- On this second set of flying I had to cancel some flights and miss events due to storms passing through the midwest. But safety first is priority. Big lesson learned here.

FAQs
- What airplane is this? This is a Cirrus SR22T (Turbo) Generation 6 (G6) built in December 2018.
- Why do you fly so much? I fly for business primarily supporting my clients and staff at meetings and conferences and vendor partner relationship building for my Government Payments platform company called Autoagent
- What do you use to record your videos? I use 3 GoPro cameras (models 5, 6, 7), I use ND4, 8, 16 filters on the cameras, I use a Sony FRD-AX53 4K camera with mechanically stabilized optical zoom, my iPhone 13 PRO MAX for many of the video shots you see when the 4K camera is too bulky to carry. I record audio with an old iPhone using voice notes and I use a cockpit audio recording cable I bought on Sporty's.
- What software do you use to edit your videos? I use Final Cut Pro on a MacBook and iMac
- Where do you find good royalty free video clips? I use artgrid.io
- Do you do all the editing? Yes, all this work other than some filler video clips and music is my work 100%
- What oxygen system do you use? I use Precise Flight cannulas and their X3 oxygen conserver regulators with the boom cannula. Works good but the boom could use some better engineering.
- Do you promote products? Never! I keep my videos sponsor free and continue have unlimited and unrestricted fun without a "boss" or watching my words.
- You fly so good don't you make mistakes? I make tons of errors which I will never show you lol
- Where are you from originally? I was born and raised in beautiful Greece and came to the US as a College student. Loved the Country decided to stay and build my career here. Best decision ever.
- How do you afford to own an airplane? Airplane ownership can be expensive but when done right, in the US, it becomes a wonderful tax deduction that can allow you to fly for business almost for free. Get trained well, get a bank loan and buy yourself an airplane for your business.

I always do a facepalm when you shoot a vid of you going in (or out of) your hotel room, because I know that you had to set your camera up, then you had to get back into frame with your luggage, open the door and go thru it...THEN you had to come back out and get your camera! We appreciate what you do Niko!!

Great time to be here, the weather has been gorgeous, especially for boating down the lake. Few of us went down to the Indiana beach from Montrose harbor, excellent water for it.
Looks like you hit the storms that same day I did, came out of nowhere and dumped all over 294, could barely see. Not worth heading into, at all.

Thanks, Nico. I learn a lot from your videos about handling weather 11:07 (I’ve got the same aircraft but live in the west with much less weather). A question I’d love to see you address someday is how to handle when a requested deviation for buildups is denied. Under what circumstances would you accept flight through that cloud and when you would either cancel IFR, use emergency authority or take any other action to avoid flying into something you deem too dangerous. Basically, define the characteristics that make it too dangerous to risk. Thanks for the good work.
Any buildup can be dangerous. I’ll accept not deviating from a small buildup and deal with the bumps but a big buildup is a no-no, and I’ll deviate regardless of them alloying it, basically I will demand it.

Niko, if you happen to see anything anomalous while flying I’d love to hear your thoughts on it. Former fighter pilots, guys like Ryan Graves, are of the opinion that UAP represent a potential threat to safe aviation.
People flying hobby drones are the biggest threat. Folks if you have a drone, STAY AWAY (5 miles or more minimum under the law) from airports, any airport. And do not fly it above 200 ft. Large birds and flocks, party ballon’s.

I am writing from Poland from Europe. When flying private planes in the USA, you emit a lot of C02, warming the climate. We in Europe are taxed by governments for CO2 emissions and rich Americans emit C02 as much as they want...
My friend I drive electric cars only and drive much less than you probably but that still means nothing. You are barking at the wrong tree. Look at what we eat and how we all live and you’ll realize that the problem is much bigger than driving or flying an airplane for a few hours every month.
Also this airplane is more economic in terms of fuel consumption than most of the big SUVs on the road

Always better to be on the ground and wish you were in the air, than to be in the air and wish you were on the ground.
I looked over a couple of SR-22s (including N123VP) at an aviation show a couple of weeks ago and sat in the cockpit of a Vision Jet. I see the attraction.
A layer of IFR coming in :)
We need planes that can fly in almost any weather without it being a gamble. And we need computer ATC so there is no mumbly chitchat, just instant direct except for busy airports where you may be denied but computer tells you that. And going high where there is speed can significantly improve capability as well. And all that should be 200k or less brand new. Planes are not that complicated. With imminent UFO disclosure, all familiar concepts might be thrown out the window though. Should be interesting.
How awesome of you to come to KMDH! If your ever back in the area, you should do something with SIU aviation, a bunch of students here watch you and never even noticed you came in!
I liked the speed that the controller read your clearance to you. I swear some of them try set a word per minute record.

I remember you once said: "You don't have to be anywhere in aviation, you just have to be safe." I've used that line in my flight training with instructors and examiners after deeming the weather unsuitable for flying. They never argued with it.

Appreciate that. I've gone up to take a look turned around and came back to wait it out. Once I walked into a Flight Service Station when we had those in Grand Junction, check the charts that didn't look good for a trip to Denver, I told the girl working in there I was going to Salida, she responded, "no you're not, Monarch Pass is obscurred up through 13,000 feet", I said "OK, "I'm going to go take a look". Monarch Pass was CAVU, the next one was another story.
What I’m not showing on the video is that I actually flew trying to get to Wisconsin but came right back after seeing the radar and how bad it looked up ahead
Man! That's where I grew up! Little town in Wisconsin just west of Kenosha, had family in Milwaukee and Chicago, so tracked up and down I-94 all the time between the two! Great video my friend. Have been a watching fan for a few years now

HI watch your channel all the time, past pilot ow ed any singles and twins ,as aircraft was a Piper Aerostar one looking at the numbers of hours you are putting in,Lots IYFR, some long distances ha e you ever considered presaurizedtwin like, e Aerostar , a 700 Aerostar can fly a 260 nts at say 24,000 ft clips 2000 ft per minute, range up 1200 n tmiles. This aircraft due to high wing loading rides well in the rough air, andneverhadone breach up in the air, after many aircraft Aerostar is a dream to fly, if you get to fly one you will want o ene. Christopher Ottawa Canada close to 5000 hours with 3000 in twins, by way had three engine failures in singles after that moved on to twins,the say g is once you go Aerostar you never go back, save flying keep up the work on your great channel
Aerostar’s are nice but hard to find. Advantages are the twin engine and it does have a bit better performance than the Cirrus plus pressurization but same range. Although it’s half the price than a SR22T, you buy a 40 year old airplane that you need to put at least $100K in upgrades. Insurance costs for me would be at least double and I still don’t have a airframe parachute that other pilots think are useless.

Thanks, they do take significant time, about 1 hour of editing per minute of video. It’s one of my hobbies and something that makes me happy. Would love to fly in a Mooney.
@@NikosWings I understand, hopefully, ai in the future could make is faster. On the topic of flights, Mooney certainly is a star player, yet it's the UK's airspace that's the real game. An airborne ballet avoiding control airspace I am sure you will like it.
Lots of "safety first" (a good thing) in this video...wondering how much Niko may have been influenced to drive the safety message home by the tragic and preventable submersible story.
This flight took place July of 2022, much earlier than the crook that killed himself and his customers for profit

Man...about two-and-a-half years ago I started watching Niko's Wings. Got Truly inspired to utilize GA for personal and business. Wthin a year, I purchased my own plane and forever ditched the $200 an hour 172 rental... further contingent upon availability, maintenance, and weather, haha. Traded it for a $400 a month, fly as often as I want Piper Archer payment... My personal headset never leaves the front seat.
