I've got one of these cams.
I wish I could get a picture on demand.
As they are, they take pictures when triggered OR once a day at a preset time.
It's a shame because they would make great cameras for maintenance monitoring of properties and utilities.
I.e. checking that a furnace is running, checking a basement for a leak/presence of water.

Good point about being able to “tune in” to the camera. That would be a good feature to have. Like a live feed. For some of those purposes you mentioned there are components to smart home systems that do that. Water sensors that can link to an automatic actuator you can add to the valve on your water main to turn water off. I’m looking into one because of a problem with a neighbor. He ripped down one of my no trespassing signs attached to my mailbox post. Stemmed from other issues with that family he probably did that because there’s an encroachment issue between our properties. Technically my mailbox is on his property. I want to catch him in the act when I put a new sign up. And also getting the original sign fingerprinted since he did leave it on the ground.

I bought my first camera in 2016. My camera was stolen. And spypoint would not help me locate the camera. Even though they had exact gps location. I then bought two more cameras in 2018. I didn’t set them up until 2022. And realized the issue. Both arrived with bad barcodes and did not work. Spypoint then wanted proof of purchase from two years ago. And would not replace or fix the issue. Wasted money. They are not a US company. They are a European company that does not care.

      @@christophermichael9199 that sucks.
      I don't use them anymore.
I have an old school Browning cam that I have to swap SD cards with manually in the field.
      The Spypoints just suck.
Bad user interface, spotty connectivity, poor image quality, and having to wait for the wake up time to adjust settings was lame.

I’ve got six. Only two still work. Going to try the Tactacam Reveal next. The app isn’t bad though. Easy to use.

I have both, I really like the tactacam camera and pic quality are way better. The only winning point for spypoint is the free 100 pics which is useful for low impact/early season tracking.

I have 4 if these cameras. I had a few problems at first but i made a few phone calls and got everything straight. I've had mine 2 or 3 years, i have 2 cellphones with the spypoint app but for some reason the tracfone receives pictures and alerts from my email address faster than my tmobile cell phone.
Im just here to ask is anyone uses rechargeable batteries in their's.

How do you make it send pictures instantly? Mine is always a couple hours after the timestamp?
Also: in full sun my battery has never went under 100%
