Thanks to YOU our Kickstarter was funded in 48 hrs and The Wayfarer TV Series will become a reality!
"The Wayfarer" is our proof of concept short film for our upcoming live-action fantasy series based on the classic RPG trope "you meet in a tavern".
Our short film, "The Wayfarer" serves as our proof of concept for the show and gives us the first glimpse into the world of the Wayfarers.
Over 2.5 years went into making this film, and it wouldn't be possible without the help of our amazing friends and family, talented artists, and awesome actors.
Thank you for stopping by, next round is on us!
Note: Our TV show is undergoing a name change to The Wayfarer, but the same great content and storylines will remain. We feel this new title better captures the essence of the show. In some of the older content, you may hear James & John refer to the show as "Tavern Brawl", the old working title. Rest assured, that these are not two separate shows. Tavern Brawl is now The Wayfarer!
This was a quiet, beautiful piece of art. A window into a world far away. Thank you for this. It is truly appreciated.
Yay!!! Someone with an actual resonant voice and not that annoying fake yell-growl crap most guys try in these stories. Mr. Winter actually sounds like a storyteller! Good pick for this role.
Please don't leave us hanging! I saw that this was made last February. This was good. Please don't stop.
A good yarn within a yarn rounded off with an unexpected, cliff-hanger epilogue. Good job!
Happy to hear you enjoyed it!
Well done! Made me feel like I was taking part in a good D&D session 30 years ago....
"Are you a Wayfarer?" Smart kid-- I was asking the same question!
I really don't know what to say...

This is awesome! I loved everything and was surprised in all the work that you put into this piece, thank you!
🔵 What a way to end it!!....WITH NO END!
I call no fair!
I liked the quote about the best time to travel being during the storm. I thought the line: “she has way too much energy” about the daughter would be better rewritten as “she has a very adventurous (or curious) mind”. Overall, I loved the story, and am curious to how the evil is still around if the queen was thrown into the sea. Did she die or no? And where did the spiders come from or did I miss that part in the beginning?
This is so good why doesn’t it have more likes
Good question. Because the internet is lazy. 64000 views only 1200 likes.
This has been genuinely inspiring. Absolutely loved every minute of it
This is amazing, you guys are amazing, and what's to come is the most exciting of all.

Seriously this is awesome and surprising... I really didn't thought before that this short film would be so good, I mean like I'm stunned... Its really a short film to escape into another realm of fantasy medieval feelings
Super glad you enjoyed it!
You definitely deserve more views!
wow.....
that was really good!
I love the drawings! They gave me major Witcher 3 vibes.
A lot of our inspiration came from the parallax scenes in The Witcher 3! Glad you enjoyed it!
FACTSSS im glad I'm not the only ons
This was a nice story. I hope there are more.
Keep you eye out for more soon!
This looks interesting. I think it needs rose brew mead to make the setting.
Not bad! I enjoyed it. Full of well worn fantasy tropes, but feels like a celebration of them, rather than just a tired use of cleche. My only major problem was the little girl outright asking him if he was a Wayfarer. Too on the nose, if you ask me. Sometimes subtle clues are all you need. It felt as if they didn't trust the audience to pick up on this without saying it. I had already picked up on that without her having to say it. Him and the elf chick exchanging a forlorn glance was enough.to get it. Anyhow, it feels like a cool start to something much bigger. Good stuff.
Thanks for the feedback! Always good to hear criticism that isn't mean-spirited. Thanks for watching!
This...
This is beautiful...

¡Hola! Después de ver tu comentario, agregamos subtítulos en español. Desafortunadamente, no hablamos español, ¡así que tendrás que avisarnos si los subtítulos son buenos! ¡Disfrutar!
Low the channel
I was left feeling the story was not told. A little to much left for the imagination to fish. not that i can't, More like that's not what i watch a film for. Not to mention there was zero tavern brawl. Enjoyed what you did film. Just felt you left out to much for my taste.
This is was great however public intoxication and nudity wouldnt have been an issue at all in the medieval times.
Irl, those thugs would have chopped his chewer off , while he was still standing there with his eyes closed, for some reason. I could be wrong of course, but I just feel the old "Close your eyes and hope they disappear" tactic, has one or two major flaws. One being the simple fact that....well, you can't see them, can ye!!! Also, trying to stop any blade with your neck, has proven to be kind of....a flawed tactic, through the ages.
He was just closing his eyes to concentrate his energy bro lol
Mmm. Good try. The problem with too many of these fantasy stories is too low a budget to give it weight, too shallow a story to have meaningful content. Good guy with a gun, eh, magic vs a bad guy with a gun, eh, sword. That's soo cliché. The script needs a real issue underneath. Like corruption of those who see to do good, and making a mess. Or how to make a difference when more violence only makes matters worse? Also, this main character is already powerful. He's not in danger in the end. So, the real tension is missing. As Americans I'd advise making a wild west fantasy, mixing native stories, with magic brought from Europe. Then set pieces, and landscape choices would be way cheaper. The feel would be much more real. Perhaps start in a modern setting even. Evil business set to kill a small town through dark magic (a metaphor for the opioid crisis?) and an ancient wayfarer traveler coming in to help?
Thank you for the feedback!
Sounds like you've got a lot of good ideas, maybe work on something like this and show us what ya got
another nightmare story
Decent production value, but your cast is desperately in need of a personal trainer.
Such potential and then to go with such a thinly veiled political message. How sad
I love this!
