that’s lovely, great sportsmanship shown by Emilien! this is what our sport is all about, encouraging each other and pushing each other forward. bad days happen to everyone so well done to JTB for finishing the race!
The scene will go down in history. That's the sort of pictures which makes sport so great to practise or watch. International solidarity despite competition. Great.
Beautiful moment. Very touching to see and lovely explanation: Johannes is a role model for every biathlete, whatever the level. The yellow bib is a symbol, but even the greatest athlete can have a very rough day. Just stay proud of yourself, even in those rough patches, and stay worthy in respect of yours fans. ❤️
Bravo Emilien! With that kind gesture of kindness you showed the world that you’re not the bad guy, as they say all the time. Very proud of you!!!! This heart of gold will payoff because you deserve it!
Ugly comment. He bowed to the public very ironically after his last shooting, which shows a great sense of humour and auto-derision. You don't see that every day with great champions. Johannes always smiles and doesn't behave like a star. And I'm not Norwegian ! Besides, he DID finish the race, just as Emilien asked him to. I loved the scene.
I do not agree that he was being a bad loser. He gave the fans a show with his 4th shooting and then acknowledged the crowd with respect and humility. If he, indeed, was thinking of withdrawing at that point, I think it was because he underestimated the importance of what Emilien expressed here. It didn't take much from Emilien. The exchange was brief; Johannes appeared very open to his input in "the moment" ... which is not a characteristic of a bad loser. He readily continued and finished with his head held high.

Très belle réaction d’Emilien !

Dafür liebe ich diesen Sport, diese ausgeglichene Waage zwischen Konkurrenz und Freundschaft ist einfach immer wieder schön anzusehen. 🤩😊

He's been sick and felt bad that day as he said in a post interview.
