If that coaster is, somehow, going in and out of the mountain by the basketball game (is that going?) and Thunder Run's (now) old exit... I'm having a lot of trouble envisioning how is going to fly out of the top of the mountain. Not only that. If they DO need all of the space that's currently taken up by that walkway coming down from Mountain Refresh... are they just going to close up the walkway completely, or will this coaster somehow go around/over/not even interfere with it? Also have to go find this visit now.
maybe it will be a mack launched coaster like copper head strike....lauches, will fit in those tunnels and can exceed 170ft if needed....just a thought
the new tunnel being aligned with the old maintenance tunnel, and both perpendicular to what you're calling the station/brake run tunnel makes me think there is a switchtrack from the station into the launch and that there will be a spike at either end of that, be it the old tunnel or tiny tom's, because I can't see a train coming in to the station aligned with the middle of the launch track.

Honestly, with the way they're making neat walls for the tunnel by Vortex, and how it lines up relative to the existing coaster and track, it seems more likely that it will eventually become the queue (and possibly exit?) for this ride. If the hole by the Thunder Run exit lines up with the maintenance tunnel, that tells me they're more likely to both be for the ride's track.
Hoping Wonderland will fix that dormant waterfall in between Thunder Run’s tunnels now that this area of the park is getting some love. I also remember it being uplit with floodlights from below - looked great at night! Anyone remember the last year that waterfall was in operation?
There are 3 tunnels. One is for the ride queue entrance (under vortex lift). One is for the break run (old maintenance tunnel). And the new one in Alpen will be the blast launch portion into a top hat and make its way around the mountain into the existing tunnel they just reinforced. It will be a zamperla or vekoma. This is my final prediction. If this is right it will be the longest coaster in the park!
Personally, I think the tunnel between the Sprite basketball shoot and Vortex's lift hill (West side) is in fact the Entrance/Exit queue.....like guardian, there will be an extensive switchback queue line WITHIN the mountain, out of sight. Whereas the north and south tunnel cutouts will be the exit and return holes for the track. I cannot see the westward hole being a track tunnel, the station will have a long straight station, 1 train loading, 1 train on track, and 1 holding at the in station brake run (like Leviathan's and Backlot).....not coming in and making an immediate, almost 90 degree turn. She did say the SkyFlyer land is for future attractions... I'm assuming it'll be ride/entertainment related. I'm also very confused with the placement of the other tunnel in reguards to where the station will be and the direction of the coaster is going. I still don't think it'll go into the kids area, but I could see it going over by Wild Beast.
The park teased to me a few more removals. So it has my eying some of those kids rides in that direction. Time will tell shortly as this major project evolves :)

@@AmusementInsiders I know they repainted it a few years ago, but The Bat seems like it would be an obvious choice to remove given low capacity and being on prime land with that new tunnel being discovered. I just hope they don't get rid of Shockwave (perhaps a better theme though with that and The Fly)

I would also like to point out that the 2 new holes in the mountain do not align and are also too close together to house a station and a launch. I’m telling you the second hole under vortex lift is the queue entrance. The maintenance tunnel and this new hole in Alpen align and are farther apart from each other. I believe I am correct.
DJI lists all restricted airspace. This hospital does not have a helipad. I can assure you the airspace around the park is not restricted in any manner
