Double tap to open the door is for safety reason. You don't want to accidentally knock on the button to find your door opening when the car is moving at speed.
I love sleek designs. I love the Avatr 1 1. Makes me think this wud have been the next gen Range Rover Velar design. Velar designers have got to work even harder to go beyond this.
This SUV looks nice, it has some Ferrari Purosangue in the front and the overall shape kinda reminds me of an Aston DBX and Jaguar. Not saying they have copied anyone, it still looks unique.
Haahahahha. Are you sane. You are saying I am not saying they copied and then mentioned Ferrari. It was launched before Ferrari's SUV. don't be a fool 😂😂😂
Elegantly modern and simple design with a few interesting styling details. Since it's partnered with Huawei and using it's computing platform this EV might not be approved in a number of countries.
😂 Yes, you are perhaps correct. I am guessing that in the UK it will be banned because they will suspect Huawei tech of spying!!! Paranoid behaviour. Really liking this SUV though, very stylish. They should ditch the auto opening and closing doors... make it an option that you can choose by vehicle settings. Great car.
@@teohck7630 Really? You will find top Mercs or RR have closing mechanism only for this reason. Another important issue, has the "senser" the ability to restrain doors from being blown fiercely open in gale winds?
it's mostly from Americans and Westerners, it's the hate becos China is rising and it pains them, and they undermine everything they put out to make themselves feel better. The thing is China doesn't care 😂
This interior design has a lot of taste.. I've seen many Chinese EV designs trying a lot of different things but this one works very well. It's even got an architectural touch to it. It is a very tasty thing.
That's an awesome looking car with advance technology. I wonder though if they'll find their way in the US and for sure people will love it and will stand out amongst its peers. Thanks for sharing. 👍
What I wanna know when are Made in China EV going come to Europe specifically UK🤔. I've watched a few of RUclips videos test drive that you do on EV Chinese that are really good looking and I'm sure the upscale tech as well, so what is going on is it the competition they're afraid or something alse, I mean competition is good for consumers and also for new innovation. What do you think 🤔? by the again handsome car👌🏾💯
Gordon Bennett! It's a fantastic design! I'd say it's a little like the DBX only this is (dare I say it) sexier. Love the curves and silhouette of this car. The tech is a little over-engineered, they need to fix that.
I can see a bit of Porsche Mission E styling from the front air "scoops", but plenty of other cars have that. Also some GV60 from the lights. It's a bit sparse in the back with only massaging tech. You didn't mention ventilation/AC from the B-pillar or the center, nor any USB. Does it have none? As for the international availability and pricing, maybe you could put such numbers in the video details?
If there is a large frunk I want to see it, if there is a LED screen at the bottom of the wind screen I also want to see it. However, if there is a bug in the middle console I don't want to hear about it.
The exterior definitely doesn't look like it hasn't been that much copied to legacy car brands but in the interior the seat looks like the one from the Mercedes AMG sports car and the back seat air con also looks like Mercedes Benz system and the dash behind the screen I can see some Mercedes concept car Avatar features like the glowing tunnel.
I dont understand why many EV SUVs have a huge ass hood. They dont even need all that space! Why dont they make the car more compact!! Look at Tesla's Hood, its bent and not a square, still has tons of storage!
This suv is beautiful, I do not like the small pop out spoiler-they could have done without that. Everything else is good. Love the steering wheel and seats. The overall look of the suv is very impressive and it does look good at every angle.
Big wheels are not good for efficiency. But this seems to be a premium vehicle, where people do not care about efficiency as much. Do we know what is the drag coefficient?
Can you also review the new SAIC Feifan R7 Chinese EV? I been looking for one that I can understand at least cus everyone I came across was in Chinese and I didn't understand a word
Confession time - sorry, Elliot, I laughed hard at your frustration with the gimmicky doors! I haven't watched the live-stream yet , did they have lower-spec 5-seat versions on this event? Show off the 600+kRMB version by all means - they should have the confidence to include the mid-300kRMB base model as well. You could do with flashing up RMB-equivalent prices in (say) USD, GBP, AUD, like back over on your Fully Charged vids.
Yes point noted on the prices, I was in a hurry to get this one out! I did see the 5 seat version, but they wanted to show off the 4 seat one more. The 600k one wasn't there and no-one could tell me anything about it!
Highly unlikely as the Trump administration put Huawei on the list of banned companies from China and the Biden administration signed the Secure Equipment Act of 2021 which kept the ban in place. This is why many Chinese automakers are sending great EVs to Europe and other places and we are left out here in the US. They would have to remove all of the Huawei technology in the vehicle in order for it to be allowed in the US.
With the kind of anti -china sentiment going now, No. Yeah, politics sucks. And it always the people pay the price. Rich politicians don't give a damn.
It looks amazing - but at the same time, it does have some Ford Mustang E and Jaguar ePace hints. I don’t think it looks that unique - but it does look great.
Great review. For me the overall styling of this car reminds of having gone out to dinner & a movie & then having to unbutton the top two buttons of your jeans at the movie because you were a guts at dinner & ate too much - bloated in other words. Also the frontal height & fairly large nose on this car means it would be a bit difficult to grab anything of any weight in it, out of the frunk with ease as you have to lean over quite a bit - which would get old pretty quickly, especially if you were on the shortish side. Got a ladder anyone? Plenty of nice gadgets but irrespective of budget, I'm a of a more practical minded bent so I don't fit into the demographic the manufacturer was aiming at.
This car has the potential to become a dream car for many of us 🔥
This is a great looking SUV crossover. Chinese EV is getting better and better.
Thanks for informative and interesting review . Changan cars in Saudi Arabia is one of our favourite car brand trust worthy and reliable
Double tap to open the door is for safety reason. You don't want to accidentally knock on the button to find your door opening when the car is moving at speed.
That barely made any sense, door locks automatically from certain speed as a foundamental setting at most occasions.
Such a unique car, Western sourness can't cope no more
I love sleek designs. I love the Avatr 1 1. Makes me think this wud have been the next gen Range Rover Velar design. Velar designers have got to work even harder to go beyond this.
Best looking EV car out there! I heard its price is between $50k & 55k which is very good price tag!
front looks great too. the blended bumper/headlights. chefs kiss
That’s the best looking car I have ever seen.
I guess laferrari looks better
This SUV looks nice, it has some Ferrari Purosangue in the front and the overall shape kinda reminds me of an Aston DBX and Jaguar. Not saying they have copied anyone, it still looks unique.
I can see both the DBX and Purosangue in it - this is the EV version that a few more of us can afford!
@R. Dox Lealizen I know they just look similar. The Purosangue was based on the SF90, no one copied no one.
Lol, what do you think those Korean cars? Unique? 😂
Foolish comment! Volvo , London taxi , MG , M.Benz Smart series already sell to China company!
Haahahahha. Are you sane.
You are saying I am not saying they copied and then mentioned Ferrari. It was launched before Ferrari's SUV.
don't be a fool 😂😂😂
love that spiral dash design, i hope there's ambient lighting on it
it does have ambient lighting,u can check out other video
You can fix every door issue you have through the settings.
Great looking car - get an Model Y soon but already want to change to an Avatr 😆

Great car.
Nearly most Chinese car coming from China will have Huawei - spreading the use of Harmony OS.
Probably the best car right now, design, tech, plush, cool, unique interiors... All top stuff
Wish they sell this is Europe and UK
I really love the stylish headlights, tail window, dramatic and powerful wide shoulders.
The merger of consumer electronics and electric vehicle. Interesting stuff 🤔
Great review, China makes the best EVs and cars by far, you're so lucky haha.
I agree!
really great design!
I really love the whole design it really hits my taste.Great wall design team seriously needs to learn from this.

It's almost painful, but as I usualy suv hater, I must admit I like the look of this one !

Wholeheartedly agree - its tech for the sake of selling more cars. When a nice paired down version with less tech would be a great drivers car.
This is the beast from Avatar movie the Toruk Makto 😲
You need to double pull the lever to open the door in BMWs since e9x
Awesome. Why isn't this on fully charged? 😫

Overall cool design. The rear seems inspired from velar and jaguar f type. Nothing wrong with that.

Not yet.

the back looks particularly good.

Actually will this export to outside China?
Too bad…no head up display, what were they thinking. And why didn’t you address that in your video??

Looks very perspectively... Is he has rhe English language in menu?
Looks a bit slab faced, although the number plate helps break it up. The back window looks shite. Side styling looks good for an SUV.
