I like this design so much. It is very suitable for commercial shooting. It can give my clients a sense of security while retaining the freestyle feel . gooood job! take my money!
This totally makes sense. If you don't want it to fly like a cinewhoop, get rid of the prop guards. This model qualifies in that regard. It flew amazing!
Wasn't expecting that. Some good weight loss while maintaining some protection. I can see a desire for this. 👍 Those prop guards on your build look similar to the Eachine Aurora 100 guards I used on my Happymodel Mantis85. Flew like a brick, didn't keep them long. Didn't help that the Mantis85, while fun wasn't the most nimble of flyers. Happy flying everyone. 😎
FYI, as I mentioned in the video, the install of the naked O3 air unit is really tricky. As long as your expectations are in line with what I mentioned in the video, you should have fun with it. Please don't go bando bashing with it. You'll be sorely disappointed.
Even with minimal prop guards, you can still see that characteristic cinewhoop wobble. It's barely noticeable but 1.6g is still not zero grams. This does look like an all around good flyer for almost any situation except for high winds. Nice job Flywoo!
I know you said the custom build can't be bought anywhere but can you still make a video about it? I'm really curious to see more about how it was built. This new model from Flywoo is just following the trend of the times. Since the tank wars are over now, it's now a race to make the lightest quads possible. Just strip everything off the quad and it's a new model. I'm sure they're already making the 75mm version for release next month, right?
Very neat cinewhoop design, it does look pretty fragile, but its probably great for some indoor footage ( Cine-flying ). Definity not a basher or a 1st quad. Great review and explanation of the quad.
Yup, that is it. Not sure when you'll see more of that since the Radxa VRX build is not going well at all. I've tried the last 4 firmware releases and all I get is black screen video. I might have a defective Radxa board so I'm gonna buy another one.
@@AlbertKimTV hold on , do you get the grey box at the top right corner ? , I think the telegram can help you step by step but I can provide some level of troubleshooting help
I'd suggest sticking to v1.7 for now , if you have followed all the steps correctly you should see a black screen with a greyed out box in the top right corner , from here if set correctly you should see the bottom most value being -128 FO something like this , this means that the channel your runcam is on is different to the channel your radxa is on , go into the openIPC configurator , type IP address of the radxa and the EMAX (plug EMAX into your WiFi router (I find this the easiest way ) ) now go to WFB tab and make sure the channels are the same for both EMAX and radxa (you shouldn't need to do the whole drone key thing because v1.7 had a generic key that should just work with all units out the box (atleast it did for me with the runcam) ) now reboot and you should see an image hopefully.
Nice ! I remember seeing that "cinewoop" a few years ago, I made something very similar but with the vtx underneath, I used the hx115 frame (3 inch and 4s)
I could see myself swearing a lot trying to assemble this lol I don't you should really freestyle this quad, at least not with the naked 03 unit. Flies great as a lightweight cinewhoop though!
It's so light the crashes I did have didn't break anything but this is not for band bashing. It probably won't do so well flying into concrete over and over.
Interesting. I guess the design would work well for the scenarios you mentioned. You stumped me one what old drone the other guards are from, but ya, apparently 'ahead of their time'. Cheers Albert!
Albert with this tpu prop guard have you tested flying into people or even some polystyrene to test how effective it actually is. I’d have thought the tpu would bend in and ultimately result in a prop strike
Did you see the part of the video where I crashed into myself? Spoiler, nothing happened. However, I would expect over many many crashes, the chance of a prop strike will be higher. This is just basic physics. This is why I don't recommend you fly this around people with the expectation the prop guards will protect people from prop strikes. The prop guards are there to protect the drone from stationary objects and when you fly slow it can prevent a crash from a prop strike.
figured it out, the Flywoo Explorer 550 batteries you're using are wayyy lighter than the Tattu 550s Im using, ordered the Flywoo 550s to get under the 100g
This is probably for a niche pilot who still wants some minimal protection. For indoor flights I can see the usefulness in those cases where you might bump into something at slow speed and those middle sections will bend allowing the props to not strike something. It falls into the scenario of "better than nothing at all".
I'm confused, when you order is like 159 dollars? what you buying? Comes with motors frame? because I see another menu that said aditional part and the motors are there? What are you really buying?
The kit version just comes with frame, motors, and flight controller. You add your own FPV system. That's why that one is only $129. Where do you see $159?

This model has more agility and speed than I expected. It flies like a much larger micro. This is definitely on my list of next micros to buy.
The best flying cinewhoop ever. Nothing even comes close. Great video!
Take my money! Ordered this after watching your video. It looks like an amazing flyer!
I like the design so much I just decided to build one. It's nice to offering the frame kits already.
Nice.

If I only saw the flight footage, I might have thought he was flying a 3 inch toothpick.
I like that pusher design!
I bought one of those based on your review. I've yet to assemble it, but based on your review. I suspect it will be good. Thanks for the intro.

This design shows me there is still area to innovate - I love companies trying new things!
Super pro review. Thanks!
Much appreciated!

@@AlbertKimTV no I don't remember it's been too long
some rando FlexRC frame with pico guards! (lora? acent?)
Curious flytimes 85 vs pico 20 with the 2.2" props bigger motor but it's alot heavier
if they used real wire for the outside it would strengthen the whole quad and be hard to break.

Didn't look like the drone and prop guards were from the same model. Looks like something he custom built.
@vanlifefpv6340 ya, he said he custom built it, stole the guards from an old drone.
Pretty interesting design indeed, Albert! 😃
Fascinating flying and review!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

how are you getting under 100g with the 550 battery? I'm weighing mine and I'm getting 72g without battery (just like it says on the Flywoo page)...
Mine weighs 69g without lipo and with the Flywoo 550mah 2S it's 95.44g... see photo for proof.... imgur.com/a/ybF6at6

I want it 😊
Was it the diatone rabbit?
Nope
Can this carry a cam ?
Something light like a RunCam Thumb should be OK. But the O3 would still be better.
In concept it’s great but I think it offers so little protection, would be better just going props off. Cool design though!

Albert I use avatar system, is good for avatar system? and what airunit for avatar will fit?
Flywoo's Walksnail version uses the Walksnail Avatar HD Mini 1s Kit
They make a Walksnail version. I don't have it but I'm sure it flies the same.

What does it change when you add them brackets
Brackets? You mean the metal prop guard?
