This song came out the weekend my best friend died. It will always hold in my heart
Kenny Chesney is my 2nd cousin on my grandfather,s side of the family he used play this song me all the time Kenny would come by all the time when we was growing up and thank you bro for giving him a chance to open some heart,s
Song always reminds me of friend we lost over 30 years ago and I wonder who he’d be today. Still miss my friend.
I played this song at my little brother's funeral, who died when he was 17. It's been 15 years and this song/video still kills me inside.
I am very sorry for your loss. I know what it's like to lose a brother. My older brother passed 22 years ago. You gave yours a wonderful, heartfelt tribute with this song.
Love Kenny
My first wife's and my son(Justin Montana Holt) died, one month after birth.
It never goes away. Especially since since Carol died of cancer in February.
Country Music artists, especially from the 1990s, loved honoring parents/grandparents in music. Some of my favorite songs about grandfathers are He Walked on Water by Randy Travis and Grandpa Told Me So by Kenny Chesney.
My homie Collin, he past in a car crash at 17 on New years eve morning a couple years back and man, I wonder he would be today that's for sure..Never had a friend like him. I miss u man
This came out around the same time my daughter was stillborn. It's one of the tough ones from then.
One of my best friends growing up got bone cancer and she died at 17 yrs old. This song always kills me thinking about her and what she would be doing if she were alive today
Omg! 😢😢. You b ok. Gotta feel it to heal it. Look at glass "OVER FILLED"!!❤
I watched MY MOM die UNEXPECTEDLY I 2018. Killed me, but I am healed. Hurting is healthy, but sharing our pain with supportive friends is a blessing. We got ya❤
When you talked about your grandpa just reminded me as my grand father was in WWII. What I ask is would he be proud of me now and do I deserve what him and all veterans have done for us.
This song gets ya every time.
This song makes me think of so many people I've lost. I lost my mom when she was only 32 (I was 9). My best friend when we were 18. One of our closests friends a few years ago at 30. It's a beautiful song to remember them.
Country Music (especially 90s Country) tells it like it is and if there’s any emotion that you’re dealing with, this genre will bottle those feelings up and make music that will hopefully help you. My favorite songs from Kenny Chesney are That’s Why I’m Here; The Tin Man; All I Need to Know; Grandpa Told Me So; You Win, I Win, We Lose; There Goes My Life; Me and You; Who You’d Be Today; Don't Blink, A Chance; Fall in Love; and Every Other Weekend (duet with Reba McEntire).
