Jayne has full cheeks so I think some volume above her ears is very flattering, adding some balance to her face. And it draws more attention to her beautiful eyes. Plus a bit of length somewhere on her head gives a very pretty ruffling effect when she speeds across the ice.
I don't like what they did to Chris. The greasy look isn't good on anybody. Just give his hair a lot of light blonde streaking and a bit of mousse for volume.
