Neither Jeff nor Tim Buckley were 27, when they died. Jeff was 30 and Tim was 28.
When Radiohead saw Jeff in concert in 1994, he was actually touring with his band, then, rather than playing solo.
Since you mentioned Muse: Matt Bellamy actually bought the Telecaster that Jeff used in this performance (which was Jeff’s main guitar) and has used it on his latest music.
With respect to Robert Plant, he said that Jeff was a “much greater singer” than him. Jimmy Page said that Jeff was the “greatest singer to appear in two decades (between the ‘70s and ‘90s). Brad Pitt also said this about Jeff: “He Plant and Page in one, on a technical level; it’s mind-blowing.”
Eddie Vedder on Jeff: “Man, I had this guy with me once, and we were sittin’ down and talkin’ and jammin’. He played his version of Indifference, for me. Man, I tell ya, I’ll never forget the way he did it. I was just Fu$#@% speechless. One of the most memorable moments of my life. I just wish I had seen him more.”

@@galaxyjams I’d recommend doing one of these next
Jeff Buckley - Grace (BBC Late Show)
Jeff Buckley - Dream Brother (Live in Chicago)
Jeff Buckley - The Way Young Lovers Do (Live at Sin-e)
I’m not being hyperbolic when I say that’s the latter is the most impressive live, solo performance, of any song, ever recorded. It is phenomenal. It demonstrates Jeff’s guitar and vocal wizardry better than any other performance of his. It has all of his vocal acrobatics and tricks packed into one song. You will be truly astonished.

What about what I think is an hommage to James Joyce's Ulysses (Jeff was incredibly well read) ... In ending the song on "Yes" which coincidentally is the last word in Ulysses ... 📚

His live performances are insane!! I love the studio versions of his songs, but he was a powerhouse in the live setting. His name most definitely needs to be up there with Plant, Cornell, Mercury, Maynard James Keenan and other rock gods.

Reverb does not do a lot in live settings particularly that huge of a setting. It has it’s own natural reverb.
