Thing I love about this movie: they make all the "two dudes skating is gay" jokes you'd expect leading up to this routine, then Chazz reaches out to Jimmy and suddenly nobody gives a crap about that anymore, not the characters or the audience. It's just a buddy comedy where the premise happens to be figure skating. Meanwhile, their coach and choreographer are a couple and nobody says a thing about it. Very clever. Also, beginning with the assumption that there's something deviant about the protagonists because they're two men skating together, and then ending with the realization that it was Stranz and Fairchild who were fucked up the entire time and no one noticed because of their genders? Very well done.
2:41 - I remember laughing so hard at this scene when I saw it in the theater. Everyone in the audience lost it. Also the scene right before this where the hot dog vendor says, "Does this look right to you?" Then the camera pans down and shows two hot dogs sharing the same bun. LOL!.
Today at my highschool 2 seniors always roller blade around and after school together, they decided for the talent show to recreate this with constumes on point and wigs, did everything the same as this video, even threw eachother on to the floor, the judges were absolutely amazed and it was so funny, they even added the flowers at the end and ofc got first place

I didnt know this movie was shot in Montreal and when I realize, watching some familiar city features on the screen, I guessed the indoors scenes were shot in the Montreal Forum, but no, they were shot in LA. The weird thing is, I was living in Montreal at the time and I didnt even known about this production.
