Sir do Major depressive disorder,OCD and episodes of psychosis are included in disability? The doctors to whom we referred denied us on the basis that these illnesses don't come under this. Please clarify if possible
They do come under disability. Just because one is suffering from these illness doesn’t entitle to disability certificate Disability is based on various factors such as response to treatment, impairment from illness, duration of illness, impact on social functioning, dysfunction at work and able to do day-to-day activities
@@SureshBadaMath Thanks for the reply sir. Sir all the above factors you mentioned were getting fulfilled. My son is ill for the past 14 years with continuous treatment. His life has been seriously hampered because of these mental illnesses. Not able to get a job, zero socialising,irritable mood, disturbed sleep and unemployment as well. Except taking bath and eating food by himself, almost all his daily work involves support from us. We even mentioned this to the doctors but they denied saying that this is not sufficient. Can we get reevaluation for the same from another government hospital? And is iq also checked for this? It would be extremely helpful if you can clarify again on this.🙏
