    Hey Nick I highly recommend you to stop putting down black plastic. Use landscape fabric instead. Black plastic with gravel and hot summers kill plants. Its recommended to even leave a short of well around plants and trees so they can get the oxygen they need. At least here in AZ plastic is big no no. Hope this recommendation helps you out. Good work

    Spending a few minutes to put a couple vertical cuts in bigger decorative walls like that tend to ease the stress a bit and quicken the demo. You can pretty much snap off 2-4ft sections like a Hershey bar and keep the clean up pretty straight forward

    You guys made that place look great! A couple pieces of advice from personal experience, throwing down a quick sheet of 1/2" plywood on the concrete can save you some headaches if the brick/block falls the wrong way and keeps it from scraping up the concrete. Second is definitely a thumb for your mini, it would have cut your cleanup time in half for the brick demo, and also would have allowed you to control the demo better. Third would be to use a demo hammer (corded or cordless) right at the house to make a separation prior to demo (again, a few extra minutes can save a major headache in the event the house would get damaged). It would also show you if they had dowled rebar into the existing house, if they had done that you could have pulled the brick facade right off the house (or worse). Fourth would be to always consult your insurance agent prior to doing this type of job, including shooting them over a few quick pics, that way they can't say you didn't make them aware (if you did this, obviously disregard). Fifth and finally, when looking at a demo job like that, don't be afraid to reach out to a local masonry or general contractor for help on the bid. If we were taking those walls down, we probably would have been between $6-10k just for that alone. Usually if you tell the contractor you call what you're trying to do, they're usually willing to help. If I can ever be of assistance to you in the future (if you ever run into another job like this) send me a PM. I'd be glad to talk to you guys on the phone even if I could help you out. Keep up the great work and videos!

    • @readysetsleep
      @readysetsleep 3 года назад

      Fuel Cost to get gear and employees to work site
      Distance from equipment storage yard
      Employees needed
      Output of employees - days for job - labor cost
      Cost of materials
      Disposal of waste Material
      Fuel cost to drive to dispose of waste material
