There's a lot of thing I have to say for this video so I may reach the word limit here, who knows. Let's begin with the Thumbnail, The thumbnail makes sense once you watch the video, it says it's impossible due to the calculations I made for the dmg, the thing about Iana, it's in the explanation of the clear itself a bit below theses paragraphs. The calculations for the dmg took me a while, longer than I would like, mostly because I had to do the whole thing two times because like I said, I'm dum dum with the numbers. In my first attempt, I reached the 2nd Phase and noticed that there was too much dmg on there, I didn't make sense since the boss was still on Phase 1, so I searched for the cause of the miscalculation annnnd, the dmg of Cantabile was entirely wrong, I had to go back to the beginning to calculate everything again. After checking that everything had the correct value, I proceed to calculate Phase 1 again, but this time instead of dealing to much dmg, it somehow ended up going in the opposite and this time it showed that the dmg was too low, so low that when the Boss enters Phase 2 in the video, it still has 1.672% HP left for the Phase transition... You had to see my reaction to this situation. I re-calculated every dmg value, went frame-by-frame, hipothized about missing frames due to rendering and then checked again the HP of the boss, none of that worked, the Math was right, so there was nothing I could do about it. I gave up on trying to make sense of why the Boss didn't enter Phase 2 exactly at 60% HP like the wiki says; I also counted 83 seconds, so it wasn't possible that it run out of time and then changed to Phase 2. That was the first thing impossible to understand about the clear. The second thing impossible to understand abous this clear is, that after all the trouble I went to check that the math was correct and going frame-by-frame after calculating once again, is that at the end of the day, the math ended up working anyways regardless of that 'additional' amount of HP, I just don't know how, that's the reason why I put it as the thumbnail. Now that we got the scary math out of the way, it's time to explain the clear itself, and why Iana achieved the record. 3 months ago (damn) on my first try of the stage, I took the entire 5 Star gang along me since I remember that a lot of veteran players and nicheknight players were saying that this stage was hell, an horrible experience and probably one of the hardest stages of that time, so I was prepared to suffer even with every 5 Star. After easily steamrolling the stage and a couple of tries, I did a 6 OP clear of it with April and Kroos. The Strategy for that clear was a bit similar, April forced Phase 2 of the boss before it exploded so I deployed Scene and Robin when I could and Cantabile+Manticore took care of the Phase 2 just like here, some differences were that I had to deploy two bombs after the first explosion in Phase 2, otherwise they would get destroyed before the invencibility of the boss ran out, and the other one was that I had to deploy April+Kroos in P3 so they could barely defend the right side, it was nearly impossible due to RNG, it truly was an nightmarish experience. After getting the 6 op, I knew I could do better and I knew that Iana was the key for an 5 op clear, so I started grinding. I had to forget about deploying Scene-Robin early since Iana couldn't 1 cycle the Boss, so I delayed them after the 1st explosion. In this part, Iana can't apply her Fragility Talent, if she does even one time, the boss ends up going to P2 earlier than expected and we can't allow that since she's needed for P3, that's why her skill is activated instead of letting the boss do it itself, for this reason, in the 2nd skill activation Iana can only attack 3 times. For P2, I found out that I had to hold Cantabiles and Manticores skills in P1 before activating them once P2 began, without this step, the boss explodes two times on P2 and that's game over, since the strat for P3 is to utilize Ianas Talent to 'One-Shot' the boss with the bombs. Since I had to hold the skill, I also found that going to P2 just like in the video was a reliable strat most of the time. On P2, every Scene summon and Robin traps placements are important, without them it's impossible to go through this phase. Scene Summons are deployed in a way so she can 'spawncamp' most enemies and defend from the slugs, and Robin traps are used to poke, defeat an enemy and avoid leaks. Cantabile Skill is activated in a way so she can hit the majority of her bullets on the boss, that's why Manticore skill is timed to defeat the slugs the moment they spawn almost frame perfect, following with the bomb once the next wave spawns. After the tile is free, a Scene Summon in deployed there to protect Cantabile from the -80 ASPD Debuff. P3 Starts and the Boss is instantly deleted thanks to Ianas 30% Fragility, which ends up buffing the True Damage the bombs deal from 4k to 5.2k, but that wasn't her only job, Remember when I said that I had to use April+Kroos to defend the right side on P3? Well, since the boss already died there isn't much pressure on the lane, but due to her uptime and ASPD, her job in this clear is one only she can fullfill. With Cantabile helping her, they both defend easily the right side until Scene Redeployment time finishes. Now you may be wondering... Is this really the first record she got in the niche? My answer is yes, don't ask about Operation LucentArrowhead... I could also say that the record we got in CCB Underdown was thanks to her, so that's probably her second record. Also, almost forgot, I didn't try this stage with Magallan so I don't really know if she was capable of lowering the OP record, but the answer for that is probably yes, so there's that, maybe in the future they rerun the stages again :clueless:
Calculating every hit dealt to the boss and having to edit it in the video is wild. But it's pretty cool to see so it was well worth the effort and it honestly made the video more entertaining. It's the first time I've seen someone do this too, so that makes it even cooler. You did this with no 6 stars using this small niche and even with this many operators, there were a bunch of close calls. Nicely done! 💛✨️ Also, timestamp commentary is funny. Now. . Where is Iana and Robins skin!? 🔫
I purchased Robin skin in the chapter 14 iirc, and I'm not using Iana skin since every clear out there with her has it, so I will use her default skin for now. Also, I wanted to track EoE's Hp to show how close it was to the explosion but uhhh, yeah
