This was my 4th BAND-MAID song and cemented my admiration for the band. In my 67 years I hold very few bands with that high regard. They are music to my ears. haha. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Peace. 8.24
When I first heard "Onset", I was flabbergasted. How many bands have a full on instrumental during a concert. Well, of course, Band-Maid does (at every concert). This is one of my favorite instrumentals at any time.
Band-Maid always brings an ONSET of love, appreciation and happiness to their viewers. Why? Because they're so damn good -- good-natured, good-hearted, good-looking, and beyond good as writers, players and performers. Wow, right?! Thx, Dogman!
The official Onset Live video was my first introduction to Band-Maid. After seeing them mentioned in numerous comment sections I decided to check them out. Despite thinking there was no way I would like an all female Japanese rock band... I instantly fell in love.
Saiki the lead singer has had throat surgery in the past so the band are very careful with her voice. They play 2+ hour sets so to give Saiki a break around mid-set they do three things. 1. Play an instrumental, 2. Miku (rhythm guitar) takes lead vocals for a song or two (she usually has one track per album where she is lead vocalist) and 3. Miku will do her legendary and hilarious "Magic Time" MC set. Then Saiki comes back on to finish the set. Even though Saiki no longer needs a break nowadays, it's become more of a tradition. So yeah, they have a number of really cool instrumental tracks.
Another excellent instrumental version of a song that actually has lyrics is "Giovanni"! Although I have a appreciation of Miku's lyrics, I can't imagine the task when she was presented with the music for "Giovanni"! ruclips.net/video/baeHeNO-cBk/видео.html Enjoy!
This is the first song i heard from them. And i was absolutely astounded that i listen/watched this performance multiple times after. And all i was doing was looking for new Babymetal and this kept popping up on recommended so i gave it a try and the rest is history. They are now my favorite band of all time now which is crazy as ive been listening to rock for almost 40 years now
The instrumental songs, along with a Miku song and Magic Time are designed to give Saiki a vocal break, as they are very careful of her voce after she had to have surgery to keep from losing her voice completely. Although Saiki has completely recovered and is even better now, thankfully, the instrumentals are still included. I think EVH smiles every time this song is played!
Great reaction, check out,,Without Holding Back,,another instrumental but is a white room video,so you see everything including Akanes foot action on the bass pedals, and its a banger.
This simply shows the perfection of the songwriting. Kanami Tono is a one in a million genius.

From Japan Although it is instrumental, it is recommended. "WITHOUT HOLDING BACK"

Band-Maid has more instrumentals "From Now On" MV or "Without Holding Back" MV ! Both are just as good or better IMO =) Thanks

I miss the tiny hat😆 but it's long blown out of orbit by Akane's sheer awesomeness. It's catching up the Voyagers by now😵💫
