I like Ashkar's badass boasts through Adam. "This guy sounds a little too badass, Samus. You'll never be as cool as him." But what I love is how he can back up his claims. He really does have the power. He has so much power that he cannot be beaten by vanilla Samus, he can survive getting Metroid Sap'd by her, and it's implied that he can control his X form like Quiet Robe did. It took a mutant Hyper Beam to kill him for good.
I kinda hoping they give Samus one of those chozo staff/spear things in the next game after reading the zero mission prequel manga I found out it's another popular weapon used by the chozo aside from their arm cannons
the cutscenes with the train and the ball going into the clouds...the wind and visuals kind of remind me of the warframe mission loading screen with the lander...god i should go play warframe
The only thing I think is bad about the video is you skipped Raven Beak's transformation, could see it come up with the skip button. Other than that thanks for all the cutscene videos for us that cannot currently play some of these amazing games!
Next Metroid game needs to go back to being on a planet without all this high tech equipment going crazy on her. I love this game and I would call it the best so far but super Metroid was just so ahead of it’s time but I like exploring caverns and caves and different areas that are on planets not space stations or artificially made environments. If they remade super Metroid like this I think it would be incredible. Can’t wait for the next game I just hope I’m still around for it to enjoy it with how many years gap it was between fusion and dread but this game was a huge hit so I doubt they will take the same time gap this was. Let’s hope.
I can find videos of almost every Metroid game where its all the cutscenes, similar to this, EXCEPT for Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. I think thats very criminal as the game has amazing cutscenes.
Can someone explain why the X possessed Quiet Robe help Samus in the end ? Should it is in its best interest to destroy Metroid which is it natural enemy ?
I think there was still a part of quiet robe left in him when the x took over. So the x just brought him back to life in a way? Idk thats my personal headcannon but it still doesnt make sense cuz the x ahould have complete control
I wonder if the X are more misunderstood than we think. They are said to absorb the host's entire personality, so what if the host was benevolent, the resulting composite will be benevolent too? The majority of X clones we have seen (like Neo-Ridley) have been aggressive beings to begin with.
True however when the x took over samus and made the SA-X. It was still aggressive and attempted to attack samus and destroy the space station despite samus originally not having those traits
it technically is 3d, thats why. the environments all seem 3d, that is why with the boss fights where they go into in-engine cutscenes and angles, it's so fluid because all they do is pivot the camera. absolutely beautiful.
Forgive the pun but... Holy... I actually felt Dread when Samus went Metroid on Raven Beak. and I know that X is a parasite bio-weapon, but why did it use itself to help Samus at the end? It doesn't make sense...
My take-away is that either that particular X inherited Quiet Robe's memories (which is established that the X can do), or Quite Robe (being from the only Chozo tribe known to be able to control Metroids and fight the X Parasites, the Thoha) has some kind of back-up plan in case of him ever getting infected. If it's the former, it could make sense for the X-Parasite to try to remove/weaken any and all Metroid(/Metroid abilities) in power at any time (which also happened in Fusion; when several SA-X ignored Samus, to deal with a Metroid threat); so even if healing Samus was the result, maybe getting rid of the Metroid presence was more vital for it's species' survival, from it's standpoint. It's also unclear exactly what it did to Samus; but presumable it added more Thoha (Chozo) DNA, from Quiet Robe, in order to outbalance the Metroid DNA within her.
@@SwedenTheHedgehog personally, my theory is that in some way the X saw its survival in Samus, literally. If we remember, at the end of Fusion, Samus absorbed a defeated SA-X core and regained her Ice Beam function: a function that is technically incompatible with her Metroid DNA, and a beam that is completely absent in this game, presumably for the same reason. It could be that a strong enough X parasite can sorta counteract the Metroid DNA, especially one that has taken Thoha DNA. After all, it's not too terribly uncommon in nature for a prey to have killed its predator. In this instance, not only does Samus have Chozo DNA and Metroid DNA within her, she now has a potent X-parasite that is somehow keeping the Metroid DNA in check. At that point, the planet was blowing up, the X had 2 options, die with Samus, or take a risk by assimilating with Samus
@@PsiChaos2701 I don't think X parasite is not that smart , they driven by theirs instinct to infect more , i think the X using Thora ability to suppress Metroid , so it is still fit with theirs desire to destroy Metroid , except not in the way they truly want to .
@@kampfer91 I mean, the X were smart enough to attempt freezing the entire planet in a bid to stop Samus. That act kinda highlights that the X are quite capable of creating intelligent plans when they have intelligent enough hosts. After all, it was likely the best plan to stop Samus, given repeated defeats in direct combat. On top of that, Quiet Robe was probably one of the most intelligent beings the X could have possibly took over. If Quiet Robe-X (QR-X) solely wanted to purge the Metroids, why not just let Samus perish in the planet's destruction along with all the X? We know previously the X were willing to even sacrifice themselves if it meant killing a Metroid. Why then, would QR-X enable Samus, who is technically a Metroid, to leave the planet and live? I think, with Quiet Robe's unique intelligence, QR-X may have been able to do achieve something no other X managed: Sentience. But alas, we may not get an official answer for god knows how long. That said, the primary focus of my theory is more to explain the seeming ability of a uniquely powerful X somehow suppressing Samus' Metroid DNA, an event we see happening twice now. One when the SA-X core granted Ice Beam to Samus, something that was utterly incompatible with her Metroid DNA, and now with QR-X undoing Samus' Metroid transformation Clearly, there's more to the X that we the players aren't exactly privy to, since we really only experience the world through Samus.
Pretty good game but I thought the ending was kind of abrupt ( I know it's a classic Planet gets blown up but the Escape at the last second but if you got a little on the abrupt side as we what happens next)
Yes. This is "Metroid 5". Fusion was Metroid 4, which you can see it be called in the opening cutscene gor that game, same with Super Metroid being called Metroid 3 in its opening cutscene.
Could've cut some time by shaving some of the boss fights, and you could've shown the clip of what the upgrades were and the first time you use them. Other that that, banging video.
Judging from how SA-X allowed itself to be absorbed to help destroy the omega metroid, back in Metroid Fusion, it seems that the X parasites prioritize killing metroids over the survival of individual members of their own kind. That X parasite seemed to have some way of eliminating the metroid power in Samus, so it sacrificed itself to "get rid of the metroid". The fact that Samus survived the process was probably not a concern for it.
I like the core plot of the story, but I really don't like how they went about presenting it. It felt like someone took a Tolkien thicc book, and condensed it to a childrens book that was read out loud to us.
They completely missed out on a great story for the next game. They should have left Samus in Metroid form and she'd have to spend the next game trying to reclaim her "humanity." She's literally a Human/Chozo/Metroid/X hybrid now.
sorry to be honest ,but they should let metroid saga die after metroid prime 3. honestly i saw all the movie and the game seems shitty and more a product than a beloved game from a long saga. since iwata passed ,nintendo dont know how to make real games anymore and its another company who make "products" without any soul. @@pauljordan0203 Isn't it because quiet robe is a Thoha tribe, who can control Metroid? By absorbing that X parasite, she gain full control of the Metroid power? It doesn't mean that she lost the power, but can turn it on and off at will and nobody are gonna suspect a thing.
Damn Gamora finally Killed big bird daddy Thanos
Neat. They gave Samus roughly the same voice as when she grunts from heavy damage in the Metroid Prime series.
The Samus we expected to see in Other M.
before the first encounter i wondered, wouldn't it be interesting if samus actually encountered a chozo. ten minutes in, SURPRISE!!!
The only thing they fear is you.... and for good reason.
Rip and Tear my brotha lol
Am super excited about it and are you going to put more metroid prime games please thank you
That was fast. Thanks for the upload!

My heart: it's Time to STOP
She was extra no nonsense in this one 😂
I hope to all heavens that this changes the status quo going forward. Samus as a full Metroid is something we need to see in the future.
I think metroid could make a great anime.
I hope they never do a live action Zelda game.. and Mario is getting a film soon too.
But a metroid-anime would be great
I would love something Metroid on the screen TV.
Now while that would be cool, I think a Smash Bros. anime in a similar vein to Subspace Emissary would be radder.
It took a mutant Hyper Beam to kill him for good.
video title: "all cutscenes"
video: skips raven break cutscenes
I kinda hoping they give Samus one of those chozo staff/spear things in the next game after reading the zero mission prequel manga I found out it's another popular weapon used by the chozo aside from their arm cannons
Dehaka would be proud. Samus became primal zerg.
1:15:45 Of course!!!!! It wouldn't be a Metroid game without one damn it!!!
--- Me (getting to the stage for the first time. )
Prime hunters exists
the cutscenes with the train and the ball going into the clouds...the wind and visuals kind of remind me of the warframe mission loading screen with the lander...god i should go play warframe
36:21 the torvus underwater theme
The only thing I think is bad about the video is you skipped Raven Beak's transformation, could see it come up with the skip button. Other than that thanks for all the cutscene videos for us that cannot currently play some of these amazing games!
samus is basicaly mega man and doomguy combined
Next Metroid game needs to go back to being on a planet without all this high tech equipment going crazy on her. I love this game and I would call it the best so far but super Metroid was just so ahead of it’s time but I like exploring caverns and caves and different areas that are on planets not space stations or artificially made environments. If they remade super Metroid like this I think it would be incredible. Can’t wait for the next game I just hope I’m still around for it to enjoy it with how many years gap it was between fusion and dread but this game was a huge hit so I doubt they will take the same time gap this was. Let’s hope.
You make the best game movies. Thanks for this.
Or quiet robe took back control after being possessed cuz of some weird chozo magic plot armor
@@shyfry7734 At the end it did sacrifice itself to give samus her final power ups back to defeat the omega(?) Metroid though.
Never let Samus to Earth.... she always destroying planets....she is more dangerous than bearus
Damn its looks 2d and 3D at same time mind fuck
it technically is 3d, thats why. the environments all seem 3d, that is why with the boss fights where they go into in-engine cutscenes and angles, it's so fluid because all they do is pivot the camera. absolutely beautiful.
HOLY SHIT HAS A FEELING OF MASTER CHIEF, BADASS
So you feel the need to show us the same boss animation 8 times but edit out the phase transitions??
seriously. video is twice as long as it needed to be. game is like 7 hours long total
Okay so what is samus now? Human with chozo DNA, metroid DNA, and X DNA?
Two different chozo DNA I think
I don't think X DNA, since her Metroid DNA consumes it. Not sure tbh.
This and hitman 3 are my picks for game of the year
you should work for ign
@@xaby996 why so?
God samus is so fuckin cool
One when the SA-X core granted Ice Beam to Samus, something that was utterly incompatible with her Metroid DNA, and now with QR-X undoing Samus' Metroid transformation
Clearly, there's more to the X that we the players aren't exactly privy to, since we really only experience the world through Samus.
I don't remember the X being bio weapons. I thought they were a natural creatures on SR-388.
i think the x sacrificed it slf to eliminate the metroid in samus in an attempt to like invade her ship or smt
i need backup
Awesome 🤩
Pretty good game but I thought the ending was kind of abrupt ( I know it's a classic Planet gets blown up but the Escape at the last second but if you got a little on the abrupt side as we what happens next)
Wait this takes place after metroid fusion
Yes. This is "Metroid 5". Fusion was Metroid 4, which you can see it be called in the opening cutscene gor that game, same with Super Metroid being called Metroid 3 in its opening cutscene.
Thanks

Feel like a remake but it is not. I guess they did a great job imitating the feel of previous Metroid games

It's not the point of this scene
She’s always had Chozo DNA donors.
Could've cut some time by shaving some of the boss fights, and you could've shown the clip of what the upgrades were and the first time you use them. Other that that, banging video.
The ending made no sense. Why would the x help her?
That’s a story for another day if possible
Same as where the X helped her in fusion. A form of self preservation by being absorbed.
@@da8874 the sax only helped because it knew the metroid would kill them both

I like the core plot of the story, but I really don't like how they went about presenting it. It felt like someone took a Tolkien thicc book, and condensed it to a childrens book that was read out loud to us.
I really hope this game is good cause sents the fail of metroid other m I thought metroid is dead

They completely missed out on a great story for the next game. They should have left Samus in Metroid form and she'd have to spend the next game trying to reclaim her "humanity." She's literally a Human/Chozo/Metroid/X hybrid now.
interesting
Why is she silent? Nintendo doesn’t like speakable protagonists huh?
Who's she gonna talk to? Adam is one way and she does talk to Quiet Robe. She's just quiet.
