The reason the iPhones did not was that they had small batteries and you cannot work miracles when the capacity is so small. The Pixel really has no excuse, 5000 mAh and it is being beaten by 33% by the iPhone 13 Pro Max which has a 15% smaller battery. Making excuses is unreasonable, it is the old inefficient Exynos chip and modem that has negated any on-chip efficiency. You have to do both, best software and hardware and the Pixel 6 is flawed due to the Samsung hardware.

Okay, I actually own one .. the camera is mediocre, battery life is horrible especially in 5G, and Android 12 UI is arguably convoluted in its failed attempt to be "intelligent." And for FFS what's with all the extra spaces between words from voice dictation?!
That Pixel 6 pro vs pixel 5 camera comparison...is the 6 pro really an upgrade? Like at 11:35 where you say the 5 captures way less detail, I see the opposite.
Just got it a week ago, here's a few things to note coming from a pixel 5.... The cameras natural bokeh/depth is so good you don't need portrait mode Android 12 sucks. The fingerprint scanner is absolutely fine. It works almost instantly if your hands are moisturized. They fixed the speakers, praise Jesus The price is absolutely tremendous. Paid $200 for the phone by trading in pixel 5 and being a Google 1 member (they also gave me pixel buds for free) The best pixel/Nexus phone I've ever used.. And I've had every one except the 4
Excellent review!!! I have the Pixel 6 and for the price and build of this phone you just can't beat it!! I am coming from One Plus phones and I really liked them but they kept going up on their prices. Now I see with the competition from Google they have decided to drop their prices...sorry One Plus too late!!! Love the speech to text on this phone and it even does the punctuation for you. Great phone!!!
Is it me or smartphones top marketing point is always the camera? I mean, it's a great thing to have, but for me who barely uses a camera, i'd prefer a bigger battery and processing power...
Great review...I have a zfold 3 and wanted a second phone and was looking to get pixel 6...your review help me to decide. I will be getting the pixel 6
I bought the pixel 6. Everything is so good about the phone. But camera is not up to iPhone level tbh. It’s oversaturated and sometimes less details. Battery SOT I was initially getting 6 hours, now getting 8 hours, thanks to adaptive battery. Fingerprint is a bit disappointing of course, also had to buy $50 Zagg protector because nothing else works with fingerprint. The pixel buds that came for free were good but hurts my ears a lot and returning them doesn’t give me any refund.
Yeah it is $600. If you want your pictures better you can buy the $1000 iPhone, but you probably don't need your photos to be that good anyway, they're probably good enough
@@gcg8187 but what disappointed me mostly was the lack of macro mode. I understand that I cannot expect good macro photos at that price point. But pixel literally takes blur photos if the object is within 10 inches. This means any food photo, class notes (close shots) you take get blurred. It just terribly fails to focus close objects which could be better.
Fingerprint sensor issues, portrait mode problems on main lens, overheating, screen flicker. Not exactly what i would consider close to perfect. Hopefully Google can sort those issues out with updates.
Hi can u talk about some useful functions like cropping long screen, cast the screen on tv or projector, audio recording quality please? It's like everyone is talking about the chip, the camera, the screen, but not some down to earth
I really like the Pixel 6 range of phones, and would definitely get one if they were available in my country (i.e. South Africa). Importing one and essentially having no support or repair options available should I need them, makes me much less likely to go that route.
Whoa! I really like those Sound Core frames. Good timing because I need new glasses. And having my music and sounds always available makes it a MUST HAVE! Thanks!
I would like to purchase one. But, what angers me is the unavailability of pixel devices in the Philippines. If only there's an official reseller for pixel devices here.

Good job on the review. Yeah I got to say the screens are not bad but they're not quite bright enough at least here in Southern California I have a pixel 6 and I wish it got a little brighter. The voice typing on this phone is amazing it gets context it gets punctuation if you're somebody that get this phone. But I have to say Android 12 is a little buggy for some reason hey Google stop working on my pixel 6in I've been trying to figure it out why no longer responds with a voice I didn't change any settings it just stopped at some point. That said all new software has bugs so I'm sure that will get ironed out.
Scored a Pixel 6 from the Google store with no problem. Delivery in about 3 business days. I've always bought from the store in the past- way back when I got my Nexus 4. They must know me . Happy to get it no problems. Unlocked is the way to go. My girlfriend was up for a new phone, and we walked into a At&t sore and I asked if they had A P6, he said they had one. If it fits your budget, buy it outright. Once I saw it and she was thrilled, I will be trade in my P5 for 250 trade in value. Just ask for the trade in kit at checkout.
The main problem is the fingerprint sensor, is trash; the 2nd is that the phone gets warm quite easily; the camera can improve with software updates. For me those are the major complains, but can live with them. Overall I'm happy with my pixel 6.
You've probably got some kind of screen protector on it, like a 60 year old grandma would do. It works perfectly if you set it up right and don't put a screen protector on - i.e. how it's designed to work
@@chrisjames6327 nope, i don't have any screen protector, and i added 2 times my fingerprints for better recognition, but it is just slow or fails more frequently than other devices. Besides this issue, the pixel has so many goodies i can deal with that flaw.
The Pixel 6 is like the iPhone 13. As in, it's plenty powerful, the design is beautiful, the software is amazing, and it's just very charming and likeable. It's a very nice thing to own. Yeah, it may not match the S21 Ultra in benchmark scores, but the overall user experience is more satisfying in my opinion
Got the pixel 6, should be getting it in about 2 ish weeks. Coming from a OnePlus 8, let's see what the rave is about. I was thinking of getting the OnePlus 9 or 9t, but for what I paid for the pixel, OnePlus doesnt come close. Can't wait, great review btw
I'm confused, some of these shots look like a mixture of both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, can you please confirm they arerjr Pixel 6? (and not the Pro). Thanks.
Update: I purchased the 6 and it's absolutely awful, the UI is so difficult to use and the camera in low light is embarrassing, so grainy and blurred. Going to return it and sit tight for the s22.
Great review! And I would say that you are one of the best tech reviewers around. Explanations are clear and you really do your researches very well. Good job! Keep up the good work! Of all phones available for purchase nowadays, you have helped me decide to choose Pixel 6. The biggest factor is that it is priced less than other flagships. Google Tensor chip may not be the best SoC, but, if you combine it with Google's lightweight software UI, which is we all know the original stock Android, we may assure a superb performance!

Went from a 3a (which is my favorite phone and I didn't really NEED to upgrade) to a Pixel 6, and I'm going to need to hire an assistant to hold it. Wholly cow is this heavy. I'm seriously struggling.
I have Samsung, and it charges pretty FAST like, full battery within the hour if charging. Which us important, I have kids and no home phone so I ALWAYS need my phone on and with battery. How long does the pixel 6 take to fully charge?
Has anyone had trouble using an external mic for the pixel 6? I've tried 2 different ones and can't get them to work with the phone. I've read many complaints online. That's one huge complaint I have.
I was about to get this phone but the mark up in my country is disgusting. The Pixel 6 NOT PRO, costs 900 euros which is over 1000 dollars. What a shame... A phone that has an msrp of 599 usd = 530 euros costs almost 400 euros more in the end.
I use Realme X2. Now would like to upgrade but dont know to what. I just want charging brick to be included, to have stereo speakers and to charge it under 1 hour. Maybe OnePlus is the right one? Maybe Xiaomi? Any recommendations?
How much bloatware is on this phone? I have a Samsung S21 and it sucks! I had to go through and use a PC based program to delete dozens and dozens of apps. I want to switch to the Pixel 6 Pro but I don't want any bloatware. Last Google phone I had was a Nexus 6 and it was great! It had a clean install of Android.
@@jivepatrol6833 I have a Pixel 6 Pro. I like it alot. I am a big fan of the software, which is the primary reason I buy Pixel phones. The camera(like many reviewers stated) is great also. The only reason I bought it was because of 512GB of storage. It has a few bugs since it's so new, but they will more than likely get fixed with software updates. Overall, I like the fluidness of the phone. Hope that helps!!
Some things I've noticed: like others have said, the battery sometimes gets overly warm. Like when I first turned it on and was setting it up it got very hot very fast which concerned me a bit. I decided that maybe it needed to be left to fully charge. After getting a full charge, the battery seemed to stop warming so badly. Still gets warm with lots of usage like gameplay, but doesn't seem any worse than my previous Samsung S8. One thing I'm not a fan of is the navigation of Android 12. The swiping up and holding to get to previews of your open apps and the swipe to the side to go back are annoying. I prefer the straightforward icons on the bottom that give you a button for back, home, and open apps. I'm considering downloading an alternate launcher just for this. I'm also noticing a finicky nature to the touch screen. Some actions and movements it is just not picking up. I turned on One-Handed Mode and it is not working at all. I've noticed it when playing games as well; the touchscreen does not seem as reactive as it should be. So far I'm kind of underwhelmed. I still think my little S8 that's stuck on Android 9 works better. Edit: I finally found the spot in the settings to turn off Gestures that gives me the back, home, and apps buttons I was missing.
I'm actually sending Pixel 6 back. My battery drains severely and I've done everything to try and prevent that from happening. I'm going back to my 5a.i honestly think Android 12 is the issue. The OS, in my opinion, is crap. Too buggy. And the first month security update didn't do much to help. I miss Android 11.
@@aprilmiller2374 it would get really warm without being in sunlight and on the charger. I use very few apps, and the camera app and RUclips app would crash.
I was wondering if you had any issues with the phone getting hot? I've had mine for a week and even when I'm just doing basic tasks it gets really really warm. I read online that that could be because there's a heat shield on the back in the case. Please let me know your thoughts. I just want to make sure that I didn't just get a bad phone
I'd say it just the newness of the device- and if you are a power user IE- on it always- that big battery is going to get warm. It will settle once you have had it and it gets used to your routines.
With no headphone jack and Micro SD card , the Google Pixel 6 or Google Pix Pro are not the phones for me, I will choose instead either Google 5a or Sony Xperia 1 III or Sony Xperia Pro-I . 🙂

That Sorta Seafoam may be the most beautiful color Ive ever seen on a phone
❤️🎯
Okay, I actually own one .. the camera is mediocre, battery life is horrible especially in 5G, and Android 12 UI is arguably convoluted in its failed attempt to be "intelligent." And for FFS what's with all the extra spaces between words from voice dictation?!
That Pixel 6 pro vs pixel 5 camera comparison...is the 6 pro really an upgrade? Like at 11:35 where you say the 5 captures way less detail, I see the opposite.
Just got it a week ago, here's a few things to note coming from a pixel 5....
The cameras natural bokeh/depth is so good you don't need portrait mode
Android 12 sucks.
The fingerprint scanner is absolutely fine. It works almost instantly if your hands are moisturized.
They fixed the speakers, praise Jesus
The price is absolutely tremendous. Paid $200 for the phone by trading in pixel 5 and being a Google 1 member (they also gave me pixel buds for free)
The best pixel/Nexus phone I've ever used.. And I've had every one except the 4
thanks for your fantastic review
Is the voice recognition as good in other languages?
As a multi lingual user that is very important.
Finger print sensor for me and there are occasional hiccups and freezes
You've probably got some screen protector on it, like a 60 year old grandma would do.
@@chrisjames6327 whose child is this?
Hi can u talk about some useful functions like cropping long screen, cast the screen on tv or projector, audio recording quality please? It's like everyone is talking about the chip, the camera, the screen, but not some down to earth
What does cropping long screen mean and casting to TV is such a minor Feature I don't even know if anyone else knows what that is
I really like the Pixel 6 range of phones, and would definitely get one if they were available in my country (i.e. South Africa). Importing one and essentially having no support or repair options available should I need them, makes me much less likely to go that route.
Whoa! I really like those Sound Core frames. Good timing because I need new glasses. And having my music and sounds always available makes it a MUST HAVE! Thanks!
Pixel 6 uses the PPS protocol with PD 3.0 hence the slower speeds without it. You can use Samsung's 45W charger too.
I would like to purchase one. But, what angers me is the unavailability of pixel devices in the Philippines. If only there's an official reseller for pixel devices here.
You do some amazing content! Thank you!
Can the Tech Community talk more about the "perfect" phone..I hear you guys mention in every video "not the perfect phone" for this or that reason..what is a perfect phone and has there ever been one?
the tech enthusiast community is nitpicky & loves to complain lol. the perfect phone doesn't exist, will never exist & if it does its always by subjective opinion. but ig thats what makes it fun 🤷🏾♂️
@@yelnatsu Do you remember how good the best phone was 10 years ago? The galaxy S3? And it was "fast" and everyone loved it, everyone loved the photos and videos, the screen, and everyone had a happy life with their friends and family. I love technology but sometimes we get so spoiled and out of touch with reality, happiness comes from within, not technology specs.
Yeah people are taking the $600 phone and comparing it and comparing it to the camera of a $1000 phone as if it needs to be better.. How many people really need a camera that good? Do we really need the best? Are each of us the king or queen of a country somewhere? hehe
What's next our eyeballs aren't good enough? We need a higher refresh rate on our eyeballs? It seems like everyone's chasing a better and better experience, but if you pay attention your life is not actually getting better and better :( take a deep breath, life is complete
Good Day! Pwede po ba kayong magcomparison video ng mga smartphones na panalo ang camera pag low light? Tapos naka categorize po sya sa bawat price bracket (ex: P10K, P20K, and so on) Maraming Salamat and more power!
Fantastic review can't believe I wasn't subbed to you already, mission accomplished I appreciate your excellent material.
I live in Canada and I got my Pixel 6 very easily from my service provider, took 2 days before I had it in my hands. (ordered on monday nite had it Wed morning) Its a great phone so far.
Are you experiencing any issues with the fingerprint sensor?
@@johnnybravo4089 yes sometimes it dont read my fingerprint
@@enigmajester666 ok thanks
Good job on the review. Yeah I got to say the screens are not bad but they're not quite bright enough at least here in Southern California I have a pixel 6 and I wish it got a little brighter. The voice typing on this phone is amazing it gets context it gets punctuation if you're somebody that get this phone. But I have to say Android 12 is a little buggy for some reason hey Google stop working on my pixel 6in I've been trying to figure it out why no longer responds with a voice I didn't change any settings it just stopped at some point. That said all new software has bugs so I'm sure that will get ironed out.
hey man! love your content. But will u recommend me switching from iPhone 12 to pixel 6? Thanks a lot
11:16 Umm. “Greater depth of field” doesn’t mean “shallower depth of field”.
This is my first flagship phone and it's incredible
Going to return it and sit tight for the s22.
bros, is it better pixel 6 or oneplus 8 pro?
Very detailed video. Always a great 👍 job. Hope you reach 1 million subscribers soon.
Inclusive photography ... Really !!! It doesn't need a title , it just needs to be explained as a feature and upgrade over other phones .
I love the time you took to appreciate real tone!
Is going from samsung note 10 plus (exynos) to google pixel 6(non pro) a good move?
nice video!! will consider this a lot for what device to choose!!
The new update brings massive changes and the finfer print is super fast now
How do you listen to Spotify when at the gym - it seems the Pixel 6 doesn't have a hole to plug headphones into.
Hello is this already available in the phils? which store did you get it??
Guys, i'm planning to switch from 13 Pro Max to Pixel 6 Pro, i'm no hater to android neither am I a die hard apple fan. I'm open to explore new gadgets and pixel 6 pro is really tempting me. I dont know If i should switch, though. Knowing that i've been so used to Apple's UI
Went from a 3a (which is my favorite phone and I didn't really NEED to upgrade) to a Pixel 6, and I'm going to need to hire an assistant to hold it. Wholly cow is this heavy. I'm seriously struggling.
Yeah quite heavy
Was able to buy an open box discount pixel 6 128gb (sorta sage) brand new for $500 plus tax, could not pass that deal up
Ordered it on the 22nd (6 Pro) hopefully I'll get it soon 👍
I have Samsung, and it charges pretty FAST like, full battery within the hour if charging. Which us important, I have kids and no home phone so I ALWAYS need my phone on and with battery. How long does the pixel 6 take to fully charge?
Great review, quality content. Subscribed.
Got mine for 185$ after trading in an old iPhone I had sitting around. Great phone
the best review i've seen all this while
Has anyone had trouble using an external mic for the pixel 6? I've tried 2 different ones and can't get them to work with the phone. I've read many complaints online. That's one huge complaint I have.
Wow, excellent deep dive review!
My only question is can it survive drops. I loved my pixel 1 because I dropped it 3 times a day and it worked perfectly.
it's the same with me .. and there is still no scratch .. I'm looking for a replacement because the battery drops quickly..
cool wallpaper! is there how to make it available?
Call Recording - is this feature available ?
Best review I've seen. Thanks
I think google have a good joy in improving their phone this years.good review
I was about to get this phone but the mark up in my country is disgusting. The Pixel 6 NOT PRO, costs 900 euros which is over 1000 dollars. What a shame...
A phone that has an msrp of 599 usd = 530 euros costs almost 400 euros more in the end.
I use Realme X2. Now would like to upgrade but dont know to what. I just want charging brick to be included, to have stereo speakers and to charge it under 1 hour. Maybe OnePlus is the right one? Maybe Xiaomi?
Any recommendations?
Great review. I didn't checked the commemts but can you also revier the pixe 7. Thank you.
Pixels only come with Google apps. All other apps, you install yourself
@@anthonywilliams9415 - Thanks for the response and that's what I thought. Do you have a Pixel 6? Do you like it?
@@jivepatrol6833 I have a Pixel 6 Pro. I like it alot. I am a big fan of the software, which is the primary reason I buy Pixel phones. The camera(like many reviewers stated) is great also. The only reason I bought it was because of 512GB of storage. It has a few bugs since it's so new, but they will more than likely get fixed with software updates. Overall, I like the fluidness of the phone.
Hope that helps!!
@@anthonywilliams9415 - yes very helpful and I'm going to get one. Thank you for your response! 🙂👍
Nice review but why noone does reviews about video recording??
Beautifully done. Subscribed 😇
That sound core is 🔥
No sd card no headphone jack… this needs to go back on flagships
There is a setting for you to get the traditional 3 button instead of swiping to go back
@@devinsuon yeah took me a bit and a few searches online and finally found the settings to change it.
So welcoming. You're like the Rick Steves of tech
I ordered 2 Pros today from Verizon. Get them both in 3 days. Only the white was on B/O.
I get all day battery. What are you doing on your phone? Lol
@@aprilmiller2374 I'm hardly on my phone. I may had a defective unit but even Android 12 on my 5a is buggy.
@@aprilmiller2374 it would get really warm without being in sunlight and on the charger. I use very few apps, and the camera app and RUclips app would crash.
I’m gonna trade in my IPhone 13 for the Pixel 7 this fall
Wow very nice and detailed review. 👍
Excellent review yoy🔥
With no headphone jack and Micro SD card , the Google Pixel 6 or Google Pix Pro are not the phones for me, I will choose instead either Google 5a or Sony Xperia 1 III or Sony Xperia Pro-I .
🙂
Sony fans aren't great
I wasted my money getting one
perfect in camera only
Google did put a bigger battery in , it's just that Android phones chew through battery faster .
