    Man, thanks a lot, super useful video. When you said "go to the back and remove the router power, throw it away" helped. I kept thinking it was still essential and I was not winning.

    That's all nice but how do I get a wireless connection working during loadshedding on that thing? Meaning, I need to power the router and dish.

    • @STUFFWEDO
      @STUFFWEDO  Год назад +1

      This will power the router but not the dish. We only need the router to be on so it works for us. You seem to need something a bit more substantial

    • @mariuscampher4050
      @mariuscampher4050 Год назад +1

      @@STUFFWEDO Turns out the UPS required to power both has a POE and LAN port at the back. The POE powers the dish.

Gewone router kan ek inprop geen probleem maar die fibre router is 24v en ek sien agterop is daar 'n POE 24v maar dis 'n lan plug waar prop ek dit op die wifi router in? gebruik ek 'n gewone lan kabel en prop ek dit net by een van die lan plugs in?

      @STUFFWEDO  Год назад

      I am not sure but it does have slots for plugs at the back that I am not sure what they are used for. So maybe?

    • @izzy4957
      @izzy4957 Год назад +1

      Yes you can. The second output shown at 01:35 is meant for the fibrebox. Just make sure the overall power being drawn by the fibrebox and router does not exceed the power rating of the Supa Fly UPS.
      If it does, the Supa Fly has a built in protection which will stop power being drawn by the devices.
      My Supa Fly has a rating of 18W while my fibrebox and router combined draw 17W
