I think this duet came about because Yungblud did a mash up of I'm With You when her covered Cardigan by Taylor Swift in the live lounge. It's well worth checking out if you haven't before- Yungblud has a knack for mashup covers and it's interesting how different his voice is to Avril's yet is still works. Avril's voice here is captivating.
Yeah. He made this mash-up and put in the title "Cardigan cover" with NO MENTION whatsoever of Avril even though it was basicaly just I'm with you (full instrumental, choruses AND bridge) with just the verses of Cardigan. I think it was fucking disrespectful, and a lot of other ppl though the same, you can read the enraged comments on the video... So he did this somehow to make up for it. (And i'm not gonna lie, I LOVE the way it turned out)
Avril is my fellow Canadian and just a couple of things we need to note here. It's 20 years since the initial song release. She was diagnosed several years ago with lyme disease and was really sick. I know she was sick singing this as well. Let's also take note that she's sitting down with her legs crossed and sounds great!
Avril Lavigne has Limes disease so she will have bad days that’s why she left music for so long she was in bed 2 years due to it I’m avril fan obviously the women can sing think what she would do standing up actually trying it’s crazy how she does the vocals to this sitting legs crossed she will be 1 again this time with her new music

the fact she was sick here and still killed it shes not a amazing top tier vocalist but still something about her voice so nice to listen to
