Agree and if they know they aren’t going to paint the door jambs then at least order the cab and chassis in black, it would look much better with black door jambs.
Love this model. Way to go Chevrolet. I come from a Chevrolet family so that works haha. What I wonder is, does the dining table convert to another sleeping bed?
Sure you can overland with that! As long as the land you're going over is mostly flat, firm, and with few trees or boulders. Oh and it runs on diesel so you're looking at nearly $500 to fill the tank. The Ford 550, without all of this additional weight added, had an average MPG of just less than 6.
@@breakneck777 In case you didn't notice, this vehicle is a Ford F550, with a lot of additional weight...I mean luxuries...added on to it so you're able "overland".
The SX is built on a Chevy 6500 HD chassis.... Not a Ford ShitMissile. Also, if you are concerned about your fuel economy and fill-up cost then you shouldn't be buying this rig.
Yup, this. The only thing this thing can do that a regular RV can't do (or at least not often) is well maintained dirt roads. And even then, the tires are so hard to support that weight that it must rattle your teeth on washboard.

How long does a load of laundry take in the optional W/D unit? Is it really loud? Is the floor heated? How long does the battery bank last on a full charge? Some details like this would be good to know. Thanks!
I doubt the floors are heated as this is still primarily an extreme off road vehicle built for accessing the most remote places on earth, despite the builder’s emphasis on luxury. The trailer being a carbon fiber monocoque (hence the insane price) is more about lightness and performance than comfort. I’d say it’s the nicest thing you can get if you’re going to often inhospitable places usually only visited by extreme outdoor adventurers and National Geographic explorers. If you need heated floors you honestly don’t need a vehicle like this.
Based on the model shown, it's about 90 minutes. A full load is like 5 shirts, 2 pants, and various misc. You'd be better off just using the washer, and dry on the outside if possible. The floor is heated, though not standard. It comes with 1600 solar watts, and the batteries are 18 Kw hour, with inverters up to 7000 watts. How long it'll last depends on what you're doing. But without any solar power, at 18kw, you'd reasonably expect 2 full days of moderate usage before battery drainage. With snow/cloudly overhead, I suspect you'd last a week before the combo ran out. With good to great weather, the math says you'd have to have all the equipment turned on in the truck, for 200ish minutes (over 3 hours) to drain the batteries. (That's washing machine on, taking a hot shower, running ac full tilt with the windows open, fridge and freezer doors open, charging multiple laptops, cooking, both tvs on, charging an e-bike, electric blankets, etc. So, completely wasteful.) If you want details, look at other reviewers or go to the website. Jay Leno had a pretty deep convo about this truck on his channel about 6 months ago.
