It was nice to hear these three jocks since they have so much experience and history among them AND that they are still riding at a top level today. I was glad to watch this, thanks NBC for creating it.

This was great. When I was grooming, Jerry was bit of a younger journeyman, and I retired before Smith, Velasquez, & Dettori came along.
I always had a heart for the jocks, tho, they are the toughest athletes on the planet! I would have loved to work with this guys! 💗🏆

I still remember Johnny R V won Breeders Cup Mile with DaHoss in 1998. Won by just a head.
After winning, TV broadcaster immediately interviewed Johnny R V, his English level was just so-so, almost impossible undertaking what he said then

I bet a horse Jimmy Graham rode in the 2018 derby because I (In my infinite wisdom) thought the horse would be good in the mud. I was lucky enough to be in the paddock when the horses left EVERY jock when leaving looked at the crowd with a little bit of a star struck look.....NOT Mike Smith when he legged up on Justify he cocked his whip and seemed to look straight through the crowd. I told myself this guy is running the race in his head right now. I was looking for the horse on the lead at the half and he was it. I CHANGED MY BET.

How is the riding of these four who are more or less in same generation comparing to nowadays young riders below age 35 ?

Many Many Races Are Won By The Skills And Tatics And Greatness Of The Rider, That Derby Winner Whom Never Won Another Race Won The Derby Because Of The Riding Skills Of The Jockey And Most Racing Fans Choose The Jockey Over The Horse, Example We See The Very Great Irod Ortiz On Some Real Stinkers Yet They Ended Up Being Favorites All Because Of The Jockey, The Horse Is There To Run But It’s Jockey’s Decisions And Skills Decides The Outcome Of Any Race,,,,,🏰🇺🇸🇯🇲 Mr. KeenObserVatioN PhD,🇯🇲🇺🇸🏰

@ he’s a multi millionaire, that does his job and is the best turf jockey of all time . If you watch his interviews where he is comfortable sitting down ; you can see he’s a true gentleman. Imagine riding a roller coaster and get interviewed seconds after? You feel exhausted, nauseous and have to sit there and answer silly questions 😂

A Jockey’s Job Is Just As Important As The Horse They Ride Because Without The Rider The Horse Becomes Clueless Sure The Horse Does All The Running Likewise A Race Car But Without A Navigator It’s Jockey The Horse And Car Would Be Running Wild With Most Going Far Wide Or Through The Rails, And It’s Often The Skills Of The Jockey That Matters,,,,🏰🇺🇸🇯🇲 Mr. KeenObserVatioN PhD,🇯🇲🇺🇸🏰

And How In The World That Trainer Out His Turf Horse Whom Never Ran On Dirt And Who’s Sire Only Produce Good Turf Runners Place Your Grade One Turf Horse Into A Condition He Has Never Ran And His Breeding Suggests Great Turf( Justify’s Offsprings) And Move Him Up Into A Grade One Dirt Race, And He’s Not A Grade One Dirt Campaigner, They Should’ve First Tested City Of Troy In A Grade (3) Dirt Race, To Find Out If He’s Also A Graded Dirt Runner, I Knew He Would Never Win And Would Finish Down The Track, Justify’s Offsprings Are Only For Turf, And We All Didn’t Get The Chance To See Justify On The Turf Or Raced As A Four(4) Year Old, Secretariat Was A Turf Horse Whom Won On Dirt & Turf Likewise Animal Kingdom And The All Tested The Dirt In Graded Competitions Before Going Grade One(1),,,,🏰🇺🇸🇯🇲 Mr. KeenObserVatioN PhD,🇯🇲🇺🇸🏰

@@karenhilker8074 If you recall, no horses were closing at CD over those two days, she was the only one who could do it. Smith probably gave her a bit too much to do in the race and also if you watch the stretch run, Garrett Gomez should thank Martin Garcia for letting him out of a box. I recall this like it was yesterday. It cost me a really big payday if she won.
