@@Howdoyoudaw for example in Pro Tools you can open a software instrument track then assign multiple midi tracks to that one instrument track. that triggers different channels. Now you have the option to mute individual sounds per midi track. Also opens up many possibilities In this kind of setup you don't have to instantiate,for example, ten instances of the same software instrument track. Great thing with this is that you can select the midi track to do a bounce per track real time or live.
Wish there was a way to send multiple midi tracks to one instrument and have it all play in-sync. So far not in time
