I'm more like 33/66, and it's driving me insane. After a win streak, I can just feel the game is acting against me. Not only do I get paired with AI teammates, sometimes we do well at the beginning then everyone in my team starts leaving the game and once I even had a 2v5 match with no players joining for 5 minutes, it's disgusting
Honestly Ima maybe get flak for this but I don’t think matchmaking is the real issue. Overwatch has so many variables, unlike valorant or CS. Are you on your main or off role, can your team coordinate, did a teammate get staggered before last fight. So many small things go into a win or a loss it’s not so much as having a “bad team” or the game misevaluating each players skill, good player can have bad and costly moments in game or misuse a crucial CD, and bad players can hit a clutch shot to win the game after feeding all match. Overwatch is a mercurial game and really tilting, but parts of it can’t be fixed cause that’s kinda the game itself and that’s OK. Are your having fun when you play? Or At least having more good times plying it than bad? I love Overwatch cause it’s constant action and back in 6v6 LFG I made so many great memories on this game. When you log in, try to laugh at the BS and enjoy the rush of popping off, anyways your mom texted me I gotta go but consider what I said!
Yes the game has more variables then most player are aware of (especially metal ranks) still its obvious that there are lets call them "shifting points" after which it becomes very hard to still win a game. Its easy to notice that you dont just have one or 2 bad games but it becomes like 6 not winnable games in a row and they are completely different to the games you had before.I mean you sure can have a bad game with a comp that just doesnt work well against the enemy and the game would be winable just by switching some things up but I am talking about massive experience gaps in the teams that you have while beeing on a win streak vs a lose streak. Win streak "almost every game you have communication, you can see that the teams know about map control, counterpicking, adapting to enemy composition, good target focus and timing (they also talk about this stuff) and on the losing streak you dont see any of this things untill the losing streak is over. If you say something like "we need more mapcontrol, can we get the highgrounds" you get answers like "shut up and play the game mr gm top500" So people dont even want to hear those things and sure dont know what they mean. Its like you had masters on ur team in the win streak and then suddenly plats while losing. I see this pattern each season. (I´m high dia, low masters on all roles and each time I get to like mid masters after a win streak and expect my mates to get better since my rank is now higher its just the opposite and they play like plats missing basic knowledge about the game). I was shocked many times when I looked into profiles just to realise that there is a gold1 tank and I am his m1 support and we either roll the enemy team or get rolled. Matchmaking is a game of extremes and the 50/50 is like a switch that gets turned on and off xD
I love finishing 5-1 just to go from 98% to 99%

Love the game, but rank is just depressing.
