I have cancelled a Private Pickup file using the HP Smart app but it does not clear and is permanently stuck in cancelling mode. There's also a Status: Out of Paper warning message but the paper tray in my printer is full of A4 sheets, and removing/replacing the paper makes no difference. On the main HP Smart app screen it is indicating 1 Private Pickup in place of the estimated ink levels which I cannot remove because the Private Pickup file is stuck in cancelling mode. I've performed a full factory reset of the printer and uninstalled/reinstalled the HP Smart app but whenever I complete the printer setup procedure, log back into my account and activate HP+ services the HP Private Pickup print still shows in cancelling mode. I need help and method(s) in clearing the Private Pickup file which is stuck in cancelling mode from my printer's memory.

Having similar problems here with "Print Anywhere" on my new HP MFP4301FDW Laserjet printer. (Although I am capable of canceling out the print job). 1) The HP Smart app (for Android) keeps setting up a private pickup even though I have that option turned off. 2) I can never do the private pickup anyway because the app always has an exclamation icon on the file and the detected printer icon indicating that my printer is out of paper even though it has plenty of A4 paper loaded in tray #2.

@HPSupport ; Ok thanks, will give that a try. .... Everything appears to work fine when accessing the printer though the mobile Android app while on the local home network. But when away from home outside the local network, I can't get "Print Anywhere" feature or even the older "ePrint" service to work on my new (1 and 1/2 month old) MFP4301FDW. App settings and "paired" online HP account show the printer as setup correctly and ready to print remotely. But whenever I try the two issues I described earlier always happen.

It’s awful that we can’t use our existing hp smart account. I get errors when I try to accept friends invites and then try to login with my existing account. It only works if you create a new account.

Users should be made aware that the Print Anywhere support documentation is vague and misleading. The invite message you'll receive is misleading in that it just says you just create a new account and add the printer, then you have access to the Smart app 's "Awesome" features. This is not the case. You invite anyone.... but they must have physical access to the printer to setup on their account. There is no mention of this in any supports I've come across. It should clearly be stated the shared printer can only be configured locally to a "guest" account first. Unless you live with the people you intend to invite and share with - you'll need another solution!!

HP smart app sucks. There is no option for printing both sides and the printer always gets disconnected after a minute or two. The print quality is the same despite having different print quality options in the app.I thought getting a printer with wifi printing option would help me print files directly from my phone. But, i was wrong. I have to open my laptop, transfer files from my phone to my laptop or download the files again on my laptop and then print it. Thanks for wasting my time.

I haven't bothered trying to install it on my PC or Android as I still need to get it to work correctly on my two Apple devices I mentioned. For my Imac the operating system is IOS Sonoma 14.5

The invite message you'll receive is misleading in that it just says you just create a new account and add the printer, then you have access to the Smart app 's "Awesome" features. This is not the case. You invite anyone.... but they must have physical access to the printer to setup on their account. There is no mention of this in any supports I've come across. It should clearly be stated the shared printer can only be configured locally to a "guest" account first. Unless you live with the people you intend to invite and share with - you'll need another solution!!

Yes print anywhere is available and now it is working very good
HP smart app sucks. There is no option for printing both sides and the printer always gets disconnected after a minute or two. The print quality is the same despite having different print quality options in the app.I thought getting a printer with wifi printing option would help me print files directly from my phone. But, i was wrong. I have to open my laptop, transfer files from my phone to my laptop or download the files again on my laptop and then print it. Thanks for wasting my time.

Sign in to your account if prompted, and then click Manage HP Account. Under your Account Dashboard, click Solutions, and then click Print Anywhere. Enable or disable Print Anywhere or the Private Pickup feature. Allow printing from anywhere: Turn Print Anywhere on or off.

- May I know the model number of your printer?
- May I know to which device you have connected your printer? (For ex: Desktop, notebook, iPhone, iPad, android phone etc?)
- If connected to computer, may I know the operating system installed on it?

I haven't bothered trying to install it on my PC or Android as I still need to get it to work correctly on my two Apple devices I mentioned. For my Imac the operating system is IOS Sonoma 14.5
