I don't understand people who have unwashed hair and are still able to wear it down. I can have one good hair down day... freshly washed. Her hair isn't greasy.
@@KlaDillinger exactly. That wasn't 2 weeks of no washing. Dry shampoo doesn't keep your hair that fresh. You can only use so much before your hair cries for a wash.
ok but like literally her week old unwashed hair still looks less greasy than my third day hair like I don't understand why she keeps saying it's so greasy lol

The thing is she didn't even let water touched her hair but dry shampoo is okay to use especially when she asks her coworkers after that how the like her hair
I wash my hair once a month, no products. I wash why baby shampoo and then put macadamia oil on the lengths and ends. It's not greasy, it smells nice. It's not itchy or flakey. I don't cheat with dry shampoo or water.
True, but that also depends on your hair type and what ingredients are in the shampoo. If they are sulfates, like sodium laurel sulfate, ya, especially if combined with other sulfates and/or harsh stripping agents. However, if you have a properly formulated shampoo, especially one that is gentle and particularly hydrating, washing your hair everyday shouldn't be a problem. Just avoid harsh cleansers and silicone. I have normal hair and wash it everyday, and don't even use conditioner at all, and my hair is soft and bouncy.

'You need to wash your hair every day.' Every curly hair girl starts laughing. 😂😂
Camilla Esmé well in order to make my curls I wash my hair every day and let it dry naturally or if it’s cold With a blow dryer. So not all curly hair girls are laughing
I do this on the regular, every 2 weeks I wash my hair. Black hair is veryyyy different. If I was to wash my hair every 5 days my hair will break and be dry. Also because my hair is very curly the oils take longer to reach my hair shaft. It all depends on your hair type😌
Maybe it’s cus I’m black, I don’t relax my hair or anything, I wash my hair every like 10 days lol, I’m looking at her hair and I literally don’t see anything different. It looks the same on day 1 as it does on day 11 LOL. Am I the only one not seeing the difference ??? 😂 like I’m sure it feels oily but I don’t visibly see it
Dry shampoo is definitely cheating. I am a white chick as well and I wash my hair like every four days. Maybe sometimes I go a week. I brush it every day though. I also wear it in a ponytail everyday for work. Idk
baby squid everybody deals with depression differently, when I relapse I barely even cry, I don't fell anything I just lay in bed and do nothing there was a point where I had to move back home and my mom had to shower me and brush my teeth
She *definitely* used dry shampoo more than once during this experiment. Ber hair would NOT look that clean and have that much body. Dry shampoo causes dandruff and considering how she kept complaining about dandruff... Personally, I have very thick and wavy hair naturally, and my hair gets pretty oily after two days. My hair loses all of it's body after three days and almost looks straight along with being very flat. It doesn't matter the type of hair she has, it would've been looking *much* more oily if she didn't use dry shampoo.
Thank you I agree that it's cheating and we also have a similar hair type cause my hair gets sooooooooo oily by the second day it annoys me very much and my hair is thick and wavey
Casey Tyree or she just has dandruff? Dry shampoo isn’t the only cause of dandruff and also not everyone who uses dry shampoo has dandruff. Also dry shampoo is not the equivalent of cleaning your hair. All it does it take up some oils
Whoa your hair still looks so good after a couple of days of not washing it! My hair is really straight and heavy and it already is really greasy on the second day of not washing it... :/
My hair get greasy and flat by the end of the day. I literally have to put dry shampoo in it on freshly clean hair. Though I also went 92 days without washing it and its weird how your hair just kind of "adjusts"
Your head probably over produces grease because you wash it so much. If you stopped washing it as often, it might not be as bad on the 2nd and 3rd days.
Pushicorn bob so true I have super thick hair and I wash it twice a week but it is still so heavy and it feels like their is 10 cats on my head XD and if I don't brush it for at least a day I look like I'm from Jamaica lol 😁😂
@@kensiem8252 it's always healthier to not wash daily. When washing , you are removing natural oils on your scalp which coats the scalp and hair with healthy oils. The only reason why many people with loose curls and straight hair have oily hair is due to over washing. The body's response to being stripped of the vital oils is to produce more. Washing less will tell the body that high oil production isn't needed. It takes time for the scalp to the adjust but overall the scalp and hair is healthier with less washing.
I can’t handle not washing my hair for more than 3 days because after that my hair looks like I gelled my entire head with 12 containers of gel so yeah I wash it everyday lol it honestly just depends your hair type
I need to wash my hair after two days because i've got pretty short haircut, so i can't hide it with a ponnytail. At the end of the second day, it looks like i just left a pool😂....it's disgusting....sometimes i just want to buzz off my hair cause i'm so tired of washing it so often
I think this depends on hair type and ethnicity tbh. Just growing up in a black house hold, Black women didn’t wash their hair everyday. It damages it.
As a rule, I never wash my hair more than twice a week. Sometimes, I even wait two weeks, like in Lucie's experiment. I never have any big problems with my hair or scalp. So it works really great for me.
hipnhappenin My hair looks awful second day after wash. But i gave up, i just rock high ponnytail and wash it every 4-5 days. Ain no body get time for dat...
I can easily go 3 weeks without washing my hair, with no real noticeable changes in oil, smell, texture, etc. I do this because my hair is down to mid-thigh, and wavy, so it takes a while for my oils to reach the ends of strands. It also takes a full couple of hours to wash it, and 48+ hours to air-dry. It's a process. I started changing both my skincare and haircare years ago (around 10), though, and my skin improved greatly, and my hair has grown healthier than it has ever been. Longer than that, and I do start to get some dead skin buildup. Also, close-up, dry shampoo tends to look like dandruff. It is white and flaky /powdery, after all. The reason people start feeling like they have "oily" hair after a day or two, is because they wash their hair every day or two. You're stripping your hair of all of its oils, and it needs to over produce oils in order to compensate. The same happens in skincare: if you wash your face with harsh cleansers every day, you can start to over-produce oils. And many just simply can't wash their hair every day or week. Many black people with thick, course hair absolutely cannot wash their hair that often, because 1) it takes curly hair much, much longer for oils to coat the strands, especially when it doesn't lie flat on the scalp, and 2) while their hair is very thick and coarse, it also tends to be VERY fragile and prone to breakage. It requires oils and lotions to stay moisturised and healthy, and washing more than once per week promotes damage. If you have shorter, thin, straight hair, washing every day probably won't cause any problems. If you're trying to grow out your hair, though (or already have long hair), it's generally recommended to wash your hair less frequently. Obviously, it takes a shorter time for oils to reach the ends of shorter hair, and it's cut often enough for new hair to replace old, damaged ends.
I don't wash my hair that often bc I have natural hair. Maybe every 7 or 9 days. It always has alot of oil bc it holds the curls but when I keep it like that my curls feel so good and my hair grows long and thick
Saaaame girl 👏👏 I have braids in my hair (no weave, all natural) and I don’t have to do much with it other than taking it out when the braids are messy, but luckily you can wash your hair with the braids in (as long as there’s no weave)
girl... not washing your hair doesn't mean not getting it wet... what are you doing? everyone I know who does this, cleans their hair once a month naturally, but showers/rinses their hair otherwise whenever they shower/whenever it works for them.
I have really thin hair so when it gets oily it starts to section itself of at the scalp while the lengths get static... Yeah, it's not a good look for me :/
madelyn sullivan my friend has hair like you I can’t imagine having to deal with thick hair. I have very fine, mostly straight, fast-growing, extremely oily hair. So I wash it every day 🙄.
Anyone who uses the term "libtard" unironically is a fucking idiot and not worth the time talking to. Either that, or 10 years old. Come up with better insults. "Libtard" is no better than "poopy head."
The reason curly, coily, kinky haired people do not wash their hair everyday is NOT because we produce more oil in our scalps. It's because our oils can't get down to our ends due to the twists and turns of our hair.
PLUS, our hair NEEDS the natural oils. Stripping your hair with shampoo would strip it of those important natural oils, which make it beautiful, shiny and keep the curls intact. Plus we have A LOT, of THICK, lustrous, curly hair. The length, the thickness, the curliness, and the rate at which it loses moisture and becomes dry (which is ridiculously fast), are EACH individual factors in how much moisturizing is required. I use natural Jojoba, Argan, or other organic oils, directly on my hair (as one of many leave-in conditioning agents)--for styling, and to keep my hair nourished. Our hair is delicate, and constantly dries out otherwise. It's actually quite difficult to keep up with the conditioning needs of our hair. It's labour intensive, and expensive. My mom who is Caucasian, when her hair was it's thickest and longest--would still collect too much oil very easily. The Caucasian side of my family absolutely washes their hair essentially every day (save for the occasional lazy day--my mom certainly wouldn't leave the house without doing so). It wouldn't be my preference to wait two weeks to wash my hair. But, it wouldn't be an issue either. If I could cowash, I wouldn't notice it at all...;)
Also, I prefer to cowash as much as possible. I still do wash with shampoo too. I just wish there weren't so much grime in the city. I ADORE getting out of the city--because then you almost never need to shampoo at all...
MissJessyeNorman True. My boyfriend has thick straight hair and he doesn't wash everyday. I've never even seen his hair oily. Lol. I wash my hair every 3 days because it gets dry and needs more moisture by day 3. My forehead gets oily from my scalp though. 😂😂
Vinegar and baking soda are NOT good for hair because of the pH levels being way too acidic for the hair. If you are used to washing your hair every day, your head will produce more oil as it gets stripped more often. Shampoo and conditioner that is store bought contains silicone that coats the hair and will make it feel heavier or more greasy a lot faster. If you do go without washing your hair, please at least use water on it! Anyway, I’m a junior stylist and am very focused on hair health and condition but I can always be proven wrong and am willing to listen x
if you have naturally wavy or curly hair, using baking soda and apple cider vinegar rinse is fine.. my hair is long and thick because of this.. it did not do any damage
Your hair didn't look bad at all!! :) Personally, I found that I can use a lot less shampoo if I "clean" my hair with hot water and massage it thoroughly before using shampoo: my scalpo feels so much better.
I literally can’t go more than a day without washing my hair bc of how oily it is. I can wash my hair right before going to bed and when I wake up the next morning you’re able to see oily spots.
Diana Hernandez if you have just a few days that you can go without doing anything or a few days you can just not wash your hair, you can train it to not get so oily. Lots of shampoos really dry out your hair and your scalp, which makes your scalp produce more oil to compensate. You can train your hair, so to speak, to be less oily. All you need is 2 cycles of 3 days without a wash and it'll make your hair get oily less quickly.
Johni Autumn I’ve actually tried this before during the summer where I have nothing to do besides lay in bed, although it wasn’t that exact same cycle. I would just not wash my hair until I absolutely needed to go somewhere which ended up being like 4 days and I did it again the following week but saw absolutely no difference! I tried various other methods as well like adding in more moisturizer of some sort in which I used coconut oil before bed to trick my hair into being not dry basically but that also didn’t work! At this point I just gave up and now shower every. Single. Morning 🤷♀️
Diana Hernandez that's intense 😬 oh well, as long as it works for you. My hair used to get really really oily in only 2 days, but now I can go 5 without shampoo and it's not even that bad. It took me about 8 months though lol
Here’s a tip for anyone with medium/fine straight hair: rinse once a week! I use a mix of green tea, aloe Vera, and a small amount of apple cider vinegar! It’s awesome. I wash my hair Monday, use the rinse wednesday, and wash again Friday.
I used to wash my hair twice a week, then I gradually added a day more and more over three years, now I wash it every 10 days! With a very natural shampoo :)
holisticmaya that's my plan too! I can do 4 or sometimes 5. I hope to get it up to 7 eventuallly. I use a plant based shampoo and conditioner by the company Eco store nz. It's really natural and not harsh!
I normally go like 10 to 14 days without washing my hair (might sound nasty to some but that's really how my hair likes it). My hair is dyed blue and this really helps the color stay in for so much longer. Although if my hair smells or feels really really creasy after just one week, I'll just wash it.
Lucie, you needed to use water during this time?? Most people can agree that sweat serves no benefit and needs to be rinsed off. Using shampoo (detergent) everyday is the problem, not water. There are mainly 3 things that make your hair dirty: 1. Sweat 2. Dust, debris, and other particles (like glitter :-) ) 3. Too much sebum (the natural oil your body produces) Rinsing your hair and scalp regularly with warm water, and brushing your hair and scalp with a full bristled brush will be enough to clean your hair daily. Using a chemical cleanser (shampoo; soap; baking soda; etc...) every 2 weeks or more clears sebum build up.
I have gone much longer than two weeks but then again I am black and have naturally curly hair so if i don't put product I can go 1 month. I rarely do though 😂
Celeste Gibson I'm not sure why it doesn't work for me, I have an Afro but if I don't wash it every other day I will experience extreme hair fall and super oily/Super itchy scalp.
Aida C. an Afro is different from curly hair. afro=african hair texture. our hair absorbs oils so we don't need to wash it as much we actually need to add product
@@tigrispanthera5496 because our hair is thicker so it takes a lot more time to get oily and if we were to wash our hair every day we would be damaging it by stripping it of our natural oils and yes you are probably thinking "you can just put oil in it" but that's not how it works so yeah you're welcome
Most people who don't wash their hair do still rinse their hair with water. Washing your hair everyday is very damaging and drying for your hair and can cause your scalp to over produce oil. I go 2 or 3 days in between washing my hair, and I use an all natural, vegan, cruelty free, raw shampoo and conditioner. And I use a bamboo brush with bamboo bristles. My hair has never been healthier. 😊
Omg, not washing for even a week would drive me crazy. How did your skin feel after 2 weeks? If I ever go 3 days without washing, I feel like my face has excess oil from my hair.
You're dumb it's not poor hygiene. You're just gonna be stuck in a paradox . The reason you have oily hair is bc u wash it everyday. Try to gradually go longer, wash with much less shampoo, sometimes just wash with water.
I've been addicted to watching little videos like this from Buzzfeed. But Buzzfeed has gone stale to me. I saw Refinery was recommended to be and I just started watching and i'm hooked. I once didn't wash my hair for n entire month and have only been washing it once a week for the majority of the past 5 1/2 years and for me that has really been working super well.
i have trich so on a daily basis I tend to touch my scalp quite often hence why I have to wash it every two days... clean hair has always helped me feel more confident and less proned to pulling so i've basically started using really mild products in terms of shampoos so I can wash it often :)

I couldn't even do 4 days. My scalp started itching so bad, that I actually scratched my scalp bloody. So no I don't think this is healthy for my hair.
hello :) My hair has loose curls, a few months ago I washed it with only water (once a week) for 5 weeks, also brushing every other day, The first two weeks were great, but then my scalp started creating more and more of a grey-ish buildup that made my fingers greasy anytime I would massage my scalp and my hair felt more heavy. It didn't look that bad most days, and the buildup didn't get worse after a while. But it didn't get better ether and when I read it might take me up to a year till the scalp starts regulating itself completely and not create as much grey buildup, I decided to wash my hair again! And that was heaven on earth! I have to say, though, my hair felt more nourished than after any hairmask once I washed it once and from there on I only needed to wash once a week, instead of the two times a week I had done prior my little experiment. xoxo
Frohe Minimalistin it really helps to take sometimes drastic steps to 'unlearn' you hair from greasing so fast. I also wash my hair once a week und its such a difference for my hair (also have curly hair). I struggle with dandruff a lot but washing my hair once a week helps it not to have itchy and dry sculp. Also i love how healthy it is growing back. (+ saving water and products i mean thats sooo much if you think about that!!)
Everybody is different, because I have curly hair, like spiraling and I can go for a week and a half easily. But my hair will get so so so knotted.and it won’t be pretty either...
Some people don't wash their hair for a while because it's healthier. Your hair gets used to it anyways! I've got thick straight dark brown hair and I wash my hair once a week and it looks fine for that time :') so
i put some shampoo in an empty bottle then fill the rest with water and shake it, which means i use less amount and more lather, so less harsh and less damage.. i also put oil on the ends b4 shower to protect the dry ends.
My hair is up to my belly button and I I've gone with out washing my hair for I think around a week and it looked fine at the end but it had no volume cause the oil was making it stick to my head and my hair was full of oil. I'm never doing it again
I can’t stand the smell of not washing my hair nor can my scalp handle more than every other day washing. It feels like my scalp is on fire! Anyone else??
If you want to wash your hair less and only wash it once a week, you have to train your hair. Most people are like "if I go 2-3 days without washing my hair, it gets so greasy!" But once you "train it" then you CAN go 2-3 days and it won't be greasy! Every week, increase your days. One week go 2 days, next week 3 days, next week 4 days, etc. Eventually it'll get to where you can go a week or longer without washing, and it won't be greasy. I can go 2-4 weeks without washing my hair, and it won't be greasy. My hair is WAY healthier and grows SUPER quick now!!! When I was washing it every day to every 2-3 days, I had more damage, dryer hair, slower grow rate, etc. Now it's super healthy & grows quick! And I've had numerous hair stylist comment on how healthy my hair was and asked what I used. I don't even use an expensive shampoo or hair products anymore and just use shampoo & conditioner I buy from my grocery store. So it saves me money, saves me time in the shower, have healthier hair, and it grows faster! My hair isn't greasy, gunky, smelly, looks gross, none of that. Once you train it, your hair & scalp like adjust I guess? I dunno the science or reasoning behind it. But I won't go back, I know that much! If I go back to washing my hair every 2-3 days, it goes back to being greasy, gunky & nasty. So I went back to washing it only once every 2-4 weeks. Plus if you dye your hair, the color will last longer. And when I use to bleach my hair, it actually helped it not be so damaged. Some people think I might be nuts, but I'm WAY HAPPIER with my hair!! Like I said, it's so much more healthier & grows faster, and it's not greasy or gunky or smelly. Oh, and my scalp isn't dry or full of dandruff either!
If you are going to comment on a 5 month old comment about how is is 'sheter' than 'doctor sues', please spell AT LEAST one of those things correctly. *Shitter *Dr Seuss *paragraph
Mines the opposite. My hair never used to be greasy but it grew like half an inch to an inch in like 6-8 momths. Now I wash my hair like 3 to 4 times a week and in the past like line 3 and a half months it's grow like 2 to 3 inches
This is so true. People don't train their hair and don't allow the sebum to cover it and protect it. Most people wash their hair way too often and it is dry, which results in breakage, as a result.
Your scalp is compensating for being stripped of its natural oils. The less you wash your hair the less oil your scalp will produce after a period of adaptation. It's fine to shower twice a day just don't use soap, or only use it on the bits. Stripping your skin of its natural oil will cause you to scar more easily as make you wrinkle sooner. I only wash my hair once every 1-2 weeks. I don't use dry shampoo . I used to wash it more. But when I stopped it took about three months for my scalp to adjust.
Yeah but her Caucasian scalp is producing a ton of oil for shit to get stuck in and make it smell bad. Without dry shampoo, her hair would start to become so saturated in oil it would feel wet to the touch.
I use water only most days. Maybe about every 1.5 weeks, I'll use something. I'm just starting out as of a month ago. My hair is amazing and easy to style and shiny and soft and not itchy. Sometimes I get paranoid and put a drop of lemon or lavender essential oil in a cup and pour on my hair
Pro tip! If your scalp gets itchy easily or is super dry like mine, DON'T spray dry shampoo directly onto your scalp! Some is gonna get to your roots anyway, just don't spray it there. My scalp feels SOOOOO MUCH BETTER 💜
The dry shampoo kinda diminishes the APPEARANCE of oil, and makes your hair smell better. But, that oil is still on your scalp, if you ran your fingers through your hair you will feel oil. Dry shampoo is kinda like face powder, it will mattify your face, but the oil is still there. It doesn't replace actual shampoo.
Definitely not in my experience. I have fine hair and I always try to push for 5-6 days of not washing because I loose a lot of hair when I wash my hair. Dry shampoo helps keep the oil from looking obvious but my scalp still gets pretty itchy.
Dry shampoo is not cheating... She was very specific about the rules! I wash my hair twice a week... On Wednesday & Sunday.... I live in Texas so our winter is pretty warm. So whenever it get cold I only wash it once a week... But during the summer I wash it 2 or 3 times, & it bothers me because my hair gets too dry.... My scalp is used to being a little dirty & using dry shampoo
i’m pretty sure that it depends on the person, bc my friend can go days without washing, and she’s fine. but if I don’t wash my hair every other day, then it will be VERY greasy. like it look like it’s wet. we also both have straightish wavyish hair.
Everyone's different and I wash my hair everyday because I can, but I know some people can't wash their hair everyday because of oil or whatever. It honestly depends on the person. (and don't yell at me because I do go some days without washing)
Just wondering but do I go too far in the other direction? I only wash it every 3-6 months, longest I've gone without washing is 7 months, and I only do so because dust, dirt, and sand start to accumulate in my hair.
Exactly. When I was younger, my hair used to get super oily if I didn't wash it for two days, because I was used to washing it out (usually with only water) everyday with my shower. Now I do a shampoo and deep condition once a week and that works fine without getting too oily or uncomfortable.
Once a week is about how often I use shampoo and conditioner too. I do rinse it with water and scrub my scalp a couple other times a week but only shampoo once and I find my hair is a lot less oily than it used to be, plus it feels healthier :).
only if you're lucky. honestly as someone with oily hair who suffers from major depressive disorder, which means sometimes there are weeks where i cannot physically manage to wash my hair and when going through episodes my hair might only get washed once a/every other week my hair has never made it to a place where it is not gross two days after being washed. and i mean like wet looking gross.
It depends on the person. For me it doesn't work, no matter if I wash my hair everyday or every 3 days, the day after the shower my hair is oily again, but I wash it every 2-3 days anyways to keep it moisturized.
I agree with the majority here, dry shampoo is totally cheating.
Mhmm, she said I'm the first minute she "didn't want to use Anything"
what does cheating means? is dry shampoo bad?
venusss cheating the challenge. It’s not bad, it just messes up the data.
Yet you are probably spraying perfume into it making it smell like dirty shit. Use it, it works stop being a piece of shit.
Well, it’s more of a loophole.

Casey Tyree I disagree. She is an honest person! Every persons hair is different.
Nabiha Javed Lucies hair is not very thick, and it's straight
Casey Tyree or she just has dandruff? Dry shampoo isn’t the only cause of dandruff and also not everyone who uses dry shampoo has dandruff.
Also dry shampoo is not the equivalent of cleaning your hair. All it does it take up some oils
We both have the same hair then
Whoa your hair still looks so good after a couple of days of not washing it!
My hair is really straight and heavy and it already is really greasy on the second day of not washing it... :/

Normal in the black community and it's actually healthier for your hair.
sw33tnycandy Not for everyone
@@kensiem8252 it's always healthier to not wash daily. When washing , you are removing natural oils on your scalp which coats the scalp and hair with healthy oils. The only reason why many people with loose curls and straight hair have oily hair is due to over washing. The body's response to being stripped of the vital oils is to produce more. Washing less will tell the body that high oil production isn't needed. It takes time for the scalp to the adjust but overall the scalp and hair is healthier with less washing.
sw33tnycandy i wash once a week. Light products and handling with a protective style. That is all I do

Lauren ._. Ashlyn shampoo and dry shampoo are too different things sis
Brynlee Drosky ok but it is SHAMPOO!!!!!!!!!!
Brooke Granzow no not really. Dry shampoo covers hair oil. Shampoo cleans the hair
It always has alot of oil bc it holds the curls but when I keep it like that my curls feel so good and my hair grows long and thick
dont we all have natural hair? lol

MissJessyeNorman I never cowash. Lol. I always shampoo because I use products so cowashing only adds to the buildup for me.
427IndigenousSkies I just don't wash my hair all the time cuz it's break my hair off
"I went 1 week without washing my hair and then I chickened out and started using dry shampoo"
Bethany Wakeman wow you state fact that I say I only wash my hair once a month but I do run warm water under it and massage it for a while
if you have naturally wavy or curly hair, using baking soda and apple cider vinegar rinse is fine.. my hair is long and thick because of this.. it did not do any damage
Anna Channon that’s like doing a perm everyone you wash.
Wait Apple cider vinegar isn't good for your hair

I went almost 1 month without washing my hair.
Depression makes me angry.
Lucie, you needed to use water during this time?? Most people can agree that sweat serves no benefit and needs to be rinsed off.
Using shampoo (detergent) everyday is the problem, not water.
There are mainly 3 things that make your hair dirty:
1. Sweat
2. Dust, debris, and other particles (like glitter :-) )
3. Too much sebum (the natural oil your body produces)
Rinsing your hair and scalp regularly with warm water, and brushing your hair and scalp with a full bristled brush will be enough to clean your hair daily.
Using a chemical cleanser (shampoo; soap; baking soda; etc...) every 2 weeks or more clears sebum build up.

Who else here has curly hair? When she said “ harsh detergents” that are in shampoo I was literally like girl, what are you talking about my shampoo has non of that shit...
Alessia Ciddio lol if you're curly and still using shampoos w sulfate and conditioners w silicones SWITCH NOW. your hair will finally be able to breathe! that sht aint meant for us curlies.
Not everybody with curly hair can find shampoo without harsh detergents (aka sulfates) easily. Consider yourself lucky.
Jesus Christ you’re just not looking hard enough
@@izzyxo3571
lol no
Almost everybody here has straight hair or chemically straightens their hair if its curly. There's never sulfate-free shampoos no matter where I go.
@@beepboopily6285 you will be able to find it. I'm speaking from experience, I live in the middle east and it is hard but you can find stuff online or just buy stuff that came from canada & america etc.
I couldn't even do 4 days. My scalp started itching so bad, that I actually scratched my scalp bloody. So no I don't think this is healthy for my hair.
i get the same problem after day 2, we might just produce unusual amounts of oil. do you have acne too?
No acne, but my hair does get greasy really fast.
typos included that's because you've been washing your hair too often. it's a gradual process
bedtimeat8 That happens to me and I have acne.
some people just produce a lot of oil, its frustrating but you can't really do much about it
Literally everybody: *laughs in black/curly hair/ depression*
hello :) My hair has loose curls, a few months ago I washed it with only water (once a week) for 5 weeks, also brushing every other day,
The first two weeks were great, but then my scalp started creating more and more of a grey-ish buildup that made my fingers greasy anytime I would massage my scalp and my hair felt more heavy. It didn't look that bad most days, and the buildup didn't get worse after a while. But it didn't get better ether and when I read it might take me up to a year till the scalp starts regulating itself completely and not create as much grey buildup, I decided to wash my hair again! And that was heaven on earth! I have to say, though, my hair felt more nourished than after any hairmask once I washed it once and from there on I only needed to wash once a week, instead of the two times a week I had done prior my little experiment.
xoxo
Frohe Minimalistin xoxo thanks for sharing this!!!
Look up scritching and preening!
*Laughs in curly hair~ness*
She’s got huge eyesss
Looking For Amy ikr lol
Looking For Amy no shes got a little face😊
Mamma Dingo both
I know, right? I really like them for some reason.
Angelina girl me too🤣
My 4B hair would fall all the way out if I washed my hair everyday! I'm more like twice a month ✌
Once or twice a month is fine for me too
I have 4a 4b hair and my hair gets washed once a week sometimes twice because it gets dirty and greasy.
My sister has 4c hair and she can barely hold moisture. Washing it everyday would ruin her. I have 3c hair so I hold moisture pretty well

Now I wash my hair like 3 to 4 times a week and in the past like line 3 and a half months it's grow like 2 to 3 inches
leah martinez yeah no I can’t go 1 day without washing my hair or it looks greasy and oily
This is so true. People don't train their hair and don't allow the sebum to cover it and protect it. Most people wash their hair way too often and it is dry, which results in breakage, as a result.
My hair would get SO greasy I would have to wash it every other day. I bought a conditioner for greasy hair and now it lasts clean for 4 or 5 days
Sara Rifat what brand is it?
It's a white brand from a spanish supermarket, supersol, but I'm guessing any one for greasy hair would work
this is just me during a depressive episode lmfao
OH MY GOD COMMENT OF THE YEAR
i can't believe how great your hair looks after 2 weeks of no wasshing !!!
Wtf my hair gets so oily after 1 day i dont wash it your hair after 2 weeks looks like my hair after i take a shower i have to shower twice a day
I think you need to change your shampoo
Sameeeee
I used to be like that for a while but I just stuck to an every other day routine and eventually my hair/scalp adapted to that after only 2-3 weeks.
So silly and wasteful to wash every day!
I'm black.. I wash my hair once a month and it doesn't smell....
Yeah but her Caucasian scalp is producing a ton of oil for shit to get stuck in and make it smell bad. Without dry shampoo, her hair would start to become so saturated in oil it would feel wet to the touch.
Your so lucky ..mine stinks up after the 4th day lol
But your scalp probably does, no?
ratata no i African American and Puerto Rican and i have thick lose curly hair and i wash my hair 2 times a month and i dosent stink
what
if you don't use shampoo, you should still wash it with water.
jem 2096 Dirty hair is still dirty after using water, and really hard to style. Better to actually not wash it at that point.
the water is boiling girl what? No it’s not there is still gonna be product and oil in your Cuticles
The rules were no water watch the vid
Isn't dry shampoo cheaten?
yes, 100%
The dry shampoo kinda diminishes the APPEARANCE of oil, and makes your hair smell better. But, that oil is still on your scalp, if you ran your fingers through your hair you will feel oil. Dry shampoo is kinda like face powder, it will mattify your face, but the oil is still there. It doesn't replace actual shampoo.
No it's not. It does not equate washing your hair.
Definitely not in my experience. I have fine hair and I always try to push for 5-6 days of not washing because I loose a lot of hair when I wash my hair. Dry shampoo helps keep the oil from looking obvious but my scalp still gets pretty itchy.
She should've used a more natural dry shampooo i think.. like Arrow root powder..
It’s extremely bad to wash your hair every day. How do some people not know that 😂
REALLY?😅
i’m pretty sure that it depends on the person, bc my friend can go days without washing, and she’s fine. but if I don’t wash my hair every other day, then it will be VERY greasy. like it look like it’s wet. we also both have straightish wavyish hair.
but also i’m no professional lol
Everyone's different and I wash my hair everyday because I can, but I know some people can't wash their hair everyday because of oil or whatever. It honestly depends on the person. (and don't yell at me because I do go some days without washing)
Just wondering but do I go too far in the other direction? I only wash it every 3-6 months, longest I've gone without washing is 7 months, and I only do so because dust, dirt, and sand start to accumulate in my hair.
If you don't wash that often, the amount of oil you hair is producing decreases.
Iiduli That works for some people. But if your like my cousin she has to wash it everyday. it's just her hair type
It depends on the person. For me it doesn't work, no matter if I wash my hair everyday or every 3 days, the day after the shower my hair is oily again, but I wash it every 2-3 days anyways to keep it moisturized.
If you compared my hair 12 hours after washing it with Lucie's hair 2 weeks after washing it, mine would look worse.
Margarita Math Ga mine as well
