Give ball an actual personal shield to block shots with for his adaptive shield rather than not. Every other tank has a way to block cc in the form of shielding. Those that don't doesn't care so much for being cc'd for a time. Hammond will get screwed over for his entire combo just by getting booped slightly to the side let alone a sleep dart or roadhog hook. His piledriver should also b cc immune like how you gonna play a literal wrecking ball and get tossed around like a wet tissue. It infuriates me.
Bliz have basically powercrept CC and heals, so now they're in a tough spot. Their solution seems to be more damage to cut through the heals. Hmm! Where have we heard this before? We're stuck in groundhog day. They generally seem to struggle with designing heroes to work together. We lost 6v6 because they couldn't balance 2 tanks working together (a year of GOATS, a year of double shield etc.) and now we've got situations where Ball is an uphill struggle because: A) Ball doesn't do enough damage to burst through the absurd zero-aim supports & multiple get-out-of-jail cards (lamp/tp/suzu/pull/petal/etc). Ball only feels 'fraggy' when he's got a Mercy boost (... rare) or a nano. Then he feels scary. Most of the time you feel like a clown occupying the enemy team's attention. B) Ball gets absolutely obliterated by layered CC. You can literally get hacked, then slept, then a junk throws trap which gets you as you wake up (which shouldn't be a thing), then hooked ... etc. C) There's limited synergy & no peel for him, because supports can't follow him. This means your supports get limited value with a Ball, other than the odd LW pull. If Kiri TPs in to save a Ball, she dies instead. With all other tanks save for perhaps Winston (who is nearly always paired with an Ana), the supports get much more easy value using their abilities on their tank when the need arises. D) He cannot displace tanks because of the knockback passive E) So many abilities just plain ruin your flow, even incidentally (e.g. seismic touches you, or a Rein hammer swing, or a random bodyblock, or Illari's shift hits you when she doesn't even see you) I've been saying for months that there's _more_ CC in this game compared to OW1. You just feel it way worse on Ball because Ball has zero mitigation.
Well said. What non-ball players don't understand is that soft CC is just as damning as hard CC. The amount of times I've lost all value because doom tickled me with slam, brig bashed me, mei barely touches me with primary, bodyblocked by the smallest hero (tracer), etc, is just uncountable. And that's not even considering the billion ways to completely shut down doom and ball with hard CC. People already crying that doom is getting a buff to his laughably shit ultimate. We're not allowed to play hyper-mobile heroes if the have even a crumb of skill expression. Or what about all the other abilities that just stop or alter your momentum? Like sleep, (bastion) nade, whipshot, mag nade, slam, punch, knife, trap, (friendly lw) pull, (lucio) boop, wall, mei primary, literally anything orisa does, (phara) conc, vortex, pin, hammer swing, hook, pigpen, rock, hack and (ball) slam. And that's not even including the bloody ultimates. Tl;Dr: We ball (and to an extent, doom) mains are playing un ultra hardcore.

Make Adaptive shield give him 50hp per enemy, but it gives immunity for 0.5s and if you cancel some ccs like sleep with that immunity, you get a 25% damage buff for the shield’s duration
You're not alone Chazm. Pretty much it every tank main is fed up with seeing ana. Sleep is the most powerful stun in the entire game and anti is straight up the most powerful ability. "Ohhoo boo hoo go kiriko" first of all, you can hardly ever suzu both sleep and anti at once, and there are like a hundred other things you need to suzu. Just nerf ana, nerf.her to the ground. I am so tired of this support getting the highest picks and getting pathetic nerfs and even buffs instead.
Hear me out, what if they replace Ana’s anti nade with a self heal ability (similar to bap) or a movement ability like widow to get her to high ground and change the anti heal to proc when she hits a target multiple times within a short window. That way she has to focus on getting the anti or healing and increases her min max skill ceiling if she tries to do both at once
Nah, nice try, but it's a bad idea, most targets die after a few ana shots anyway and lowering damage is not a solution. And it will be really easy to ani the whole enemy team because shooting with ana is really easy. You spend just like 3 seconds getting an ani effect, and you are ready to heal again, or you can use bap tactic heal/shoot/heal/shoot. Your suggestion just buffed ana into the sky xD Movement ability just doesn't fit Ana's character and self heal would be too boring.

Hmm I’m seeing the counter argument. To fix the overwhelming anti aspect what if they made it a passive that’s on cooldown. So her anti can only proc every 30 seconds or so. That way it’s not entirely prevalent every fight.

Ball is the only tank i genuinely feel bad dunking on as a sombra main. The hamster mains are trying so hard but theyre hero is just so damn bad compared to other tanks
Ana's sleep dart is literally just as annoying if not more than Sombra's hack especially with Ball. I just said this yesterday while I was playing Ana and Sombra every match for 2 hours who only look to target me as a Ball main and no one else lmao it's so annoying.
At least sleep dart can miss. It's kind of fun fucking with Ana players to make them miss their dart and then going ape on them. Sombra just holds right click until you need to reload

Getting boops isn’t everything, you gotta disturb the right people or boop them in the right direction. The problem with ball is that you can do good yourself but if you don’t give everything to your team so they can do stuff, they’ll make you lose every game

Have to say, I am also getting sick and tired of seeing Ana in every round I play, it honestly might be time to give some other supports some more time in the field than Ana because god forbid the amount of times I wanted to break something because Ana came to fuck it up. 2 abilities and both have more potential to change everything than the devs do in a year.
I remember ml7 or some other support main one time talking about ana and saying something like “yea I just don’t want to see her ruined because she is one of the most fun and well designed supports” Shit I mean Winston is “well designed” does that mean he should have 1200 hp bubble and have 50 dmg punches?
I think lucio is way better designed. They just like her bc she is an ez to learn character. Her nade is pretty much the same as CS Nades, her sleep is just a projectile that you need to land every 11s and BAM HARD CC BABY! You dont need much to learn her and her value is unmissable. Her nade gets value in every situation, her sleep is not hard to land against tanks and her nano is impossible to miss and gets value in every situation because it is doing everyting (dmg reduction, burst heal, dmg boost on autoaim with target selection) Thats why she got such a high pickrate. IMO thats not a well designed character. Its just a ez to understand character. @@silentdc404 And fun fact: Ana players are still "missing" Nanos bc they cant look around. I started playing ball because well, is a hamster in a ball rolling over people and playing with the map, im still missing a few details but by far my best game i think has been 25-4-0 in silver 5, im still stuck there because rank apparently wants me there 😒
The problem with ball is one small buff and he’d be way too OP for those that main him. The only small buff I can see adding is instead of having shield health, they replace it with armor, considering he’s literally an armored ball. And it’d be a decent balance since it doesn’t replenish itself like his shield health, but the damage reduction would be nice. Edit: Also it doesn’t make sense that tanks are supposed to have knockback reduction but a brig can whip shot me almost 20 meters. And a doom can punch me so far off the map that my grapple hook won’t even reach the edge. A flaming wrecking ball can smack a measly 400 HP JQ and she goes no where but a brig can whip shot me as if I’m just another DPS. His physics are so busted it makes zero sense.
imo he doesn't really need more surviability, he needs more damage potential. They should rework his adaptive shields to give him a short damage boost proportional to the amount of allies around. That way it doesn't break him when he dives, but he has enough damage to fight the enemy tank when he rotates back to his team.
@@timbarrett4580 I would say he needs more reliability to land his abilities and avoid cc, so I would suggest they give him an actual shield around his body for his e so he can avoid hooks, ana sleep dart, and other projectiles. He would still get cc'd by other stuff like brig, junkrat, and rein to name a few. Even then and it would reduce the amount he would have to deal with in terms of cc overall.
Having all your momentum stolen simply by brushing shoulders with a tiny little tracer is death when momentum is your entire advantage. I get body blocked, unintentionally so much and its just bad physics. And habing the world's largest hitbox definitely doesn't help either.
@@allink5526 he already was going the direction of highground after he did the 180 wallbounce, the piledrive even has a delay which is slower than if he saved it and rolled up the stairs to highground. later he was in a room with ana and couldve done a walljump piledrive to secure a kill and maybe hold the first point longer, but he was on piledrive cooldown and subsequently lost the first point
@@JaronPalone I know it looks like it helps, but the moment he presses piledriver he loses all that horizontal velocity he had a few seconds ago, then he has to roll starting from 0 m/s from that edge of high ground to the other edge to see the fight. Look even though chazm paints himself as the best wrecking ball player in the world, he still makes mistakes. Stop glazing so hard. If he hadn't piledrived and rolled up the stairs, he would be in the same exact position but with an essential part of his kit not on cooldown.
Balance is thrown out the window because of the community bias for Ana. "she takes skill", "just bait out cds" my ass. Rework her nade to finally reduce healing rather than prevent it. And watch how they cry she's useless whilst still being in every game and having a huge impact.

They have actually done this once before. He was a lot larger when they first released ball. It was weird seeing him smaller for a while.

@@Pam234ball is heavily reliant on good aim tho, since his boop slam combo isn’t nearly as effective, ball mains need to have superb tracking or you find yourself needing to disengage or reload mid fight way too often
@@eddiemorgan7290 if a character can theoretically make it to gm without shooting then they don’t rely on their aim as much as other characters.
do you mean AIM like on weapon? Its not that ez bc you need to aim on your cooldowns too. like boop reset from a wall with a specific angel. You need Aim for that. You still need aim even when you arent shooting@@Pam234
Have to say, I am also getting sick and tired of seeing Ana in every round I play, it honestly might be time to give some other supports some more time in the field than Ana because god forbid the amount of times I wanted to break something because Ana came to fuck it up. 2 abilities and both have more potential to change everything than the devs do in a year.
I remember ml7 or some other support main one time talking about ana and saying something like “yea I just don’t want to see her ruined because she is one of the most fun and well designed supports”
Shit I mean Winston is “well designed” does that mean he should have 1200 hp bubble and have 50 dmg punches?
I think lucio is way better designed. They just like her bc she is an ez to learn character. Her nade is pretty much the same as CS Nades, her sleep is just a projectile that you need to land every 11s and BAM HARD CC BABY! You dont need much to learn her and her value is unmissable. Her nade gets value in every situation, her sleep is not hard to land against tanks and her nano is impossible to miss and gets value in every situation because it is doing everyting (dmg reduction, burst heal, dmg boost on autoaim with target selection) Thats why she got such a high pickrate.

And fun fact: Ana players are still "missing" Nanos bc they cant look around. Ana players could have infinet HP and they will still die. CHANGE MY MIND

I started playing ball because well, is a hamster in a ball rolling over people and playing with the map, im still missing a few details but by far my best game i think has been 25-4-0 in silver 5, im still stuck there because rank apparently wants me there 😒

The problem with ball is one small buff and he’d be way too OP for those that main him.
The only small buff I can see adding is instead of having shield health, they replace it with armor, considering he’s literally an armored ball.
And it’d be a decent balance since it doesn’t replenish itself like his shield health, but the damage reduction would be nice.
Edit: Also it doesn’t make sense that tanks are supposed to have knockback reduction but a brig can whip shot me almost 20 meters. And a doom can punch me so far off the map that my grapple hook won’t even reach the edge.
A flaming wrecking ball can smack a measly 400 HP JQ and she goes no where but a brig can whip shot me as if I’m just another DPS.
His physics are so busted it makes zero sense.
imo he doesn't really need more surviability, he needs more damage potential. They should rework his adaptive shields to give him a short damage boost proportional to the amount of allies around.
That way it doesn't break him when he dives, but he has enough damage to fight the enemy tank when he rotates back to his team.
@@timbarrett4580 I would say he needs more reliability to land his abilities and avoid cc, so I would suggest they give him an actual shield around his body for his e so he can avoid hooks, ana sleep dart, and other projectiles. He would still get cc'd by other stuff like brig, junkrat, and rein to name a few. Even then and it would reduce the amount he would have to deal with in terms of cc overall.
I hate adaptive shields. It is one dimensional and boring. It existing also means he can’t have more movement or dmg or tools for cc or anything else.
He probs doesnt need more survivability for buff, he got a shit ton of that
Having all your momentum stolen simply by brushing shoulders with a tiny little tracer is death when momentum is your entire advantage. I get body blocked, unintentionally so much and its just bad physics. And habing the world's largest hitbox definitely doesn't help either.

Piledrive moves tou forward in the direction you are looking a little bit
@@allink5526 he already was going the direction of highground after he did the 180 wallbounce, the piledrive even has a delay which is slower than if he saved it and rolled up the stairs to highground. later he was in a room with ana and couldve done a walljump piledrive to secure a kill and maybe hold the first point longer, but he was on piledrive cooldown and subsequently lost the first point
@@JaronPalone I know it looks like it helps, but the moment he presses piledriver he loses all that horizontal velocity he had a few seconds ago, then he has to roll starting from 0 m/s from that edge of high ground to the other edge to see the fight. Look even though chazm paints himself as the best wrecking ball player in the world, he still makes mistakes. Stop glazing so hard. If he hadn't piledrived and rolled up the stairs, he would be in the same exact position but with an essential part of his kit not on cooldown.
Balance is thrown out the window because of the community bias for Ana. "she takes skill", "just bait out cds" my ass. Rework her nade to finally reduce healing rather than prevent it. And watch how they cry she's useless whilst still being in every game and having a huge impact.
