@@SeanBeavers1 I did! Def! I needed it because I cant figure out what bad habits I've developed in the past year & 1/2. I'm developing alot of pain in my thumb & wrists. Then when I try to fix it it fills so awkward that I end up going back to the way I was doing, the wrong way, b4 i even know it. It would be great if you could do a video about developed bad habits. (Like with position & technique with the left & right hands!) You r a great teacher & that would be a good one to see. Thanks again!
MRS. HOLLERBRED KENNELS -JANA Thanks for your comment! I have done a lot of videos about left-hand technique and right-hand technique. Wow this really helps! 5 minutes ago my palm was really hurting when I practice bars. I realize after watching that I am pushing my thumb and index finger too hard. Now I can play a 4 chord progression without pausing. Thanks a bunch!
Sir I have carpal tunnel on both hands, and now I cannot play very well. This information is very helpful Sir. All my life I was pressing too hard on the string whoch contributed to carpal tunnel. Thank you so much it is very useful.🙏❤️❤️❤️
I’m sorry that you have carpal tunnel syndrome! I hope that you have sought medical advice about recovering from that. I am glad this video was useful in helping you not press too hard on the strings of the guitar.
my left thumb hurt after just 10 mins practice. i think i pressure to hard. i have to dont press with my thumb but support the other fingers just like you said
If I push too hard my index finger knuckle hurts slightly. I've been really trying to practice not pushing so hard. Especially i feel it when I do a lot of power chord slides

Ressam It is good that you are recognizing the issue. Awareness is the first step toward not pressing with your left thumb.
당신의 영상들은 항상 많은 도움이 됩니다. 감사합니다.

phantumgrey Good for you for working on using minimum necessary pressure.
Awesome way to start the video. That made me laugh. 😂
I'm glad it made you laugh! 😃
I have been playing for years and I know I'm pressing way too hard especially when I am nervous. How can I stop doing that?
Have you tried gradually adding pressure to each finger in turn to develop sensitivity to how much pressure is needed?
My fingers hurt I hope this helps thanks!
Do just your fingers hurt or your wrist and arm as well?
Wow.. i was really pressing WAAAY to hard. I found i can literally just press it down lightly and it sounds the same.. hmm
That can be such a helpful realization!
So useful and basic but instructors aren’t teaching this.
I’m glad you found it useful! I know some instructors watch this channel, so hopefully these concepts will be more widely taught in future.
*looks at warped neck of stratocaster*
Looks like I pressed way too hard.
Divine Presence That might be too hard. 😂
frets are/were hurting on all guitars I ever owned :-( always thought the steel was too soft/cheap kind. lol (mostly electric)
Me love the topic of left hand pressure woohoo
david berman I’m glad you like the topic.
So sorry, but i keep on imagining a egg when i am trying to focus on this video.
Akshay Monish Understandable.
