-3.
I used Gladia to take care of the right side (Because the enemies that appears only have weight 3 max) and used Mlynar to take care the left side Edit: but ngl, this team composition is unique. I would have never imagine someone using Magallan for this stage.
Well, this is the niche's entire team basically. Only Robin and Kafka were missing, and they don't do something useful outside of making holding the lane a lot easier, without rng bs, so Magallan was the only option left that I had, as her damage is what I needed.
