So exciting for you. I'm so glad you will enjoy the deck. Mary Oliver is my favorite poet. I think you'd like her. She's an incredible poet -- American. Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winner. Her poems are very contemplative and often nature-based. Did I tell you I read "Silent Companions"? I really enjoyed it.
@@aspasiarising4732 oh that’s so interesting I will have to check Mary Oliver out. I absolutely love this deck and I am so pleased you read and enjoyed The Silent Companions, a definite favourite book of mine now 🥰💖
I have this deck too, I saw Simon's walk through of it and fell in love. I hear you about the cost of shipping, it's out of control!! I was able to get a wee discount so that made up for the shipping cost. I had exactly the same thought process with the Ritual Tarot as you, I like it but sort of not sure. It is a super expensive deck too. However, I am so glad I did get this deck, I love it!!! Hope you enjoy yours too Sandra. Happy New Year btw
@@theimportanceoftemperance oh fab glad you have this deck too, it’s amazing. It’s funny isn’t it about the Ritual Tarot that you felt exactly the same as me 🥰 Happy New Year to you too 💕
@@SpiritofAvalon 😭😭 No discount 😭😭. Still, not as big a hit as 120 quid! 🙂 I'm just waiting for the Starlore Arcana, due in the next couple of days. Don't know if you have it, but it might tie in with that Celtic starlore book you have. Although it seems to be based on the Greek myths.
@@SpiritofAvalonSo, what you're saying Sandra is there's still hope? Hope that I might be able to save £7.50??? That means a lot to a Scotsman. Thanks 👍😉🙂 Hope the cats are doing well 😺😺😺
Love The Scarab & Dahlia Tarot, the creator is amazing, super sweet and helpful, love this decks simplicity, collage decks usually have a bad habit of being overtly busy, throwing everything including the kitchen sink at an image, but this deck is superbly done, I absolutely love The Emperor, Death, Temperance, Knight Of Swords cards, the only one I don't like is The Devil card I just don't get it, this is the only card that's a bit guilty of losing the message, losing the dynamism in the clutter, its usually always a stand-out card too, but otherwise its pure perfection!
@@adambluefire I agree! It’s an amazing deck for sure and I am so pleased to have it. I understand what you mean about The Devil card, seems a lot more busy than the other cards but I still love it 😊
Hi Adam! I’ve got an alternate Devil card going into the deck when I’m able to get a second edition done. Maybe next year? It’s less busy. I think you’ll like it. 🥰
That's an amazing deck! I like how it seems dark in colour but not in energy. I was half-expecting something like the Alchemical Visions deck. But no 🙂. Good swap, and the one Simon got was great too! I've only bought one Tarot from the US, that was the Rider-Marseille, and thought the shipping was actually quite reasonable to be honest. Delivery was quick and tracked. Artisan Tarot seem like an ethical bunch of people. Would definitely buy from them again.
@@DavidWilson-hd6iz it is a really beautiful deck and I am so happy to have and to have been able to trade for it. The shipping on top of the price of decks is just becoming more difficult to buy decks from overseas 🥰
@SpiritofAvalon Yeah, I think I might have uttered an expletive when I heard 120 quid 😊. I definitely thought it 😂. Can't remember how much I paid in total for the Rider-Marseille. Think it was about 60, which is about my upper limit. I understand that artists should be rewarded for their work, and that some decks really are worth more than others, plus manufacturing, etc. But above 60 and they're kind pricing themselves out of the market, at least for the average buyer, especially those overseas that have shipping on top.
Hi. I’m the creator of the deck. I am pretty sure we’re going to have it available in the UK very soon. The international shipping costs are so ridiculous!
Ooooh I love the images, Im not going to say Im jealous, just a bit green around the gills! 🤣Lucky lucky girl...but you do have such a gorgeous collection of decks, especially indie, so im delighted you now have this. Such a beautiful deck; I have this one on my wishlist. I found a Mary Oliver poem-- "In Blackwater Woods"-- in my much-loved cousin's things after she died, and it is so beautiful and so full of truth, it was like a last gift from her. I think you would like it. Look, the trees are turning their own bodies into pillars of light, are giving off the rich fragrance of cinnamon and fulfillment, the long tapers of cattails are bursting and floating away over the blue shoulders of the ponds, and every pond, no matter what its name is, is nameless now. Every year everything I have ever learned in my lifetime leads back to this: the fires and the black river of loss whose other side is salvation, whose meaning none of us will ever know. To live in this world you must be able to do three things: to love what is mortal; to hold it against your bones knowing your own life depends on it; and, when the time comes to let it go, to let it go.
