Jayne Mansfield’s body was taken to Bultman’s Funeral Home on St. Charles Avenue, New Orleans. After Katrina hit, this beautiful building, which resembles Mt. Vernon, was converted into a Borders Bookstore! 😅But wait-there’s more! After Borders “died,” cause the “Book” of Life is brief, it became its current incarnation, The Fresh Market, a gourmet grocers! A funeral home becoming an upscale grocery store-only in New Orleans!!

It’s right across the highway from the marina.
They moved it where the accident occurred.
The memorial was originally 5 miles from the actual location.
