    Fun fact, there was also a PS1 version of "The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea", and actually followed the plot of the movie. Basically its an "Echo The Dolphin" clone.

    9:15 The reason they did this was that the Master System was discontinued in the US in 1992 due to low sales, while Europe was like an alternate reality where the NES had failed and the Master System was the far more popular system there (though I think microcomputers were more popular than consoles in Europe during the 80's), so it lasted much longer, meaning that any games made after 1991 (when Sonic 1 8-bit, the last Master System game released in North America, was released) would not be able to be released in North America without forst being ported to the Game Gear.
    EDIT: Apparently, this game wasn't even released in America at all.

    In the Timon and Pumbaa frogger clone the objective (at least on the pc version) is to go to the bottom right part of the screen, ring the bell, then a unique item will be brought in on the playfield, and you have to pick THAT up before going all the way to the top.....then you have to go back down again to ring the bell
    Loved that game.

    I LOVED Magical Racing Tour, though I played the PC version growing up. It was very difficult but I got good at it and 100%ed it. Also the story is that Chip & Dale broke the fireworks machine and have to race around the park to collect all the scattered parts to fix it before the fireworks show that night, for some reason.

    • @cannibalisticrequiem
      @cannibalisticrequiem 5 лет назад

      Disney Parks ard known for ending the day with a fireworks show, so that's probably why. It doesn't mean the park is closing, but you'd be surprised just how many people filter out of the park when the fireworks show is over.

    I absolutely loved slingshooter (the timon and pumbaa's jungle games one) when I was a kid. Weird, but funny at the time.

    My personal favorite old Disney game is Donald Duck Quack Attack on the PC, which is a pretty solid Crash Bandicoot type game... but there's also some sort of pseudo-remake on PS2 and Gamecube which just plays really weird, for example instead of powerups granting invincibility you instead have to jump on at least three enemies in a row before stopping in midair to input a button combination; this action is called a "special move" and you can unlock a new one in most stages, but as for why you would use a special move other than the one you that's the easiest to remember is beyond me since they all do the same thing.

    I had Toy Story Racer. It was solid on it’s own right that I enjoyed myself. Travelers Tales were the company to make Toy Story games. I also had Timon and Pumbaa SNES game. Which was an odd one. I thought it would be an action game. It’s not even better then the mini games on The Lion King games. But that came true when we had The Lion King 1/2 on GBA. The Donald Duck games on Game Gear seem like decent potential. I played a fair share of Disney games growing up. They were my jam. :)

    The PC version of Timon and Pumbaa is really what you should play. It was made to be a computer game, and has terrific graphics and gameplay. I can't speak for the SNES version, but it is really just a port of that. This was during the 90s CD-Rom boom, which is really why that game exists (in that it wasn't made for the SNES specifically).
    Also, the PC version of Disney World Racing is good too. I don't recall it being overly hard. Again, can't speak for the console version. But I would guess it's a similar situation.

    Gilly, I appreciate that you do honest reviews of these obscure games, flash games, and other bootlegs and hacks, and you're naturally funny without being gimmicky or pandering. I get laughs out of your videos from your genuine reactions, in part because the games are comically bad, but it's clear that you care about the games and actually providing information, while still making an entertaining video that doesn't stretch to make ridiculous gags for views.

    Also, the disappointing Disneyland Kinet for the Xbox 360. I wanted to get it when the Kinect was still a thing-- because I love Disneyland so much, but when I finally looked up gameplay videos, it was just so boring. Incredibly simplistic collect-a-thons on beloved Disney rides, which would often follow the plot of the movies the rides were based on.

    BRUH I had Magical Racing Tour on pc but every time we tried to play it, it nearly bricked the system and if it did ever run, they frames would be non-existent. Same with the Robots game. We got these for free I think in a newspaper or magazine from the UK
