@lizbignell2820 sure, then they breed the crap out of them till they have had enough, these trainers walking around in tuxedos are nothing more than your common con on the street, they think they are elite but the reality is they are scum.
What a great insight into City Of Troy. I hope for all of the team involved, you whip there backsides in the B Cup. The only downside will be the dirt, but I don't think they would be going if they did'nt think he could handle it. All horses are very special, but as Aiden says this one is exceptional. Go you good thing. 😀😀😀

The only question for me is the American dirt and to a lesser extent, the pace. I’m a yank myself but I’ve followed European racing since Galileo and Giant’s Causeway so I’m pretty familiar with how the races are run there. CoT has the sire, but Galileo himself tried and couldn’t. There’s a reason why most turf horses period don’t handle grass. That dam side is ALL middle distance grass. I don’t blame coolmore and Aidan for trying, Giant’s Causeway gave Tiznow a scare and ended up being an excellent dual surface sire himself. Not a fan of retiring all their good colts at 3, then doing both breeding seasons. But it’s their decision their horse. More an Aidan fan than coolmore as an entity but I respect them for taking care of their horses to the highest standard. We’ll see how CoT does. I don’t think this horse should be the favorite though, I think that talk is a bit bonkers. As I said not a fan of some of the things coolmore does but I will admit I do like how they’re not afraid to try something different. Good luck to him, may he run well. My money is on the other Coolmore horse.
Great post, I pretty much have the same thought process as you on everything you wrote there. Whatever happens it's definitely drummed up more interest in this year's Breeders cup for Europeans which is good as it's a meeting I have loved ever since Tiznow pipped our Iron horse all those years ago.
A horse trainer told me many years ago it's the Northern Dancer sire line that leaves the grey tail. COT has Northern Dancer on his dams (mother) side x 2
That's my Martin for you, he is always thinking of his friends. It was very nice of him to livestream the birth of City of Troy to Saudi so you could be part of that joyful moment with him. #knowlegeispower

He will be able to run fast he also has great tactical speed and he stays if the pace is on .. he will be able to outstay any horse in that field 😅 hope he wins goodluck ❤
Really looking forward to it, hes Been a real champion this season, my opinion is hes not gonna handle the track or the dirt, its COMPLETELY different to turf, highland falls or fierceness will win the race.

@@jarvsie Aidan is the third winningest trainer at the BC after Americans D. Wayne Lukas and Bob Baffert. Ireland has the highest win percentage at the BC (10), with the US second (8.6) and GB third (7.9). Most of those Irish wins belong to Aiden and his "looking under stones" strategy.
