I use the two differently. I mostly use Mendeley to manage pdf sources and also for citation management in Word. I use Jabref for managing my bibtex files for referencing in LaTeX.
@@fenska7313 I think your version is higher than mine even though I'm using the latest version in Windows 10. I'm sure it's probably been renamed to something else. Is there something like "preferences" or similar?
@@JamesAzam first of all thanks for great video. But it is not working with overleaf. i followed the shown procedure e.g. created a bibtex file from mendeley and uploaded it to overleaf folder. but when i add a new paper in mendeley it update the bibtex file too that is saved locally in computer. but this bibtex file is not sync with overleaf BibTeX file. overleaf read the earlier uploaded file. how i can solve this? thanks

Another great video. Kudos!
Thanks, Twinnie.
Does it work if I don't have the citation key for the document?
If you would like to support my work, please buy me a coffee using this link www.buymeacoffee.com/jamesmazam.
I'm using Mendeley Reference Manager and theres no Tools > Options :(
Insightful, thanks!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Helpful, thanks a lot.
You're welcome!
I use MS-Windows 10
James, do you prefer Mendeley over JabRef? Why or why not, please?
I use the two differently. I mostly use Mendeley to manage pdf sources and also for citation management in Word. I use Jabref for managing my bibtex files for referencing in LaTeX.
I cant see the "options" under Tools. Downloaded Mendeley today.
That is very strange. I checked for updates and I'm using the latest version and can see the "options". I'm not sure what is wrong.
Insightful
Thanks, bro.
Thanks 🤟
It's a pleasure.
there is no "option" in my mendeley
Do you not find it under "Tools"? What operating system and Mendeley version are you using?
@@JamesAzam no. Windows 11, mendeley 2.68... Previous one is windows 10 with updated mendeley, still there is no "option"

@@JamesAzam nope. Can't find it🤕
@@fenska7313 That's unfortunate. I can't really help beyond this point since I do not have WIndows 11.
How to do this with Overeaf????
In overleaf also the process is the same, just create .bib file in your current folder.
You create a bibtex file and upload it to your overleaf folder.
