Scott just shines on this one. He’s said it was fear of judgment that kept him from releasing a solo song for a long time because he was so comfortable being surrounded by his friends in Pentatonix. After you've checked out the choir version of this, I recommend "Thank You." Performed by Pentatonix as a whole, but written by Scott and his fiance Mark, near the end of the pandemic lockdown, about how much easier that time was because they were together. IMO an even better love song than "Mars."
This came out last fall for Scott's birthday. Other posts have mentioned the choir version. But Scott also performed a version of "Mars" on Kelly Clarkson's show earlier this year, just him singing and accompanying himself on piano, and with revised lyrics.
