Omg, sound quality is great, Labrie hadn't ruptured his vocal chords, Kevin Moore is right there, they were so young full of energy...the best of times huh, 10/10
This is the band that looked like they wanted to take over the world. Now that they have the whole world listening to them, complacency ruled over. How I wish I could see this again in my lifetime.
wow, when these guys had their youth, their technique was just spot on. on top of that, the music they wrote during this period established the high standard for the rest of their albums
I would assume a direct line from the soundboard into a camcorder. Either that or a tape of the show that was layed over afterwards. Those are my two best guesses
@@TransformACatCentral I like them both. Ruddess is technically better but Moore had chops too. Just look at Moore at 8:05 looking casual while playing.
Yes, yes she is actually. If you don't like pop that's fine but she is a good singer. And as for over the top. Yeah, we call it prog Metal. If it ain't over the top well then it ain't doing it's job.
James with clean voice... Awesome.
I miss that time
This is the most energy I've ever seen john myung play with

Creo que fue por el 2001

He's quite a bit off key at the beginning.
This is Dream Theater at their prime... legendary lineup.
4:00 Portnoy did the triplet thing he would do in studio about 7 years later while playing the same riff during Home
Madonna mia!!! Che tempi!!! Avrebbero tirato giú qualunque palco!!!
LaBrie was SO fucking good in the early days.
Then why is he so off key?
This is the band that looked like they wanted to take over the world. Now that they have the whole world listening to them, complacency ruled over. How I wish I could see this again in my lifetime.
Labrie here is amazing !!! 😢 incredible
James' voice cracked hella when he said "Before the leaves have fallen"
They really did peak early on....
I think the entire time Portnoy was in the band they kicked ass. James peaked early on for sure. Kevin was awesome as well.
Yeah, Images and Words is still their masterpiece in comparison of their other records In my opinion.
@@teeple1877James had a few peaks imo. He was really good till the late 2000’s and solid 2011-2012
@@Coconuthut1 yeah you’re right. He sounded great live around that time.
John Myung so epic
they were so happy :')
Thank you very much for uploading this gem , sound is great!! greetings from Spain!!
Holy crap! Thanks for this! I was at this show. The first time I ever saw them live.
3:48 It's really amazing
Thats the essential DT-period. With KM and MP.
Kevin Moore rules!!!
The golden age of Dream Theater.
Wish i got to see this dream theater labrie before his voice went was something else.
Someone took a majestic high quality pic of this show !!! I like be the shirt John is wearing here. He’s soo cool
Which john?
3:49 LaBrie!!! :)))) SICK

This is the best live performance I've seen by ANY band!!! Thank you for posting this; subbed!

Iwas there!
O vocal aqui era outro nível slk

Mecca version made even better since Portnoy isn't visible 😁 also, when LaBrie didn't give a shit
James' voice is all over the place holy out of key Batman.

John and his Reebok Pumps 😜
I NEVER EVER found myself 2023
What
mike its was behind the black wall in the rigth side of the camera, soo sad dont look him.
Crazy myung
James voice is in puberty state,,,,
Why does this sound so good even if the recording is a little shoddy?
who cares!

@@Guitarplayer7253second guess is corr3ct
Bruh, Labrie used to do this and now people complain why he ruptured his vocal chords.
❤️
why i see this video now
Great stuff !Filipina?
5:05 Petrucci does a mistake :O
True :)
So fucking what?
The guitar made a mistake John had it executed after the show for it's blatant disrespect.
Petruccis low e sounds a little flat
I can't see drummer.
He's behind petrucci
it's a drum computer lol
@@Intect2013 yup, superior drummer :P
Kevin Moore awesome ( the wizard Rudess is a clown)
Both are fantastic

@@robertherrick6703 Ruddess can't write anywhere near as good as Moore.
Agree, kevin moore era is the DT best era
@@shred5 Metropolis pt.2, Octavarium, Six Degrees - amazing keyboard works lol
What a mess!
to be honest, that rhythm guitar tone is shit, cant tell if its just the audio, or if hes slightly out of tune, but it is way to twangy and thin
When John Petrucci was cool
Still cool nowadays
@@MetropolisScenesFromAWorldTour in a totally opposite way and not any less cool :)
I can never stop wondering what were the band thinking when they decided that Labrie was a good choice. He's way over the top.
yeah, they didn't do well at all with him, no success, no recognition.
What does my questioning have to do with success? Britney is a successful artist. Is she a good singer?
Check out some live stuff with Charlie Dominci. Then listen to this ruclips.net/video/nTzlEadGeTo/видео.html

Labrie in this era was untouchable. Since then not so good
